As Goes Wisconsin, So Goes America

Both Michelle Malkin and Sarah Palin have recently drawn attention to the upcoming recall primary (May 5) and election (June 5) in Wisconsin:

Now is the time for all good tea partiers to come to the aid of Wisconsin. . . .

New poll data released on Tuesday show two potential Democratic rivals neck and neck with Walker. Wisconsin politicos tell me his national name recognition has bolstered public awareness and fundraising efforts. He’s currently sitting on a $5 million war chest. Walker supporters believe the Big Labor-fueled fight will be dirty, but with vigilant backing, he’ll survive.

The outlook for the unhinged Left’s secondary targets, however, is not so bright. Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, a tea party candidate who is not part of the GOP establishment, is being treated as collateral damage by the party. Outside of Wisconsin, most conservative activists are not even aware that she may be booted from office for simply doing her job. Kleefisch told me that on a recent fundraising swing in D.C., national GOP leaders were shocked to learn of her plight.

. . .

From Sarah Palin, a rousing call to arms — As Goes Wisconsin, so Goes America; Support Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch:

Governor Walker has left the far Left unhinged, so he’s had to amass a war chest to fend off the lies and dirty dealings in the capitol; and, thankfully, it’s predicted he’ll survive his recall.

But the recall fight that is just as important is Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s. Please click this link to help her.

Malkin’s column reports on some of the smear tactics against the Lt. Gov., but you’ll need a strong stomach.

Support Lt. Governor Kleefisch!

UPDATE Apr-19-12: Tim Dake, leader of the Wisconsin Tea Party group Grandsons of Liberty, spoke the other day to Ned Ryun at American Spectator:

In response to the unions' and Democrats' efforts to derail the Walker agenda through the recalls, we created, in partnership with another Wisconsin group and a Texas group, the Verify the Recall online effort. This project was created to provide citizens a method of participating in the recall process and to ensure clean elections. …We no longer trust government agencies to carry out their tasks without bias.

Conservatives believe that protecting Walker translates into protecting the conservative agenda and movement. … Lose Walker and his momentum, and the unions and socialism reign supreme; protect Walker, and treat it as a public mandate to forge ahead.

Tim had more to say about the Tea Party movement in general, the GOP, and the 2012 elections:

Since the 2010 elections, two key developments have changed the relationship between the Tea Party and the GOP: attempts by local groups to 'take over' their county GOP chapters—either amicably or hostilely—and counter-attempts by the GOP to co-opt the local groups. A showdown is inevitable. . . .

The lack of an acceptable conservative presidential candidate appears to be, in the eyes of the media, a reflection on the strength of the Tea Party and is therefore a failure of the Tea Party and yet another harbinger of the movement's demise. In Wisconsin, several groups, ours included, have written off the presidential race to focus on the all-important open U.S. Senate seat and the ongoing recall efforts.

Some Ohio Tea Party Patriots may likewise be discouraged about the candidates running for President, but that doesn’t mean we’re not planning on major efforts to Get Out The Vote, for all races -- federal, state, and local. And a top priority for Cleveland Tea Party Patriots is to make sure that Sen. Sherrod Brown and Pres. Obama are held to account – based on their record in office.

Grassroots Rally Team of OH: Candle Light Vigil on Illegal Immigration

From The Grassroots Rally Team of Ohio --

Please Join Us For A Candle Light Vigil

Speaker Boehner & House Leadership

Unemployed Americans

“CAN YOU SEE US NOW?”

When: Saturday April 21, 2012
Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Speaker Boehner's West Chester OH Office
Address: 7969 Cincinnati - Dayton Rd. West Chester, OH

Dear Concerned Citizens,

Please join us on April 21, 2012 at the West Chester, Ohio office of Speaker of the House John Boehner for a candle light vigil to “shine a light” on America’s illegal immigration issues and concerns.

Speaker Boehner and U.S. House Leadership have been silent in addressing American’s concerns about illegal immigration, E-Verify and the resulting economic impact on citizens across the nation.  The current unemployment rate is 8.3% nationally and there are 8 million illegal workers employed in U.S.

