John Dale Dunn: Tucker Carlson pulled his punches

John Dale Dunn at American Thinker was disgusted with the surveillance footage shown on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.  Mr. Dunn starts off:

I watched what I thought was a serious journalist blow the first night of the supposed big J6 tape release. But I couldn't help noticing that he picked stuff we already knew -- and he was WEAK.

Where was the video of fed provocateurs and violence coordinators?

Capitol Police flash bang and rubber bullet/baton attacks on an unarmed citizen crowd?

The deceptions about the barricades?

The beatings of unarmed women and lots of unarmed men, and one, Roseann Boyland, who died?

What was so hard about demonstrating to the public that the J6 was a Reichstag Fire scam?

Sure, he said the J6 committee lied, but he pulled his punches even on the opening night and from there the week went downhill fast and he purposely got weaker and weaker.  Before the week was done, he opened his show about the International Women's Day award?  He didn't care -- he was just going through the motions.

. . .

The commentary below the article is split, many viewers thought the selected coverage moved the ball down the field a bit.  Others agreed with Mr. Dunn and thought the disappointing coverage was probably due to Deep State influences coming from Fox management.  Click here to read the full column and comments below.

Don Surber: January 6 false flag

We’ve all recognized the January 6 “insurrection” as a false flag event, a set-up by the FBI, Capitol Police, Nancy Pelosi, and other bad actors. So many lies, so much obstruction, that it has been challenging to piece everything together.  Now with the surveillance videos surfacing on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program, claims of a set-up are now verifiable.  Don Surber got most of it figured out:

For two years now, we have heard about an insurrection that everyone knows was bogus. The media deliberately lied in its vain attempt to ruin President Donald John Trump — one in a series of attempts by the real deniers of election results.

Tucker Carlson’s revelation that the Capitol Police incited peaceful protesters has been dismissed by a media obsessed with lying. The key to Pravda — the Soviet version of propaganda — was not to get people to believe it, but to get people to stop following the news. Judging by television ratings in the 21st century, it is working. It indoctrinates Americans to believe they are powerless and that resistance is futile.

So the lies continue.

.. . .

After two years of selective leaks of video by Pelosi’s Pretorian Guard, the nation finally gets to see the whole story — and the Capitolists hate it.

CNN said, “US Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger on Tuesday ripped into Fox News host Tucker Carlson over his commentary about footage from the January 6, 2021, insurrection that he aired Monday night, saying the host cherry-picked from the footage to present offensive and misleading conclusions about the attack.”

The political appointee whined in a memo leaked to CNN, “Last night an opinion program aired commentary that was filled with offensive and misleading conclusions about the January 6 attack.”

Manger also wrote, “The program conveniently cherry-picked from the calmer moments of our 41,000 hours of video. The commentary fails to provide context about the chaos and violence that happened before or during these less tense moments.”

This is the same group that selective leaked out-of-context video for two years. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released all the video.

CNN tossed the word insurrection into its report three times, even though it was a mostly peaceful protest. The word insurrection is important for Washington elitists to establish because it is the key to their plan to bar Donald Trump from the presidency.

. . .

Lots more in Mr. Surber’s Substack column here.  Bottom line: there was no "insurrection."

The Surveillance State in 2023

At Freedom First Network, John and Nisha Whitehead list numerous types of surveillance either already in place or, as they say in baseball, on deck:

In 2023, it looks like we’re going to be in for more of the same in terms of the government’s brand of madness, mayhem, corruption and brutality.  . . .

The bullet point topics include:

  • Digital prisons.
  • Precrime. [remember the film Minority Report?]
  • Mandatory quarantines.
  • Mental health assessments by non-medical personnel.
  • Tracking chips for citizens.
  • Erosions of private property.

There are many more categories of surveillance and other encroachments on our liberties. Click here to see them and the chapter-and-verse for all of them. Our household now has Faraday bags for our cell phones.  It’s just a start.

J6 “hearing” is political theater

The January 6 / J6 Committee “hearing” will be broadcast tomorrow evening (Thurs., June 9) at 8pm on major networks (except Fox). It’s all political theater; Democrats admit itSee also here and here.

Julie Kelly at American Greatness has been tireless in her efforts to report the corruption at DOJ, resulting in J6 prisoners (in reality just patriotic protesters at a peaceful rally) still languishing in DC jails with no due process protections as enumerated in the Constitution. Ms. Kelly previews the committee hearings to be televised:

. . . [W]ill the committee release 14,000 hours of surveillance video to show what happened inside and outside of the Capitol building on January 6? Biden’s Justice Department quickly designated the footage as “highly sensitive government material” that remains under strict protective orders in court proceedings.

