The Coordinated Attack on Your Money

Michael Wilkerson at The Epoch Times (via The Liberty Daily with no paywall) outlines “The Coordinated Attack on Your Money.”  This one paragraph is scary enough:

Do you think your money is safe in your bank account? Multiple laws allow the government to seize your assets through the process of civil forfeiture even if you haven’t been charged, let alone convicted, of a crime. We saw how this worked in Canada during the truckers’ peaceful protests over vaccine mandates when the government simply issued a decree authorizing it. If your bank fails, new laws created following the global financial crisis of 2008–09 allow the bank to turn your savings and other deposits into securities to shore up the bank’s capital. The Internal Revenue Service can tap funds in your bank account if the agency claims you owe taxes, even if the IRS made an error or you’re in a dispute process. And banks have canceled accounts of individuals and entities who pose “reputational risk” by, for example, supporting conservative candidates, speaking out on election integrity, or challenging the prevailing COVID-19 narrative.

Basics of the New World Order

Antonio Graceffo at The Epoch Times reports on some of the basics of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and why this blog continues to follow the developments:

. . . The WEF effectively recommends policies on everything, from creating digital identity systems and restructuring the global political system to the cessation of fossil fuel use, individual car ownership, and the banning of eating meat.

Even though it’s a private organization with no global or political authority, the event was attended by a long and distinguished list of elected officials and political appointees. This year, 51 heads of state, including Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, presidents of Spain, South Korea, Poland, and the Philippines, and China’s Vice-Premier Liu He, in addition to 56 finance ministers, 19 central bank governors, 30 trade ministers, and 35 foreign ministers, were at the forum.

Also present were the heads of global organizations, such as IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

U.S. congressional delegation was also there, including Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), and Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.). On the industry side, there were more than 600 CEOs like JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon, Goldman Sachs’ David Solomon, and Morgan Stanley’s James Gorman. . . .

. . . The WEF is a globalist organization that wants to compromise the sovereignty of nations, rewrite the world order, and dictate how we live, eat, and think. And for some reason, our leaders and media support them.

As powerful as the WEF participants may be, there are more of us little people than there are of them, and this blog is trying to stay on top of developments.  At the end of the day, I like Neil Oliver’s attitude:

They think they’ve got us scared enough to accept the whole damned lot of it.  Here’s the thing: I am not afraid of them.  I don’t even take them seriously.

The Fight of Our Lives: documentary

From the documentary’s website: The Fight of Our Lives –- Defeating the Ideological War Against the West examines the internal and external threats facing the West. The cast of distinguished scholars and experts trace the emergence of anti-Western ideas and movements, and their subsequent penetration into Western academia, politics, and society.

We bought the DVD and watched it at home. About 66 minutes. Among those interviewed are Niall Ferguson, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Victor Davis Hanson, Melanie Phillips, and many more; most readers will recognize quite a few of the commentators.

From Cynthia Cai’s The Epoch Times interview with the producer of the documentary, Gloria Greenfield:

Another scholar who contributed to the film commentary was Bruce Thornton, an American classicist at California State University Fresno and research fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.

“[Thornton’s] understanding of what he refers to in the film as the ‘therapeutic age,’ where feelings are the most important and there’s been a rejection … of taking any responsibility for their actions—I thought that was a very important notion that needed to be addressed in the film,” said Greenfield.

. . .
“Soon after the film came out, I received an email from a professor in Paris, who was so grateful for the film and told me that he was using it in his classrooms,” said Greenfield.

So, do you know any teachers or professors or colleagues who would be interested in organizing a screening or showing it in a local classroom? Check out the website here for lots more information. It's also listed at Amazon
