Diversity vs competency

Harold Robertson at Palladium Magazine has an essay “Complex Systems Won’t Survive the Competence Crisis” (h/t Andrea Widburg).  He starts off:

At a casual glance, the recent cascades of American disasters might seem unrelated. In a span of fewer than six months in 2017, three U.S. Naval warships experienced three separate collisions resulting in 17 deaths. A year later, powerlines owned by PG&E started a wildfire that killed 85 people. The pipeline carrying almost half of the East Coast’s gasoline shut down due to a ransomware attack. Almost half a million intermodal containers sat on cargo ships unable to dock at Los Angeles ports. A train carrying thousands of tons of hazardous and flammable chemicals derailed near East Palestine, Ohio. Air Traffic Control cleared a FedEx plane to land on a runway occupied by a Southwest plane preparing to take off. Eye drops contaminated with antibiotic-resistant bacteria killed four and blinded fourteen.

While disasters like these are often front-page news, the broader connection between the disasters barely elicits any mention. America must be understood as a system of interwoven systems; the healthcare system sends a bill to a patient using the postal system, and that patient uses the mobile phone system to pay the bill with a credit card issued by the banking system. All these systems must be assumed to work for anyone to make even simple decisions. But the failure of one system has cascading consequences for all of the adjacent systems. As a consequence of escalating rates of failure, America’s complex systems are slowly collapsing.

And here’s his conclusion:

Americans living today are the inheritors of systems that created the highest standard of living in human history. Rather than protecting the competency that made those systems possible, the modern preference for diversity has attenuated meritocratic evaluation at all levels of American society. Given the damage already done to competence and morale combined with the natural exodus of baby boomers with decades worth of tacit knowledge, the biggest challenge of the coming decades might simply be maintaining the systems we have today.

The path of least resistance will be the devolution of complex systems and the reduction in the quality of life that entails. For the typical resident in a second-tier city in Mexico, Brazil, or South Africa, power outages are not uncommon, tap water is probably not safe to drink, and hospital-associated infections are common and often fatal. Absent a step change in the quality of American governance and a renewed culture of excellence, they prefigure the country’s future.

Read the rest here. It’s a long read, and Mr. Robertson is not optimistic, but as Ms. Widburg concluded: “If we recognize and address it, maybe it’s still possible to pull the airplane of state out of its deep dive toward the earth.

The Biden pResidency takes a fall

Yesterday, pResident Joe Biden took a nasty prat fall at the US Air Force Academy graduation ceremony.  The short video is at Treehouse here.  But the clip is also up on the Telegram channel Slavyangrad, a Russian channel (no link; it’s subscribers only).

So the world watches.  Many call Biden’s presidency a case of elder abuse.  True, but it’s also tragic and embarrassing to witness America now as a global laughingstock.  Matthew G. Andersson at American Thinker just published a column, “Why the White House Wants War,” and he thinks Biden’s pResidency is even worse than embarrassing.  Mr. Andersson’s frightening conclusion:

An unsettling aspect of the Biden administration’s foreign policy is that, while it seeks war, it isn’t prepared to fight one (especially with a putative civilian commander qualified for 25th Amendment removal): it invites a confrontation with Russia (and to some extent with China) not to win, but in an unprecedented perversion of U.S. national security interests, to lose: it has declared America, Americanism, and a majority of Americans, as its enemy.  It will use Russia as a tool for its own domestic “transformation” which means the attempted dismantling of U.S. constitutional law. The White House wants war, but an effective internal civil war that results in a reconstructed government, legal system, and political order.  Biden was installed not just as an Obama proxy, but as a signal of weakness. . . .

Radical Green New Deal predictions

Jack Hellner at American Thinker debunks some “global warming” myths:

Here are some of the destructive policies of the radical greenies that are based on predictions, not scientific data:

The destruction of energy-producing companies that produce reasonably priced energy.  (They clearly don't care about the harm to the poor and middle class by high inflation.)

The promotion of the highly flammable pollutant lithium while seeking to control CO2, a non-pollutant clear gas that makes plants grow and allows the world to be fed.

Spending trillions on carbon capture.

Selling worthless carbon credits so people like John Kerry can pretend they care as they fly in their private jets.

Outlawing gas stoves, furnaces, lawnmowers, leaf-blowers, and gas grills.

The destruction of fishing and killing of whales by wind farms.

