American Citizens First Ohio Tea Party Groups say "Well Being of Ohio Citizens Should Come First"

Ohio - July 17, 2014 - Democrat and Republican Governors around the country are refusing to accept the social and financial burden created by this administration's open border philosophy. 

This is why, as Ohio State Coordinators for Tea Party Patriots, we gladly join in support of the over 30 Tea Party and Liberty groups from Ohio, in calling for Governor Kasich to stand strong and resist any attempts by the federal government to relocate the current influx of illegal immigrants, thereby creating a border crisis in Ohio. "Our education and healthcare systems, in all states, are already overburdened, and now taxpayers are being told they are to support the healthcare, education, care and feeding of illegal aliens, because our government refuses to put a stop to the migration, "stated Marianne Gasiecki, Founder of the Mansfield Tea Party and State Co-coordinator for Tea Party Patriots-Ohio. "Now they want to force their failure on the states. Perhaps President Obama should take a lesson from Prime Minister Netanyahu, and put the people of his own country before others."

"The constant claiming of the Democrats and President Obama that they support the middle class, the working poor, etc... rings hollow," said Ralph King, Founder of the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots and fellow State Co-coordinator. "With the Democrats and President Obama's refusal to take action by returning these illegal immigrants to their home countries, it is the same less fortunate American citizens they claim to support, that they will be hurting the most." 

"The failure of this Administration to do their job should not constitute an emergency on our part," continued King. "It is incumbent upon Governor Kasich to put the fiscal well being and social concerns of Ohio citizens first."

Tea Party & Conservative Groups Across Ohio Tell Governor Kasich –

“Stand Strong against Federal Relocation of Illegal Immigrants”

Lake County, Ohio – As the failure to secure our southern border has allowed thousands of illegal aliens to cross into the United States and the federal government is attempting to relocate them in various states, Tea Party & Conservative groups across Ohio are unified in their voices to stop Ohio from being one of the dumping grounds.

“As this crisis continues, we must speak out against the forced relocation of these illegal aliens by the federal government, stated Arzella Melnyk, of The Ohio Grassroots Rally Team. “Together with over 30 Tea Party and Conservative groups from across Ohio, we are asking Governor John Kasich to stand strong and resist any federal relocation attempts of these illegal immigrants within the borders of our state.” (Letter attached as PDF)

With the Administration requesting close to $4 billion to relocate and house these illegal immigrants, driving our country even deeper into debt, there is a growing chorus of American citizens from across the political spectrum who are starting to speak out and wonder “what about us?”

Americans can no longer afford to bear the social or fiscal burden of illegal immigration, caused by the failure of this Administration to protect us from the ill effects of illegal immigration. Governors of several other states are taking a stand against the relocation of these individuals into their state; we want Governor Kasich to take a stand for residents of Ohio.

RE: Illegal Immigrant Relocation / Ohio

Dear Governor Kasich,

This letter concerns the illegal immigration crisis happening on our southern border, in which a massive influx of immigrants is seeking unauthorized entry to the United States. In addition to our outrage over the deliberate role the federal government is taking in this effort that violates our immigration laws, there are serious concerns regarding the government’s attempts to relocate illegal aliens in states across the U.S., including Ohio.

With the federal government actively seeking locations across the country to accommodate this unprecedented overflow of illegal adult immigrants and unaccompanied minors, Ohio should not be allowed to be used as a dumping ground, nor should the residents of Ohio be forced to bear any part of the burden of the ongoing border crisis created by the current Administration in Washington D.C.

Besides the negative fiscal impact it will have on our state, it will create an even further strain on educational, health, safety, and other vital services provided by our state to Ohio residents. Illegal aliens are being admitted into the United States with contagions, and TSA has suspended photo i.d. requirements for illegals boarding commercial aircraft. Some of the illegals are criminals, belong to gangs, and have no legal relative in the United States. Ohioans should not be exposed to the health hazards and security risks posed by such aliens. 

Therefore, we the undersigned Tea Party & Liberty group coordinators from Ohio respectfully request that you exercise all Federal & State Constitutional power and authority afforded to you as Governor of this state, to vigorously resist any federal relocation attempts of these individuals within the borders of our state.

In closing, by standing strong against any federal relocation attempts, it will show by action, that you truly put legal Ohio residents first.