Why are there illegal aliens with jobs that are sorely needed and deserved by U.S. citizens?  Why are illegal aliens receiving taxpayer supported benefits while unemployed citizens are struggling?  Why are big business and agricultural special interest groups afforded the opportunity to voice their wants to the Speaker while concerned citizens are still waiting to be heard?

This is our opportunity to be seen and heard.  Your presence and participation is needed to send a message of patriotism and solidarity.  Each candle that is lit that evening will represent you, your family and friends and millions of concerned citizens across the United States of America.  Please take the time to join us and bring someone with you!  This peaceful demonstration of unity and concern will not go unnoticed and your presence is vital!

Judicial Watch Exposes MORE White House Lies

Pretty sad that we went from a country of President George Washington - who could not tell a lie, to President Barack Obama who can ONLY tell a lie....

From Judicial Watch --

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents suggesting the Obama White House approved of the decision to fire U.S. Department of Agriculture employee Shirley Sherrod on July 19, 2010, based on what were thought to be racist statements made by Sherrod during a speech at a NAACP meeting on March 27, 2010. Despite the fact that former White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs claimed that the Obama White House played no role in the decision, the documents also indicate that White House officials helped craft and approved the language used by the Secretary of Agriculture in announcing the acceptance of Sherrod’s forced resignation.

The 282 pages recently obtained by Judicial Watch pursuant to an August 2, 2010, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request are in addition to the 900 documents previously disclosed in October 2010.  The new documents consist of internal emails between U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) employees and White House staff members in devising a public response to a rapidly growing controversy over the firing of Sherrod, who served as the USDA’s Georgia State Director of Rural Development.  After the Sherrod dismissal backfired, former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claimed “this was… a decision that was made by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” and denied that the Obama White House was involved in her being asked to resign.

However, the emails obtained by Judicial Watch reveal that the Obama administration had early knowledge and was involved in subsequent decisions. For example:
  • When informed on July 19, 2010, about Sherrod’s statements at the NAACP meeting, then-White House spokesperson Reid Cherlin emailed then-USDA Director of Communications Chris Mather “[H]as she been fired?”
  • In an effort to emphasize what Vilsack needed to say to the press former Special Assistant to the President and White House Cabinet Communications Director Tom Gavin emailed to Mather on July 19, 2010, “Just [t]o be clear, this is the Secretary’s quote, right?”  Mather responded, “I think it should be, don’t you,” to which Gavin replied, “absolutely.”
  • As events unfolded on July 19, 2010, Mather emailed Gavin at the White House, “Did you connect with the NAACP?”  Gavin responded, “OPE [Office of Public Engagement] did. We’ll be fine.”
Within the documents released to Judicial Watch is an email chain indicating that Gavin oversaw the writing and obtained counsel approval of the announcement by Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack on July 19, 2010, in which Vilsack stated, “Today, I accepted Ms. Sherrod’s resignation.  There is zero tolerance for discrimination at USDA, and I strongly condemn any act of discrimination against any person.”  In approving the copy, Gavin indicated in a July 19, 2010, email “We are good with this version on this end.”

According to Shirley Sherrod, who is an African-American, the Obama administration forced her to resign from her job after an excerpt of a speech she gave at the NAACP meeting appeared in a video posted online.  In the controversial video, first disclosed by the late Andrew Breitbart, Sherrod described her reluctance to help a white farmer save his land.  Further into the talk, Sherrod described how she later went on to work with the farmer and his wife over a two-year period to help prevent foreclosure on his farm.

The White House and the USDA reacted immediately to the video to quell what they assumed would be a furor over Sherrod’s controversial remarks.  As reported by CNN, according to Sherrod, Deputy Undersecretary for Rural Development for the USDA Cheryl Cook called her three times, stressing that the White House wanted her to resign.

However, Robert Gibbs issued a denial that the White House played a role in the decision.  According to Politico:

“This was, as you heard Secretary Vilsack say yesterday, a decision that was made by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,” said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, who refused even to say which senior Obama aides have been involved in the process.

“The president was briefed yesterday and has been briefed, obviously, today as well,” added Gibbs, who said the White House was informed but not “consulted” about the firing.