Call them what they are: communists

John Green at American Thinker considers the various terms used to describe the "fundamentally change America" insurgents, i.e., liberals, progressives, leftists, and Democrats:

None of those labels adequately describes those who are actively working to undermine America's founding principles.  Let's stop denying the threat and call them what they are: communists.

I was a child of the Cold War.  We learned the evils of communism in history and social studies at school.  I never thought we'd be talking about America as a communist country — yet we leave people in power who are moving us in that direction.

Let's examine what communism is.  Communism is the establishment of a communal society, in which the state controls the means of production and the populace works for the welfare of the commune — not the welfare of individuals.

Personal freedom must be sacrificed for the commune.  In the last three years, the government has attempted to take away our property rights, our rights of association, our freedom of speech, and our freedom to manage our own medical decisions — all for the good of the commune.

In communism the state controls production, dictating what will be produced and when it will be produced.  The government determines what crops can be grown and what they will be used for (e.g., food or renewable energy).  In recent years, the demands to nationalize the financial and energy industries have become increasingly loud.

Read the column here.  I am not sure if this country is being moved in that direction, or if we are already past the tipping point.

Training Americans to spy on those who oppose leftism

At American Thinker, Andrea Widburg reports on yet another alarming development:

The DHS is training Americans to spy on those who oppose leftism

. . . A FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] request revealed that it produced training documents teaching ordinary Americans to report on Americans opposed to Biden’s policies.

This sounds too far-fetched to be believable, but it’s true. The Foundation for Freedom Online reviewed documents that America First Legal obtained from the DHS via a Freedom of Information Act request. It showed that the DHS is planning to train ordinary Americans to intervene when they see “radicalization” among their peers.

. . .

It's one thing to urge citizens to be vigilant about packages that could be bombs or to be aware of someone sweating, mumbling prayers to himself, and smelling of rosewater at fairs or other crowded venues. It’s another thing entirely for the Department of Homeland Security to define the Democrat party’s political opponents as incipient terrorists.

This means we no longer live in a free, two-party representative democracy. Instead, we live in a budding socialist, totalitarian state, complete with a secret police that deputizes citizen fanatics to engage in unlawful searches for crimes. Just as the Deep State used social media to circumvent both the First and Fourth Amendments, it’s doing the same with a generation of citizen spies.

The Day After the Election: Phantom votes

Jay Valentine led the team that built the eBay fraud engine and the foundational technology for the TSA No-Fly List.  His team also built the Undeliverable Ballot Database.  His organization, Omega4America.com, has been working to clean voter rolls in swing states.  He published another column at AmericanThinker the other day, and it sounds to me like he’s no longer optimistic:

RINOs, psyops, controlled opposition like Breitbart and Fox and the grifter consultant class are selling the narrative that Trump wins the nomination bigly -- then takes the Electoral College.

Joe Biden is on wobbly knees, at the edge of the actuarial life chart, leaving America with the most ridiculous replacement president.  His own party doesn’t want him to run -- but the party owners are stuck with him. That too favors Trump.

Blissfully count the new Senate majority, the expanding House majority, and the keys to a White House that will finally drain the swamp.

Then, have a coffee, sit down and remember 2022.  That felt great too -- until the day after the election.

To become president, Trump must win a bunch of swing states.  To win each state he needs more ballots in his pile than the other guy.  It’s baked into the data -- which we look at every day -- that Trump is not going to win those swing states.  None of them.

It’s not his fault.  He will probably get more votes, just not more ballots.

Mr Valentine then takes a close look at some of the swing states.  Below is just one, Arizona, from his column:

Arizona (11 [electoral votes]). We have multiple sources of Arizona data. In Arizona, people can vote from hotels, RV Parks, vacant lots (literally).  We have data showing elected officials in Arizona changed voter rolls when mail-in ballots were being mailed out.  Those voters did not get their ballots.  Where did they go?

In 2020, the state was run by Republicans -- RINOs for sure -- but not leftists. Now the leftists run everything.

In the 2022 election, they changed the print settings in Republican districts.  They had thousands of ballots that did not signature match -- yet they accepted them!

So, in 2024, do you think Trump is going to overcome this with rallies?  There are enough fake votes in one county in Arizona to overcome any advantage Trump gets statewide.

At least one Arizona election commission will make sure Trump loses in case the phantoms are not enough.  Scratch Arizona.

Here’s Mr Valentine’s conclusion:

Voter fraud will screw you on election day!