Allowing the public to view most of the video is the best way to uncover the “truth” about what happened that day. Why continue to conceal it? If January 6 is comparable to 9/11 and other deadly terror attacks, as Biden and his apparatchiks insist, Cheney and her colleagues should authorize the immediate and unedited release of all publicly-funded security video.

. . .

Where are the internal investigative reports on police misconduct on January 6? Will the committee make public the inquiry into the police killing of Ashli Babbitt? What about the three other fatalities that day? [see, e.g., here]. Democrats continually describe January 6 as a “deadly” insurrection but the only people who died were Trump supporters. Will Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill), who cried at testimony by police officers during last July’s hearing, shed similar tears for four dead Americans whose deaths were wholly or partially a result of excessive force used on January 6?

. . .

Speaking of the FBI, will the committee disclose how many undercover agents and informants were in any way involved with January 6? Reporting by the New York Times last year confirmed at least two informants infiltrated the Proud Boys months before and were among the first to “breach” the perimeter of the grounds.

Court filings reveal that undercover federal agents were stationed around the building before the chaos unfolded; hundreds of elite FBI agents were summoned to Quantico the weekend before January 6 and deployed to downtown D.C. that morning. For what?

A top FBI official refused to say whether FBI agents or informants provoked or engaged in violent behavior that day. As the recent trial of Michael Sussmann again showed, a seamless relationship exists between Democratic Party interests and the nation’s top law enforcement agency—so much so that the FBI has a workplace at Perkins Coie, the Democrats’ powerhouse law firm.

. . .

Ms. Kelly concludes:

It’s highly unlikely, of course, that the committee will address any of those matters during this week’s hearing or in subsequent performances. Meanwhile, congenital liars such as Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) will perpetuate long-debunked narratives including the number of police officers who died as a result of January 6 (the answer is none) or that Trump loyalists brought firearms into the building (they didn’t).

A sham congressional committee working with a corrupt Justice Department boosted by a dishonest national media can only be expected to create political propaganda, not expose the truth; no matter how hard Liz Cheney pretends her vengeance mission is legitimate, most of the American public isn’t buying what she’s selling.

Documentary: 'Capitol Punishment'

J6 photo credit: Jon Cherry/Getty Images via Daily Signal

There’s an interview at The Daily Signal with the two producers of Capitol Punishment. You’ll remember Nick Searcy from the film Gosnell, or in Cast Away as Tom Hanks’s buddy.  I was not familiar with Chris Burgard’s work.  Robert Bluey, executive editor of The Daily Signal, is the interviewer.

The full transcript is disturbing and devastating.  Our household plans to watch the film online over the weekend.  For now, here’s the conclusion of the interview with links to the film itself (online @ $9.99):

Movie ‘Capitol Punishment’ Tells Stories
You Won’t Hear From Jan. 6 Committee

Searcy: Well, to be honest, I must say, at the beginning I was reluctant because I was scared. And so many of the people that we talk to, we interview a number of people in the movie, but there’s an equal number, if not more, that were afraid to speak to us.

Because when you see the way the government is treating these people, it makes you wonder, “Is it worth it?” But as we kind of got going, and Chris and I, “OK, we’re going to make this movie,” and we started talking to people as it went on, it became something that I knew I had to do. We had to finish this. We had to see it through. …

I was appalled at my own government and I really never wanted to think this. I never wanted to think that this is what my government is like, but it is. And we have to expose it. We have to get the truth out there and people need to confront it.

I’ve always said from the beginning, even if you disagree with us, please, would you just please watch this movie and tell me if you think this is the way Americans should be treated, no matter what side they’re on.

Even if they were there protesting a Republican president, do you think this is correct? Do you think this is the way our government should operate? And a lot of the problem that we have is a lot of people on the left, they’re afraid to look at it. They don’t want to see the movie. They call it propaganda. They’re just afraid to look at something that might disturb their worldview.

But I really believe that if more people will confront the truth of what happened about Jan. 6 and see through the government’s lies, we’re all going to be better off for it. We can still save this country, but people have to confront the truth of what is actually happening right in front of their faces.

. . . Right now, there’s a number of places, but the best one right now is: Go to givemelibertynow.org. [to buy] … And you can also find it at capitolpunishmentthemovie.com. [to watch online]

Nick Searcy’s documentary about the Jan. 6 “insurrection”

At PJ Media, Victoria Taft previews Nick Searcy’s film (released last November) Capitol Punishment, a documentary about the January 6 “insurrection” in DC.  You can watch the documentary online – click on the link at the end of the article.  Here’s Ms. Taft’s preview:

Actor Nick Searcy's Movie 'Capitol Punishment'
Is the Best Documentary
About Jan. 6. He'd Know, He Was There.