“The Sherrod firing was clearly an embarrassment for the Obama administration, but that is no excuse for the Obama White House to cover up its role in the decision to fire Sherrod.  The Obama White House would rather we just accept their explanations, but facts can be pesky things.  The documents clearly show that White House officials played a key role in the decision to force Sherrod’s resignation and then misled the American people about that role,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Let's Continue the Fight - Join the Road to Repeal of Obamacare

It was not too long ago that the nation and Tea Party groups were outraged when Obamacare was forced down our throats. The country was besides itself that our elected officials would pass an over 2000 page bill that would enact many new taxes and regulatory agencies without even reading it.

Everyone vowed to continue the fight... everyone was thrilled to death over the lawsuits being filed against Obamacare -- there is no way we would stand for this -- right?

Well, it appears the collective "we would not stand for this" that once overwhelmed our country about Obamacare has subsided to a reluctant resignation of acceptance.

What happened? Have you given up?  Have you quit?
Are you going to let Obama and the left win?

As many are already aware, the main goal of Obamacare was never about healthcare and was always about control of "We the People."  The recent attacks on our Religious Freedom are being driven through provisions in Obamacare.  Make no mistake and do not allow others to hijack the argument -- this attack has nothing to do with birth control and everything to do with infringing and controlling your God-Given and Constitutionally protected right of religious freedom.

This attack on our religious freedom is only one example of how Obamacare will be used, twisted, contorted and morphed into anything and everything to control your life under the guise of healthcare. If you want to stop Obamacare and attacks on our Constitution we again need to take action as we did when it was being rammed through Congress.

If you remember, it was only through your voices, actions, townhall meetings and trips to D.C. that slowed the passage of Obamacare. We have worked too hard and have too much to lose to quit now!

The Surpeme Court will hear arguments against Obamacare --
"We the People" must again rise up and meet this Unconstitutional monstrsity head on!

Join Tea Party groups from across America on Saturday March 24th for the Tea Party Patriots Road to Repeal in D.C. as the Supreme Court starts hearing the arguments against the Constitutionality of Obamacare.

Cleveland Tea Party Patriot Members Running for ORP State Central Committee

Because of the usual political chicanery of ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine ( #1 Fake Tea Party Candidate in Ohio) and with some candidates incorrectly claiming to be "Tea Party" candidates, we want to inform you the CTPP does not and will not endorse candidates.

Confusing the issue even more this year is a list of "supposed" Tea Party candidates or candidates that should be supported by the Tea Party groups in Ohio that has been put out by a conservative group without any input from the local Tea Party groups.

This fabricated & self-serving list created by Jim Woods of McFan, and promoted by Tom Zawistowski of the Portage Tea Party, is nothing more than an individuals intellectually dishonest attempt to mislead Tea Party supporters into supporting non-Tea Party thinking candidates and to further Wood's chances of being elected to the SCC by snuggling up and looking for help from Team Kasich.  And Zawistowski's desire to gain contracts for his robo-call sham.

And in thinking they will get a "seat at the table" for helping Kasich, the OLC is also supportive of this questionable list - this is a huge mistake. Once gaining control - Kasich will kick them to the curb like yesterdays garbage.

While some are out there picking candidates based on what is good for either the DeWine Team or the Kasich Team, we will choose to be on the "We the People of good Government" Team. Going from one master to another is never a good thing

There are good Tea Party members across the state and in this region running in the ORP State Central Committee races. We encourage you to contact the local Tea Party in your area to verify any assertions of a candidate claiming to be a "Tea Party" candidate.

Though not an endorsement, we are proud to inform you several CTPP members and supporters are running for ORP State Central Committee --

SD # 21 (Male) - Joe Miller / http://www.joe4statecentral.com/
SD # 23 (Male) - Dave Morris / http://www.davidmorris.us/
SD # 25 (Male) - Ron Lisy / http://www.ronlisy.com/

Ron Lisy was endorsed by Buckeye Firearms.

We applaud these individuals for stepping up and taking on the ORP machine. The above list is not inclusive of all the Tea Party "supporting" candidates running for these seats. There are many good candidates and equally as many bad candidates trying to deceive you. Again, we urge you to contact your local Tea Party to verify any claims of so-called or self-anointed Tea Party candidates.