Why?  Political consultants make money on ad placements and retainers -- not by dealing with baked-in fraud. If the RNC spent as much on election fraud remediation in each swing state as it did on flowers and booze, Trump might win some of these states. If the Trump campaign paid attention to the election integrity teams and took seriously the threat of election commission-instigated fraud, it could make a difference.

Unfortunately, the RNC is about raising dough and having elaborate meetings with mediocre minds.  The Trump campaign thinks rallies, flags, and red hats can overcome the Left’s complete control of election apparatus. . . .

Moral collapse in the medical profession

At American Thinker, Stella Paul has described some horrifying reports about what went on in hospitals during the COVID “plandemic.” If you’ve followed this blog, some of this will not be news, but the cumulative instances of malpractice and moral collapse are overwhelming. Here are some extracts:

Hospitals should be places you can trust to provide comfort and healing when you’re most vulnerable. But that trust may have been shattered by brutal COVID protocols that critics claim turned many hospitals into hellscapes of systematic medical murder.

. . .

It’s almost impossible to comprehend the magnitude of this moral collapse. How did doctors and nurses who spent years studying so they could help people all of a sudden turn into ruthless sadists, presiding over enforced deaths? How did hospitals metastasize from places of healing into chambers of horror? According to the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), the answer is quite simple: money. The federal government incentivized this protocol with massive payouts to the hospitals. AAPS writes, “Our formerly trusted medical community of hospitals and hospital-employed medical staff have effectively become “bounty hunters” for your life.”

. . .

If you want to understand the enormity of the government money gusher, here’s AAPS on what the hospital payments included:

* A “free” required PCR test in the Emergency Room or upon admission for every patient, with government-paid fee to hospital.

* Added bonus payment for each positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

* Another bonus for a COVID-19 admission to the hospital.

* A 20 percent “boost” bonus payment from Medicare on the entire hospital bill for use of remdesivir instead of medicines such as Ivermectin.

* Another and larger bonus payment to the hospital if a COVID-19 patient is mechanically ventilated.

* More money to the hospital if cause of death is listed as COVID-19, even if patient did not die directly of COVID-19.

* A COVID-19 diagnosis also provides extra payments to coroners.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans may have died due to these protocols, and we urgently need an investigation into this butchery. Who designed this protocol, which forbade safe drugs like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, and incentivized known toxins like remdesivir? Who enforced it? . . .

And there’s more horrifying information at the link here.

New Book: The Biomedical Security State

Janet Levy at American Thinker previews a new book about biomedical surveillance:

The New Abnormal: The Rise of the Biomedical Security State

The pandemic of 2020 saw the imposition of shocking restrictions. For the first time, healthy people were confined to their homes. Vaccines cleared for emergency use – meaning not rigorously tested – were forced on all citizens. Debate, even by scientists, was censored. Refusal to obey these arbitrary impositions could mean arrest, legal action, or, as Dr. Aaron Kheriaty found out, losing one’s job.

A psychiatry professor in good standing at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), Dr. Kheriaty became persona non grata when he demurred to the mandatory vaccine policy, claiming natural immunity as a Covid-recovered individual. Not caring for scientific debate, the university declared him a “threat to the health and safety of the community,” suspended him without pay, barred him from campus, and eventually fired him.

It did not matter that his psychiatry clerkship was the highest rated clinical course at UCI’s medical school; that he’d been chosen keynote speaker to address incoming medical students; and that when the pandemic broke out, he had risked his life to work long hours at the hospital, often uncompensated, while many colleagues stayed home in safety.

Uncowed, Dr. Kheriaty sued the university. In a more far-reaching action, he authored The New Abnormal: The Rise of the Biomedical Security State, a sober analysis and exposure of the tyranny of pandemic policies and the devastation they wrought.

. . .

Kheriaty goes so far as to assert that the lockdown was driven by an economic agenda disguised as public health protocol. It helped Big Pharma, multinationals, and the global elite who control them achieve the largest transfer of wealth in history by eliminating competition and spelling doom for small business.

The ultimate plan, devised by the global elite, is for a new world order, shifting government authority from sovereign states to powerful NGOs like the World Economic Forum (WEF) . . .

Civilization in the Danger Zone

Darlene Casella's posting links to a documentary this blogger has not seen, but it looks like one that we expect to watch and review here.  Here’s Darlene Casella at American Thinker on Civilization in the Danger Zone:

Gloria Greenfield's potent documentary, Civilization in the Danger Zone, explores Western civilization and what happens when crucial components are targeted for destruction.  The film brings together scholars and guiding lights of conservatism who share razor-sharp insights about the critical interconnectedness of God, family, and nation, which are necessary to maintain Western civilization in the world.