Obama Acknowledges Tea Party was Right

President Issues Another Delay

During the recent Continuing Resolution fiasco, the Democrats and media, along with GOP elitists, joined the chorus hurling insults at Senators Cruz and Lee. Citizens of the Tea Party movement were described as wacko, out of touch, idiots, unintelligent ideologues, frauds and several other colorful terms, regarding their attempt to delay the implementation of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). 

During this debate, President Obama dismissed warnings from his own Administration that the roll out of Obamacare will be a "train wreck". President Obama ignored the calls for a common sense delay of the Affordable Care Act - an effort to prevent millions of Americans who are not exempt, from being negatively impacted by its forced implementation. President Obama, the Democrats, media and Republican elite, instead spent their time labeling citizens of the Tea Party movement as extremists, accusing them of trying to blackmail the country. President Obama even allowed the government to "shut down".

Even in the face of these attacks, the citizens of the Tea Party movement stood their ground, calling for what is best for the American people. "Our requests were simple common sense - as 'all men are created equal', please do not fund and/or force Obamacare on American citizens that were not privileged enough to get the exemptions and waivers received by big labor, big business and Congressional staffers", said Ralph King, Tea Party Patriots State co-coordinator from Ohio.

"In putting their partisan agenda first, and acting like playground bullies, President Obama and the Democrats rebuffed all common sense requests made by the Tea party" said Marianne Gasiecki, fellow Tea Party Patriots State co-coordinator from Ohio. "While it is nice that the President and the Democrats are now acknowledging that the Tea Party was correct, from the beginning they should have been concerned with doing the right thing for the American people instead of stomping their feet like spoiled children, shutting down our national monuments and parks, and creating fear over a supposed government "shutdown".

The concerns recently expressed by the Democrats regarding the systemic failures of the Obamacare website, and President Obama now issuing yet another delay, prove that the initial calls to defund and delay were correct. Even with the affirmation of the Tea Party's stance, the citizens of the Tea Party movement take no solace in being proven right. We would rather have had President Obama and the Democrats initially do what was right for the citizens of this country, instead of putting on a show of petulant party politics that caused the government to slow down.

Taxation Without Representation Alive and Well in the State of Ohio Ohio - June 14, 2013 - Ohio politicians continue to expose their blatant disregard for the principles on which they ran, and the constituents who elected them. Their most recent display of weakness and lack of moral fortitude is in full display with the series of events surrounding the Amnesty Bill S.744. "No one is opposed to legal immigration.  My grandparents were legal immigrants from Sicily and risked everything to assimilate and become Americans, providing a future for their children that would be inconceivable in Sicily," stated Marianne Gasiecki, Founder of the Mansfield Tea Party and State Co-coordinator.  "What we're opposed to is a complete disregard for the laws of this land and taxpaying citizens." If this bill passes, about 12 million current illegal immigrants would become permanent legal residents within ten years.  A recent poll commissioned by the Federation for American Immigration Reform reflected that 68% of Ohioans oppose granting legal status to illegal aliens before a border security plan is fully implemented.  74% of Ohioans oppose the discretionary authority given to DHS to legalize aliens with criminal records or gang affiliations.  Apparently, Senator Portman (R-Ohio) and Speaker Boehner (R-Ohio) believe it's no longer their job to represent the Ohioans who elected them.   "Earlier this week I asked Mr. Hoggatt, Senator Portman's aide, if the Senator supported S.744.  His answer was "no", but two days later, again betraying his conservative base, Senator Portman voted for Cloture and pushed the bill forward in the Senate.  Then we find out that Speaker Boehner, to no real surprise, has his own ideas on how to push forward with an amnesty granting bill," said Ralph King, fellow Ohio State Co-ordinator for Tea Party Patriots and Founder of the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots.   According to a recent article from The Blaze there is a revolt in the Boehner led House of Representatives, with 70 members petitioning for a special Republican conference meeting on the bill.     Also, boarder security is not up for debate, nor does it appear to be a concern.  The Senate already rejected a proposal by Iowa Republican Charles Grassley, that would have prohibited a first step toward granting them legal status until the U.S. Department of Homeland Security "has maintained effective control" of the entire U.S.-Mexico border - 1,969 miles - for a period of six months.  Instead, the Senate has shown unity in protecting what they see as a pillar of S.744: a provision to quickly make undocumented immigrants legal residents, therefore creating a whole new, permanent progressive voting block.   It's time for us to demand that our elected officials do the job their paid to do, and represent the tax paying citizens of Ohio.