Nick Searcy was at the huge Trump rally on Jan. 6, 2021, in Washington, D.C., and was so unnerved and shaken by what he saw that day that he made a movie about it. The actor/producer/director’s movie, Capitol Punishment, is the most complete story about that day and its aftermath that anyone has attempted to date. It’s a must-watch, even if you think you know all there is to know about that day.

Searcy is here to say that you don’t. He says it with a knowing wink and a rueful laugh.

The actor, who stars opposite former Mandalorian actress Gina Carano in the upcoming film Terror on the Prairie and who’s appeared in some of the biggest Hollywood movies, including The Shape of Water, Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri, Moneyball, Cast Away, and Fried Green Tomatoes and co-starred in the hit television FX series Justified, knows something about stagecraft.

But he was stunned at the stage-crafted events of Jan. 6.

“Everything that we are being told [about Jan. 6] is a lie and Americans are being persecuted to support that lie,” says Searcy who features national security experts in the film who attest that the assault on the Capitol for political ends “was years in the making.”

Searcy’s idea for the movie with filmmaker and director Chris Burgard began when the two men attended the Jan. 6 rally because they “believed the election had been stolen” stolen from Donald Trump. Searcy told me on my Adult in the Room Podcast that they figured any story they told would be about the typical anti-Trump media malpractice. But, he told me, that idea went out the window when they witnessed agents provocateur pretending to be Trump supporters.

After the rally, Searcy and Burgard began to see footage of police admitting rally-goers and protesters into the Capitol Building, video of Antifa provocateurs changing clothes between black bloc and MAGA clothes, and video of a notorious Leftist militant who trains activists in violent tactics and who worked with government workers to take over D.C. buildings beginning on Election Day. In the documentary, Searcy shows an organizing Zoom call in which professional protest provocateur, Lisa Fithian, urges her co-conspirators during a Zoom call to shut down the Capitol. She told them, “we are going to be in crisis but we want it to be one that we’re creating. Whoever’s got the guns can win. Let’s take over the buildings.” Her tactics look an awful lot like what happened on Jan. 6.

Searcy is unsparing in his treatment of these questionable activities leading up to and on Jan. 6, 2021, and the prosecutions of people who were either invited into the Capitol or who stepped over an imaginary line where a fence delineating a no-go zone had been taken down by early provocateurs such as Ray Epps. You’ll hear of the FBI raids at their homes, the handcuffing of their children, and the inside story of the life of Ashli Babbitt from her husband, Aaron.

He is outraged about the Trump supporter’s shooting inside the Capitol. He wants answers to his questions about why Lt. Michael Byrd “just shot her” without warning. “If he was going to stop people from coming in,” he asked me, “then why didn’t he train his gun on the people who were breaking windows right in front of him? There was no evidence that she had a weapon, there was no reason to think she was a threat. … Those windows had been broken out and he could have said something at that point [as a warning] ‘if you come through that window I’ll shoot.'”

And who was in front of him breaking the windows? John Sullivan, another Antifa/BLM provocateur who stood next to Babbitt, urging her and others to go through the broken windows and into another part of the Capitol. He recorded and live-streamed her killing.

Related: Democrats Want Jan. 6 to Be a Holy Day for Their Dark Church
Searcy believes organizers “wanted a bigger massacre.”

“That’s the real cynical view of that killing, is they wanted more people dead,” he said.

Lives lost. Lives ruined. A president’s legacy muddied. And a government arrayed against them. Searcy tells it all.

He says the question isn’t whether you believe that he convincingly lays out the case; it’s how you could believe the FBI, Justice Department, and political actors are incapable of pulling off such a caper. He points to the Russian “collusion” hoax and other incidents in his movie as exemplars of such gaslighting and perfidy by the feds.

Searcy’s film was released in November, and one wonders how such a quality product was conceived and produced in under a year.

The first anniversary of Jan. 6 passed in ignominy, complete with stage-crafted Washington outrage, but don’t forget the real story.