When one's sex or skin color or political outlook is more important than competence, intelligence, or character, a slippery slope of value erosion is created.  This paradigm is a precursor to communism and anarchy, the evil opposites of Western civilization.

For 65 minutes, the individual narrations of 23 celebrated intellectuals flow together.  They tell a compelling story about the targeted destruction of the Western concept of civilized society and behavior.  The dangers to Western civilization are dismaying, yet the speakers bring finesse and charm to their delivery. . . .

Read the full column here. Among the “celebrated intellectuals” whose names you may recognize are Larry P. Arnn, Frank Gaffney, Victor Davis Hanson, Heather Mac Donald, Christopher Rufo, and Carol Swain.

Trump’s interview on Tucker Carlson

For those of you who have long ago turned off the TV, including Fox News, you may still want to know how President Trump’s interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight went.  Andrea Widburg at American Thinker has a column about it, as well as video clips if you are inclined:

On Tuesday night, Tucker Carlson dedicated his entire program to an interview with Donald Trump. Despite six years of non-stop persecution, including two years of dealing with the fallout from a gamed election, and a recent arrest, Trump looked unchanged. He hadn’t aged a bit, and he was every bit as vibrant and on-the-ball as ever. His communication style hadn’t changed either: Discursive and repetitive, but also insightful and showing his intelligence, humanism, and ego. In addition, the interview contained some serious bombshells on everything from the mundane to the existential. . . .

Ms. Widburg has more confidence than do I in future elections, but this blog links to her report on the Trump interview, because it’s otherwise excellent.

Reasonable Democrats and Persuasion

Tired of beating your head against a wall?  Ian MacConnell at American Thinker has some ideas about how to persuade those of your friends who think the Democrat Party of today is the same one they grew up with -- and of course, it's not:

Here is the problem in a nutshell.  Most Democrat voters don't realize that leftist idealogues have hijacked the Democrat party, actively pushing traditional Democrat politicians out.  They don't yet understand that the Democrat party they knew doesn't exist anymore.  Almost all of the major news organizations work together to lie to Democrat voters and feed them misinformation constantly.  Corrupted government entities like the FBI and the DOJ, and the leftists running all social media, have worked together to censor and silence any dissenting voices.  The goal is to create a false reality in the eyes of Democrat voters and shield them from the truth.  This is vital to ensure their continued support on Election Day.

Most Democrat voters I talk to up here are comparatively normal, although deceived and misinformed.  Most of them don't seem to like leftists very much, though.  Many of them can't identify with their own party anymore and feel like displaced persons politically.

. . .

I'm not saying we should waste our time trying to talk to people who wear "pussy hats" and take their toddlers to Drag Queen Story Hour.  Only a psychiatrist can help people like those.  I'm saying that we can, and we should, try to engage positively with reasonable Democrat voters about the current state of the country.

. . .

Remember, we're trying to expose reasonable Democrat voters to truths the lying media never let them see, not win an argument.

. . .

Mr MacConnell presents a number of questions – questions only – that a liberal who always votes “D” might think about.  Mr MacConnell's full column is here

And as I’ve been saying for years to anyone who will listen:  expand your sources of news.  I always stand ready to share a list of news aggregators that reveal instantly to anyone just scanning the headlines that he/she is not getting news.  They are getting propaganda.

Limits to Growth – or We’re All Gonna Die

William R. Forstchen had an excellent piece recently at American Thinker on today’s climate crisis:

Oh my God -- we’re doomed.  The UN’s Panel on Climate Change came out with a frightening report earlier this month that we are sitting on a global time bomb, and according to CNN, “time is running out,” without immediate drastic action.  The UN report states that if global temperatures reach 1.5 C above the pre-industrial temperature norm of 1850-1900, the resulting melting of the polar ice caps, rising oceans, and unprecedented ecological disaster will follow.

I read this a few days back on a dark and stormy night while working on my own tome about disaster, the next book in the One Second After series.  One Second After examines what would happen if we were ever hit by an enemy using an Electro-Magnetic Pulse generated from detonating a nuclear weapon in space.  But ecological disaster, which is all but inevitable according to the highly respected UN report, was far more frightening.  Closing off working on my book, I brewed yet another cup of coffee, sat back and pulled out a well-respected study on this existential threat to all mankind.