We cannot stress the importance of the elections for these seats enough. If you are tired having the "Party" anoint candidates for you, if you are sick of the continued political patronage of the ORP being put before good candidates and good legislation - this is where you can help stop it.

Ohio's #1 Fake Tea Party Candidate - Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine

With Super Tuesday and voting being tomorrow we wanted to highlight some of the candidates running in these all important Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee (SCC) races. This year there is a big fight for control of the Ohio Republican Party and the future of the party will be set in these races.

Members of the ORP State Central Committee set the policy & platform for the Party. Also included in their duties is the endorsing of candidates and selecting the state party chairman. Each Senate District has 1 male and 1 female SCC member.  (For a list of CTPP members running for ORP State Central Committee, click here.)

The ORP State Central Committee races will allow us to restore some integrity which has been long lacking under the former ORP Chairman Bob Bennett and completely absent under the leadership of current ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine.

As always around election time, even though some like to think the Tea Party is dead, we see candidates falsely claiming to be Tea Party candidates.

The biggest fraud and #1 fake Tea Party candidate for 2012 is none other than Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine himself!

Willing to do everything but sell his own mother to stay in control of the ORP, Chairman Kevin DeWine has resorted to highly unethical behavior to minimize competition for incumbent supporters of his on the ORP State Central Committee.  Chairman DeWine has also spent untold amounts of money to enable his supporters to also inaccurately claim they are Tea Party candidates through mailers and literature drops.

While Chairman DeWine is allowed to spend party money to support endorsed candidates, according to the FEC it shows he is surely not protecting the party money in a fiscally responsible way, in a transparent way and possibly not even in a legal way.  And we can throw in a little cronyism with individuals tied to former Statehouse scandals.

And of course we cannot forget how, through Chairman DeWines ally in the OH Senate, Senator Shannon Jones, introduced the train wreck bill from the start - SB5 / Issue 2 -  with the sole intent on giving the unions a victory in Ohio all in the name of Kevin DeWine keeping his job.

But should this type of behavior be surprising from Chairman DeWine's failed leadership and phony claims of being a Tea Party candidate - absolutely not, it is no different than he acted during the 2010 elections.

Leading up to the 2010 elections, Chairman DeWine arrogantly took all the credit for winning in Ohio and disregarded any Tea Party efforts in the 2010 successes as minimal at best. In fact, Chairman DeWine was anything but a "Tea Party" supporter with his threats and lied filled smears on candidates supported by the Tea Partys in Ohio.

To highlight just a few of the ways ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine embraced the Tea Party he claims to love would be by refusing to acknowledge Tea Party groups requests that an endorsement meeting for candidates not be held on 9/11 out of respect for this most sacred day in our country's history.

And of course we cannot forget the shameful episode of partisan musical chairs in the GOP primaries for statewide races during the 2010 election in which Chairman DeWine was too weak of a chairman to keep his RINO cousin, former US Senator Mike DeWine, in running for Ohio Attorney General.  Angering the Tea Party movement he claims to be a part of, how did Chairman Kevin DeWine react to this outrage? Well.... he called the police on Tea Party groups!  And in another another one of his episodes, Kevin DeWhine described Tea Party members as "liars and noisy distractions".

So using the same description we have for his partisan pal Secretary of State John Husted when he falsely claimed to be a "Tea Party" candidate, we have the same to say about ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine's claims to be a "Tea Party" candidate...  "the closest Kevin DeWine would ever come to being with the Tea Party is that he would have been Captain of the British ship in the Boston Harbor."

For too long, under former ORP Chairman Bob Bennett's tenure and under current ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine, the GOP in this state has dictated to the conservatives of this state what it will do and who will be the GOP candidates. It is time to send ORP Chairman and the ORP State Central Committee a message that it is "We the People" that will dictate to them.

No longer should the personal agendas, partisan vindictiveness, leadership failures and questionable behavior of Chairman Kevin DeWine be allowed to rule the Ohio Republican Party.

Super Tuesday run-up: the GOP candidates

Super Tuesday is just a few days away away. If you are still undecided, or if you want some reference points to either persuade or dissuade a friend, colleague, or relative, I've collected a few background pieces on the four GOP presidential candidates. Candidates are presented in alphabetical order, with links and very brief extracts.