January 6 propaganda

image of scary J6 mob via Substack

Glenn Greenwald’s article (The Histrionics and Melodrama Around 1/6 Are Laughable, but They Serve Several Key Purposes: As Kamala Harris compares 1/6 to 9/11 and Nancy Pelosi introduces the cast of Hamilton to sing about democracy, today’s inanity should not obscure its dangers.”) is extracted at Instapundit:

The number of people killed by pro-Trump supporters at the January 6 Capitol riot is equal to the number of pro-Trump supporters who brandished guns or knives inside the Capitol. That is the same number as the total of Americans who — after a full year of a Democrat-led DOJ conducting what is heralded as “the most expansive federal law enforcement investigation in US history” — have been charged with inciting insurrection, sedition, treason or conspiracy to overthrow the government as a result of that riot one year ago. Coincidentally, it is the same number as Americans who ended up being criminally charged by the Mueller probe of conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election, and the number of wounds — grave or light — which AOC, who finally emerged at night to assure an on-edge nation that she was “okay” while waiting in an office building away from the riot at the rotunda, sustained on that solemn day.

That number is zero. But just as these rather crucial facts do not prevent the dominant wing of the U.S. corporate media and Democratic Party leaders from continuing to insist that Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory was illegitimate due to his collusion with the Kremlin, it also does not prevent January 6 from being widely described in those same circles as an Insurrection, an attempted coup, an event as traumatizing as Pearl Harbor (2,403 dead) or the 9/11 attack (2,977 dead), and as the gravest attack on American democracy since the mid-19th Century Civil War (750,000 dead). The Huffington Post’s White House reporter S.V. Date said that it was wrong to compare 1/6 to 9/11, because the former — the three-hour riot at the Capitol — was “1,000 percent worse.”

Indeed, when it comes to melodrama, histrionics, and exploitation of fear levels from the 1/6 riot, there has never been any apparent limit. And today — the one-year anniversary of that three-hour riot — there is no apparent end in sight. Too many political and media elites are far too vested in this maximalist narrative for them to relinquish it voluntarily.

The orgy of psychodrama today was so much worse and more pathetic than I expected — and I expected it to be extremely bad and pathetic . . . .

Julie Kelly: horrific update on Jan 6 protesters

For months, Julie Kelly at American Greatness has been digging and digging into the arrest and detention without due process of protesters at the Capitol on January 6.  It’s worse than we thought.  Much worse.  Here’s a brief extract from Ms. Kelly's column yesterday:

. . . [Ryan] Nichols’ account is detailed in an appalling new court filing that confirms what American Greatness has reported for months: on January 6, D.C. Metro and Capitol police assaulted nonviolent protesters with explosive devices, rubber bullets, tear gas, and in some cases, their own fists and batons. A tunnel on the lower west side of the Capitol building became a dangerous—and, likely for at least one protester, deadly—battle scene as police viciously attacked American citizens on the “hallowed” grounds of the U.S. Congress.

Nichols, of Texas, has been behind bars since his January 18 arrest; he sits in the D.C. jail specifically used to house January 6 detainees, charged along with Harkrider with multiple offenses including assault of a police officer, civil disorder, and unlawful possession of pepper spray.

So, what on Earth turned two decorated veterans with a history of helping people in crisis into “insurrectionists” who attacked police officers? It was what they saw when they approached the tunnel around 3 p.m. on January 6. “They hear people screaming in pain and crying for help—women and old men are bloodied and injured,” McBride wrote in a motion seeking Nichols’ release. “Training and instincts kick in and they head to the tunnel, wondering if an accident had happened and if other people were even more seriously injured.”

McBride viewed three hours of surveillance video captured by Capitol security camera—the extensive system captured at least 14,000 hours of footage that the Justice Department and Capitol police are desperate to keep away from public view—and described for the first time what happened inside the tunnel where a combination of D.C. and Capitol police, ostensibly, were stationed to prevent protesters from entering the building:

“[Just] after 4:00 pm, Ryan is sprayed multiple times by an officer standing on a ledge in the tunnel,” McBride wrote in a November 1 filing. “He is also separated from a woman who stood next to Ryan at different times at the Western Terrace. She was middle aged and nice. Ryan promised to keep an eye on her. The woman was wearing a red shirt and a MAGA hat. Shortly thereafter, officers begin terrorizing people in and around the tunnel. People are screaming and getting crushed. There is a pile of human beings stacked on top of each other at the tunnel entrance. People are trapped and there is nowhere to go.”

McBride focused on the conduct of one officer in particular, with badge number L359 and wearing a white shirt. The unidentified officer begins “to beat a man for no apparent reason . . . [and] beats the man so badly that the man crawls over to the woman with the MAGA hat.” . . .

Much more here.  One reader comment suggested printing out the column and sending it to your representative in the House to ask what he/she can do.