I started to thumb through the pages of a work that took a team of international experts years to research and has sold well over 12 million copies since publication.

I turned to the chapter on fossil fuels.  The report states we have only about twenty more years of oil out there, we are already at peak oil, which will then start to go downhill and the wells will run dry no matter how much we scramble to get more.  There will be a final rush to pump one more drop of oil even if at the cost of twenty dollars a gallon, but that in turn will accelerate the depletion into a death spiral.  Natural gas will not save us, as we turn to that source as oil runs out, we’ll deplete that as well.  Again, a death spiral.

Climate is the big one this report.  Despite our feeble efforts to address the radical changes already taking place, the disaster will explode within ten to fifteen years, due in large part to the depletion of farmlands worldwide from the use of toxic chemical fertilizers and pesticides, soil exhaustion, and encroaching urban population.  The results: famine, disease, and mass starvation then triggering political instability in which hundreds of millions will die.

The list went on and on, a list that would render any sane reader numb with despair.  But me?  I could only smile at it all. . .

The punchline:

You see, the book that I was reading, Limits to Growth, was published more than fifty years ago in 1972. . . .

And every predicted doomsday catastrophe has failed to materialize.  Read the rest here; Mr. Forstchen’s column includes specific doomsday scenarios with all those missed “deadlines.”

The Mask of The Green Cult

“The Mask of The Green Cult.”  Sounds like a science fiction movie.  Except that it’s all around us, for real.  Adam Vicari at American Thinker starts his essay:

For decades now, you have heard leftist ear sores bloviate endlessly about "climate change."  The world will end in a decade if we don't take action now! screams AOC.  However, the more skeptical and rational among us tend to question the true motivation of the environmentalist Green cult.

The best example of a real environmentalist was probably conservationist John Muir, the founder of the Sierra Club.  Muir's work helped to establish a number of national parks throughout the country, an act that did not regress the progress of society for the sake of nature, but sought to preserve nature while simultaneously allowing industrial society to progress at a steady rate.  Thus, Muir sought to build something, while the modern environmentalist movement seeks only to destroy everything and anything that gets in the way of its climate crusade.

Just take a look at the Sierra Club's website today, and see what its goals are for 2030.  Within the next seven years, the Sierra Club hopes to eliminate enough coal and gas in the energy sector to make for 80% carbon "pollution"–free electricity by that time, in addition to decreasing oil used in the transportation sector by 18%, ending the sale of gas appliances, and halting the fossil fuel market by banning oil and gas exports and petrochemical expansion at the same time.  This is an ambitious plan...and also a complete load of BS and magical thinking.

Although it may not faze most people at first, notice how they call carbon a "pollutant" and claim they want to reduce it by 80% in electricity production.  Since when is carbon a pollutant?  Carbon is an element necessary to all life on earth. No organism can survive without it.  Indeed, the entire process on which all human life depends, photosynthesis, requires carbon dioxide.  In order for plants to produce oxygen for living beings to breathe, they must first collect carbon dioxide dispelled from the living being breathing the air they are producing.  Numerous studies have indicated that areas with higher carbon concentration are more green and more fertile, not less

So why would the Green cult want to reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere? . . . .

Why indeed?  Mr. Vicari has some good guesses.  Read his column here.

A Case Against Socialism

Posting at Campus Reform, Ilya Buynevich explains why advocates for socialism in America don’t know what they’re talking about:

Walking near Temple University, I noticed a flyer advocating for “socialism in our lifetime.” The message from an outside group reads in full, “Socialist Revolution: Join the fight for socialism in our lifetime.” Having grown up in Soviet-era Ukraine and now a tenured professor at Temple, I feel strongly that most college-age Americans do not understand what they are saying when they advocate for socialism.

Today, many American college students do not understand that they are advocating for a system that goes beyond what even the Soviets promoted. There is a real distinction that students do not appreciate between the romanticized idea of state socialism in Scandinavia and the reality of socialism – what I experienced as a student in the Soviet Union.

Most student activists tout equity and many undergraduates champion socialism as a means to achieve equity – a process to engineer outcomes. Where I grew up, this would mean giving everyone the same grade, so it was never a factor in Soviet higher education.  . . .