Newt Gingrich @ http://www.newt.org/solutions/

Steve McCann at The American Thinker on Romney, “Newt and the Next-in-Line Problem": “It is clear that in the final analysis, the nomination will come down to Mitt Romney and the anti-establishment candidate; within the present field, the person best suited for the latter role is Newt Gingrich.”

Smart Girl Politics on “Who Is The Real Newt Gingrich?” with a lengthy and critical report on his past actions (this one from 2010): “It seems what he says and what he does are two completely different things.”

Byron York on Gingrich’s ethics violations at The Washington Times: “The bottom line: Gingrich acted properly and violated no laws. There was no tax fraud scheme. Of course, by that time, Gingrich was out of office, widely presumed to be guilty of something, and his career in politics was (seemingly) over.”

Bill Markin at The American Thinker on Newt as a bull in a china shop: “Yes, he's far from perfect, but history is full of flawed characters who have risen to the occasion and done great things. At this point in our history, he may not only be our best hope, but our only hope.”

Ron Paul @ http://www.ronpaul2012.com/ (drop down “Issues” tab)

Jason McNew on “The Case for Ron Paul”: “Ron Paul believes, as the Founders did, that individuals can do a much better job governing their own selves, and should not be ruled over by government.”

Andrew MacCarthy on Paul’s view of The Taliban: “Paul’s claim that the Taliban is just opposed to foreign interference in Afghanistan is patently absurd.”

Spengler (a/k/a David P. Goldman) at PJ Media: Rep. Ron Paul’sdefense of Iran’s nuclear weapons program should surprise no one.”

Mitt Romney @ http://www.electmitt2012.org/about.aspx

NRO’s Andrew McCarthy: “Of course he now says he’d fight torepeal Obamacare, but is Romney really the best candidate to be making that fight? How convincing will he be in decrying wealth redistribution, runaway government spending, and freedom-killing government mandates while he continues championing an overbearing state program that stands as a monument to all those things?”

William Tucker at The American Spectator on “Romney Can Be The Next Reagan”: “I'm hoping Republicans will soon wake up, stop fighting among themselves, and realize that Mitt Romney has the best chance of becoming the nation's next Ronald Reagan.”

Jonah Goldberg on “The Case for Romney” at National Review Online: “Conservatives are extremely reluctant to settle or compromise simply on the say-so of the establishment. For good reasons and bad, Romney seems like a compromise.”

Rick Santorum @ http://www.ricksantorum.com/issues

Michelle Malkin at her website (endorsing Santorum): “Character and honor matter. Santorum has it.”

James Delingpole at The Telegraph: “Rick Santorum is a big government conservative.”

Chuck Norris on Townhall: “Though I commend Santorum for some of his stands since leaving Congress -- for example, his opposing the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the stimulus, the Fannie-Freddie bailout and the auto bailout -- I have a slew of problems with what he did while serving in the U.S. Senate from 1995-2007.”

Stand Up for Chardon! Stop The Westboro Church!

The Westboro Wacko's are at it again!  With the community of Chardon being rocked by the senseless killings of 3 and wounding of 2 innocent students, the Westboro Wacko's want to come disrupt the funeral for one of the slain students.

As a community we must come together and not allow the community of Chardon and most importantly the parents, family and friends of these students to again be victimized by having the funeral of a loved one be disrupted by the hate mongering protests of the Westboro Church.

This is not being done as a protest, this is not a Tea Party event and people will not be there to engage protestors from Westboro Church..  This will just be individuals coming together in a peaceful manner to form a human wall shielding funeral attendees from the despicable acts of the Westboro Church.

Below is from the Facebook Page where this is being organized --  (emphasis added)

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Chardon, OH was changed forever. Pure evil walked into Chardon High School and took the lives of three students, injured two and forever changed the lives of thousands.

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, evil is planning to once again ent...er the Chardon community. This time in the form of a "religious" organization.

The Westboro Baptist Church, located in Topeka, KS, in my opinion, is a hate group. Nothing more, nothing less. The sole purpose of this group is to spread their hate of homosexuality through revolting pickets. They are notorious for picketing military funerals as well.

This group believes that God is punishing America because of our acceptance of homosexuality. They firmly believe that 9/11, Katrina and the Gulf Oil spill are all acts of God. Every time an American soldier is killed, this group rejoices.

Many of you have asked, "What are they planning to do?" Based on previous pickets, some of there more famous signs include, "God Hates Fags", "Thank God for 9/11", "God: USA's Terrorist", "Thank God for IED's" and many others.

I am a firm believer in not saying something, and having it become untrue later. What I can tell you is the facts. The facts are this:

1: The Westboro Baptist Church is celebrating the deaths of Daniel Parmertor, Russell King, Jr. and Demetrius Hewlin. (http://blogs.sparenot.com/)
2: The Westboro Baptist Church has stated they will picket the funeral of the three children taken in the Chardon shooting. Starting with Daniel Parmertor (http://twitter.com/#!/margiejphelps)
3: This group take great joy in every death of an American soldier that is killed. (
http://www.godhatesfags.com/)
4: I have been told by multiple people that they have been spotted in the Chardon area. (Hearsay)
5: If they do arrive, they will use horrible and brutal tactics to have their message spread.
6: This group is lead by people that are EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT. They know the law and know how to use the law.
Let me make one thing very clear. According the the Bill of Rights and a previous Supreme Court decision, the Westboro Baptist Church has every right to picket this funeral. It does not matter if you agree with their message or not. They are protected by the first amendment to the United States Constitution regarding freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.

Guess what? So are we.

The past few days has shown the true nature of the Chardon community and its surrounding communities. This tragedy has shown that we are a community that takes pride in looking out for its own. The Parmertor family is no exception. I promise that I will do everything I can to look after the Parmertor family during this horrible time. I am proud to see the countless people who agree with me.

WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO:Protect the Parmertor family from this horrible and disgusting display of hate.

HOW WE'RE GOING TO DO IT:

1. PEACEFULLY. This is NOT a protest. This is an assembly. We are not here to show our dislike for the Westboro Baptist Church. We are not here to assault the Westboro Baptist Church. We are not here to voice our opinions on members of the Westboro Baptist Church. We are here to do everything we legally can to help the Parmertor family grieve properly, BURY THEIR SON and not have a horrible day made even worse by a group of extremists.

2. LEGALLY. I can guarantee you that some form of law enforcement will be at this funeral. You will be playing into the Westboro Baptist Church's desires if you assault any member of this organization. A lawsuit is their wet dream.

3. In a perfect world, here is how I imagine Saturday going. The Westboro Baptist Church never show's up. If that happens, our goal is complete. The Parmertor family never had to be subjected to this tasteless display. However, if they do appear, I want us to surround the front of Saint Mary's Church. Click Here for Map  We link arms, and DO NOT LET THEM PASS. We are silent the whole time. The venom spewing out of their mouths has no effect on use. We stand united as a strong unit with one goal. Keep these people as far away from the Parmertor family as possible.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:1. Rain. Bring an umbrella.
2. Expect to be called a homosexual slur over 1,000 times.
3. Spit. Lots of it.
4. Shoving and other physical contact from their part.
5. A strong police presence.
6. Media. (Don't be an asshole)
7. People inciting us to use physical violence. (Stay focused)
8. Tears. Lots of them.
9. The Parmertor family being honored as best as possible. Count on that.

According to Twitter, they are planning to arrive at 9am. Assume that means 8am. See you there at 7am. Wear black. Its a funeral after all. Also, try to find other parking than in the church parking lot. Let's try to leave these spots to family and friends of Danny. And above all else, remember why we're there. Not to express our feelings of this senseless group, but to protect the Parmertor family. There's a time and a place for everything. Right now it is time to look after one of our own. God Bless.

Independent Candidate Ed Wade running for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor

In the current race to replace current Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason the only choices residents of Cuyahoga County have are from the same Democrat Party that has run this county into the ground and have let crime - especially within their party ranks -  run rampant.

With the County Sheriff and County Coroner, the two most powerful law enforcement officers of the county, now being appointed -- it is of the utmost importance for the new elected County Prosecutor to have integrity and competence.