John Dale Dunn: Tucker Carlson pulled his punches

John Dale Dunn at American Thinker was disgusted with the surveillance footage shown on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.  Mr. Dunn starts off:

I watched what I thought was a serious journalist blow the first night of the supposed big J6 tape release. But I couldn't help noticing that he picked stuff we already knew -- and he was WEAK.

Where was the video of fed provocateurs and violence coordinators?

Capitol Police flash bang and rubber bullet/baton attacks on an unarmed citizen crowd?

The deceptions about the barricades?

The beatings of unarmed women and lots of unarmed men, and one, Roseann Boyland, who died?

What was so hard about demonstrating to the public that the J6 was a Reichstag Fire scam?

Sure, he said the J6 committee lied, but he pulled his punches even on the opening night and from there the week went downhill fast and he purposely got weaker and weaker.  Before the week was done, he opened his show about the International Women's Day award?  He didn't care -- he was just going through the motions.

. . .

The commentary below the article is split, many viewers thought the selected coverage moved the ball down the field a bit.  Others agreed with Mr. Dunn and thought the disappointing coverage was probably due to Deep State influences coming from Fox management.  Click here to read the full column and comments below.

Lizards vs MAGA

At American Thinker, J B Shurk has encouraging words for conservatives:

In So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish (the fourth book in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy of six books"), Douglas Adams brutalizes "democracy" in a hilarious exchange:

"On its world, the people are people.  The leaders are lizards.  The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."

"Odd," said Arthur.  "I thought you said it was a democracy."

"I did," said Ford.  "It is."

"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"

"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford.  "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they voted in more or less approximates to the government they want."

"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"

"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."

"But," said Arthur, going in for the big one again, "why?"

"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in."

That is America's Uniparty system in a nutshell!  Republican, Democrat, whatever — they're all lizards.  Then someone who doesn't speak lizard comes along — Donald Trump — and the "democracy" loses its collective mind.  The Intelligence Community spies on his campaign.  The FBI insinuates that he's a Russian spy.  The press calls for his removal and incarceration.  Unethical prosecutors and judges go after anyone who might be called his friend.  The Uniparty harasses him with endless investigations.  The Pentagon and agency bureaucrats ignore his lawful orders and spread gossip and lies.  The Department of (in)Justice and left-leaning local tyrants persecute his supporters with spurious criminal charges that ruin lives but, more importantly, blare a warning to all Americans: if you dare to vote for a non-lizard, we will target you as extremists, lock you up as insurrectionists, threaten all you hold dear, and terrorize your lives!  All this calculated Uniparty and Deep State destruction because so many in Washington so despise the idea of making America great again that they choose to imbecilically slander that notion as racist!

When President Trump took the stage at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference and pledged to "totally obliterate the Deep State" if voters re-elected him, he made it crystal-clear that the war between the people and the lizards will be one for the ages.  "In 2016, I declared I am your voice.  Today, I add, I am your warrior.  I am your justice.  And for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution."  If you didn't already know he was wearing his iconic navy suit, white shirt, and red tie, you'd have thought that Johnny Cash's "Man in Black" had just walked in announcing, "There's a man going around taking names / And he decides who to free and who to blame."  He might as well have just admitted to the crowd that he's Batman, looked through the cameras and directly into the watery eyes of the RINOs wobbling in front of their televisions, and roared, "I'm vengeance."  It was a great speech, but all I heard was, "Listen to the words long written down / When the man comes around."  Just like last year, he won the CPAC straw poll overwhelmingly. . . . .

The Global Warming Scam

Hysteria.  The COVID hysteria.  The climate change hysteria.  It’s not about COVID or climate.  It’s about control.  Jack Hellner’s column at American Thinker concludes:

When Trump and others said we should consider the lab-leak theory, the media, bureaucrats, and others sought to silence them by saying that was a disproven conspiracy. They had to shut that down because Dr Fauci, the National Institute of Health and others would be implicated.

We were told that all the government edicts were based on science — but that was a lie.

There was never any scientific data that said masks, Plexiglass, or six-foot social distancing would block the disease. There was no scientific data that supported closing schools and businesses. They downplayed the true science of natural immunity, which as it turns out, is far superior to the “vaccine.” The destruction of America, due to government edicts based on lies, is immeasurable.

People who so willingly lied continuously about COVID, and who can’t define the difference between men and women, would seemingly have no qualms lying about climate change in order to push their radical agenda: to remake, or destroy America. Every solution for them is a bigger and more powerful government, with less freedom and prosperity for the people.