With the county corruption trial nearly to an end, we are currently witnessing the end results of what happens when competency, integrity and.or both are lacking in a County Prosecutor.  While justice is supposed to be blind, current County Prosecutor Bill Mason -- was blind to justice.

Ed Wade, an independent candidate for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, is looking for people to assist in gathering signatures to enable him to be on ballot in the General Election this November.

Mr. Wade will be challenging the democrat in November, and most recently ran for Cleveland Municipal Court, during which he was endorsed by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. As an independent candidate, he is working hard to collect the required 4100+ signatures by the end of the month.

Our request is not an endorsement of Mr. Wade, only an endorsement of the political process that will enable the voters of Cuyahoga County to have another choice other than the status quo we have had over the last 20 years.

To make arrangements to have petitions dropped off to you or pick them up, please click here.

Any amount of signatures you can gather will be a great help in giving us a choice this November!

Buckeye Firearms endorses Ron Lisy (SD 25) for GOP State Central Committee

Candidate for GOP State Central Committee in Senate District 25 and Tea Party member / supporter, Ron Lisy, was recently endorsed by Buckeye Firearms Association.

Buckeye Firearms Association has been leading the charge in protecting our 2nd Amendment rights against attacks by the progressives and liberals who continually assault our God-given and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

From Elect Ron Lisy --

The Buckeye Firearms Association recently made endorsements in several races, including Ohio Republican State Central Committeeman for the 25th Senate District.

According to Buckeye Firearms the choice in that race is former Bedford City Councilman Ron Lisy.

Lisy received a "A" Rating from Buckeye Firearms, a rating that is reserved for candidates with a proven track record of support for Second Amendment rights.

Normally granted only to incumbents, the Buckeye Firearms endorsement committee believed Ron Lisy's track record on Second Amendment rights warranted an "A"  rating.

Democrats Raid Social Security Fund and Short Change Your Future

Congress came to terms on a tentative deal last night, that if passed, will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012. The big dilemma (surprise, surprise) was how to pay for it. President Obama and the Democrats wanted to raise taxes, the Republicans wanted to cut spending to offset the additional costs.  But as par for the course under his failed leadership as Speaker of the House, John Boehner buckled and again walked away with nothing.

Consider this: extending the payroll tax cuts will deprive the Social Security account of $100 billion, which means that the already in-the-red Social Security fund will be driven further into debt. There are some really simple things that the President and Congress can do to replenish Social Security while at the same time extending the payroll tax cut, and none of them need to involve raising taxes on anybody!

Here’s a perfect example: Last spring the Government Accountability Office identified more than $100 billion that could be saved by eliminating duplicative programs!! Following the GAO’s recommendations alone would more than replenish Social Security while maintaining the payroll tax cut.

Instead, Congressional leaders came to terms on a deal that will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012, but they have not defined clearly how they will pay for it. Is this simply more political posturing in an election year?

It is only expected that the Democrats from OH like Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Rep. Fudge & Rep. Betty Sutton  would raid your Social Security fund to pay for unfunded mandates. But the most disturbing and the biggest disappointment is that the freshmen GOP members of Congress from Ohio who rode the Tea Party wave into office -- Rep. Jim Renacci, Rep. Bill Johnson, Rep. Bob Gibbs and Rep. Steve Chabot --  would support short changing your future and again fail to do the job they were elected to do.

Call your Senators and Representative today and tell them to STOP committing our future to unfunded liabilities!

Tea Party Patriots (OH) hosting Tele Town Hall for U.S. Senate Primary

Are you tired of the political establishment picking or anointing candidates for you?

 Well now is your chance!

On Monday, February 20, 2012 at 8pm EST, Tea Party Patriot groups from Ohio will be hosting a Tele Town Hall with the candidates in the GOP Primary for the U.S. Senate seat from Ohio.  The winner of this primary will face off against Senator Sherrod Brown - one of the most liberal Senators in D.C.

After each candidate has had an opportunity to participate in the forum we will be conducting a Tea Party Straw Poll. This poll will give insight to what the Tea Party members on the call think about the field of candidates in this all important Senate primary race.

Though a crowded field in this 5 way GOP primary it is refreshing that the conservative voters in Ohio will finally have some quality candidates from which they can choose and not have the GOP choose for them or so-called grassroot groups anointing candidates months before the election.

Welcome Cleveland 9.12 members!

This weekend, The Cleveland 9.12 Project closes down, and Cleveland Tea Party Patriots welcome members who want to continue the efforts to restore America to the country our founders envisioned. Front burner projects in Feb. and March, will be an Action Alert to phone your Columbus legislator when the Ohio Healthcare Compact gets out of committee. A short video explaining the Compact is here. We all need to be familiar with this legislation, as one of the biggest challenges is to educate our family, friends, and neighbors about this initiative.

SAVE THE DATE: February 20 at 8 p.m. Tele-Town Hall with the GOP primary candidates for U.S. Senate. Register here.

I wanted to start off with something about our priorities and directions. Last week, Kurt Schlicter posted his take, Political Moneyball: The Conservative Strategy for Winning the Fight Coming After the Election on the Big Government blog, on the short- and long-term goals of Tea Party Patriots. In particular, he distinguished between the Establishment GOP and conservatives of whatever stripe. Here are some extracts:

The GOP Establishment we keep hearing about is real, and it is also doomed.

That will not change whether the Establishment’s candidate Mitt Romney wins in November or not. After the election, the battle really starts; what is happening now are just skirmishes in a fight for control of the Republican Party. Not the soul of the party – if it had one, it auctioned it off long ago – but the mechanism of the party. The Grand Old Party matters only as a vehicle to carry our banner forward.

To do that, we need to seize control, and we do that by destroying the Establishment starting next November 7th.

Superficially, it might seem that we – the outsiders, the Tea Party, the conservatives, whatever the label – are outgunned by opponents with their hands on the reins of power, money in amounts we can’t hope to match, and pals in the media backing them. But if we understand our strengths, and our opponents’ weaknesses, we can not only compete but eventually prevail.

First, let’s understand our opponent.

The GOP Establishment is an amorphous entity composed of politicians, media types, consultants, writers, lobbyists, party hacks and donors whose first priority is protecting their positions and privileges. Power, and holding onto it, is more important than ideology. That’s where we conservatives differ – we have no formal power or position, so changing the power structure doesn’t scare us. We have nothing to lose; the GOP Establishment has everything to lose.

...

The most important part of the Tea Party/conservatives’ rise since 2009 has not been its remarkably rapid rise to significance and its ability to affect marquee elections in 2010. That’s the short game, and while it matters, what matters more is that it drew huge numbers of conservatives into the political process.

The next generation of GOP leaders will be Tea Party/conservatives. They are the folks starting out now to compete for the kind of local and state party and political offices that lay the foundation for the party’s future. These offices are vital – they are our farm team, a place for future congressional and senate candidates to gain experience and build resumes while implementing Constitutional conservative policies right now that will improve voters’ lives and win them over to our cause.

More on the short game and the long game here.

Welcome again Cleveland 9.12 members!

Tell the U.S. Senate & Harry Reid to Get Some CLASS!

Your Senators need to hear from you now!  The House voted to repeal the CLASS Act portion of ObamaCare.  Now it all goes over to the Senate where it will likely stall out without a push from you and your fellow Patriots!

Please call your Senators to demand they vote to repeal the CLASS Act!  We know the Democrat-led Senate will do nothing that will take away from ObamaCare without a powerful mandate from voters.  Now is the time to push your Senator to demand a vote!

The Community Living Assistance Services and Support program (known as the CLASS Act) is a voluntary program where taxpayers could volunteer to pay premiums for long-term care that would allow the taxpayer to get that cash later in life.   The Obama administration loves it because Americans would be forced to pay into the plan for five years before becoming eligible for any long-term services.

Since premiums for the program would be the same price for everyone healthy people will not voluntarily pay into the program.  The result?  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted last year that the CLASS Act was neither financially feasible nor sustainable.  Still, the White House and Senate still continue to oppose its repeal.  Since we don't have the votes in the Senate to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety, we must count on our leaders to dismantle ObamaCare piece by piece.  Every concerned citizen must force the Senate to bring the CLASS Act repeal to a vote!

It is up to YOU to force your Senators to do the right thing!