Saying that humans and natural resources cause warming or climate change is the biggest fraud ever. It greatly harms the poor and middle classes, but it makes perpetrators of the theory, like Al Gore, extremely rich.

People should stop pretending that Democrats are the party of science. Science has nothing to do with their policies. All they want is power.

Mr. Hellner’s column is here.

Ohioans at Risk

The train derailment in eastern Ohio and the resulting chemical contamination may be even worse than has been reported.  What follows is from a report published at America Out Loud by a physician posting as DrLee4America:

. . . Pound for pound, or molecule for molecule, Dioxin is more toxic than Botulin toxin, and more toxic than most military “nerve gases” used as weapons of war. Dioxin is a potent carcinogen and major endocrine (hormonal) toxin, and perhaps best known as the most toxic contaminant in the “Agent Orange” defoliant used in the Vietnam War that resulted in the devastating long-term health damage and cancers in our military.

The fact that government leaders are not disclosing Dioxin as a major contaminant from the burning of vinyl chloride in the Ohio train disaster and the dioxin contamination from burning plastic in the Florida fire near Disney World on February 16th is a health catastrophe waiting to happen.

DrLee4America, speaking as a physician who has researched this topic and published the health dangers of Dioxin to women’s health 20 years ago, discusses the dangers to residents in Eastern Ohio and Florida exposed to the toxic plumes containing Dioxin and other toxic chemicals. The plumes containing Dioxin from the burning in OH and FL will spread widely beyond those local areas, causing contamination of soil, water, and air and leading to damage to wildlife and humans that could affect as much as a third of the entire country.

Other dioxin disasters have been forgotten -- Love Canal in Niagara Falls, NY, and the town of Times Beach Missouri — but both resulted in complete closures of both areas for human inhabitation, contrary to the advice federal and state officials are giving residents of East Palestine now.

A bloodless coup d’etat

At American Thinker, J.A. Frascino outlines the coup d’etat that’s unfolding before our very eyes:

Any system, no matter how well devised, upon encountering the realities of terrestrial existence, will fail to function as conceived.  Failings of the system can be approached in two ways:  troubleshoot and strengthen the system to repair its flaws, or change the system.

Not long ago, the left sought to uphold the system and ameliorate its flaws.  It assisted in countering worker abuse, upheld women’s rights, and brought focus on environmental pollution.  Democrat administrations developed Social Security and Medicare programs.  The Democrat party was the voice of the middle class, the minorities, the marginalized, helping them realize the promise of the system.

That is no longer the position of the left.  Driven by its innate tendency to dissidence and immediate gratification, it has grown increasingly intolerant of and impatient with the system.  The system must now change.  . . .

And the article goes on to explain exactly how it’s changing.  We are seeing it now.  Click here for the full scenario.

Phantom ballots: who is cleaning the voter rolls?

Jay Valentine at American Thinker has published a couple of columns expressing his concern:

You would think rational electioneers in the Republican Party would, in 2022, do everything to stop the election jiggering that took place in 2020.  You would be wrong.

And from his column yesterday:

Two years ago, most Americans thought phantom voters were comic book characters.  Nobody had ever seen one.

This week, we reached our 5,000th volunteer request (in 60 days) to help clean voter rolls — and we never asked for a single volunteer.  We are just technology guys.

Americans are fed up; they get it that their elected officials are not going to clean voter rolls.  Perhaps some people did not dig the Big Steal for the Trump election — but after Kari Lake, the Senate in Nevada, and dozens of local races, they are on fire now.

Mr Valentine’s Omega4America website is here. And he has expressed frustration at the lack of attention to election fraud from top politicians.

However, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch mailed subscribers, including this blogger, the following message:

President Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States, delivered the keynote address last night [Jan 19] at our 6th Judicial Watch Annual Roundtable, a private event, which was held at the Trump National Doral in Miami, FL.

President Trump engaged in a historic battle against government corruption and abuse, a battle that continues to this day. We are honored that he addressed and educated our supporters about the ongoing rule of law crisis that so threatens our Republic.

The Roundtable also featured important discussions on the election integrity crisis, the border crisis, the Left/government/Big Tech attack on free speech, the January 6 political prisoners, Biden corruption [emphasis added] and more!

This is good news:  President Trump participated in an event that directly addressed election integrity.  Judicial Watch is one of the few watchdog agencies that regularly files FOIA lawsuits to expose government corruption, and their recent conference tells us that they have their eye on the ball, so to speak.