A Salute to Ohio Law Enforcement:

FBI deserves big Thumbs Up

Cleveland, Ohio - The Federal Bureau of Investigation earned a huge “job well done” from all Ohioans for the precise and efficient strike against a domestic terrorists group who allegedly attempted to destroy a bridge near Cleveland.

Ohio tea partiers are encouraging all citizens to praise the FBI and local law enforcement for the outstanding job they do every day. Tea Party Patriot State Co-Coordinator Ralph King said, “we have just witnessed excellence in achievement from the finest law enforcement people in the world.”

Many of us in the Cleveland area were shocked to discover on April 30th, 2012, on a typical Monday evening, the FBI arrested five men involved in a conspiracy to blow up a bridge that may have injured and killed people and would have had a destructive impact on travel and interstate commerce and therefore our struggling economy. "It's instances of violence such as this that continue to set tea party members and supporters apart as peaceful, respectful and reasonable citizens protesting an excessive and over reaching government," said Marianne Gasiecki, State Co-Coodinator for the Tea Party Patriots.

All too often, honorable institutions like the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been wrongly criticized, often for political purposes. It is time for an honest look at a great law enforcement body with important accomplishments during some of the most trying times of this great nation. For more than a hundred years the FBI has served tirelessly to fill the gaps between local laws, dealing mostly with criminal activity across State lines.

The FBI and local law enforcement personnel were on the job while the rest of us went about our business without a clue as to what the conspirators were planning. Because of the tireless efforts of honorable men and women serving in law enforcement the attackers were under surveillance from the beginning, and the public was never in danger. The FBI has once more demonstrated its expertise in carrying out the FBI mission to protect our communities, businesses and our lives. Thank you FBI and God Bless you.

Tea Party Patriots Criticize Minimal Budget Cuts

(CLEVELAND) - Today, Tea Party Patriots, the nation's largest tea party organization, criticized the minimal cuts made in a last-minute budget deal between both Houses of Congress and President Obama.

"In the seven days preceding last night's deal, our nation's debt increased by $54.1 billion.  And now our 'leaders' are touting as 'historic' the $38.5 billion in spending cuts for the rest of fiscal year 2011,"  said Mark Meckler, Co-Founder and National Coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots.  "Leadership requires bold, visionary action in times of crisis.  Are we getting bold, visionary leadership in Washington, DC?  We think the numbers speak for themselves."

"Democrats in the Senate and White House have obstructed any real move towards pulling our country back from the fiscal abyss," said Jenny Beth Martin, also a Co-Founder and National Coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots.  "While our nation increased its deficit by $223,000,000,000 (Two Hundred and Twenty-Three Billion Dollars) in February, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid characterized $61,000,000,000 in proposed Republican spending cuts as 'extreme and draconian.'"

Americans Demand Promised

Transparency, Adherence to 'Pledge to America'

Cleveland - Today, the Tea Party Patriots launched a petition (http://notaxcompromise.com/) to supporters across the country denouncing the tax cut compromise forged in secret by the Obama Administration and Republican Leadership in Congress. The plan was negotiated without the consultation of newly-elected Members of Congress or the American people and violates several components of the Republican's "Pledge to America."

"Our members are outraged as our representatives continue to ignore the message we sent on Election Day," said Ralph King of Cleveland Tea Party Patriots. "We are watching how they vote, and they will be held accountable."

"This 'backroom deal' ignores those who voted for principled leadership on Election Day," said Mark Meckler, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "Americans demand transparency in the legislative process and policies that reflect fiscal responsibility-not secret negotiations and weak compromise."

"Republicans in Congress only have the leverage to negotiate for tax deals because of the support Americans gave them and principled candidates across the country," said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "It is an insult to those who voted them into power to procrastinate on their pledge to honor conservative principles."

Following are excerpts of the petition:

• Do not let Congress compromise with President Obama. "The Compromise" is against everything the House Republican Leadership agreed to in the "Pledge to America." This type of behind closed door politics is not what "We the People" voted for in November.
• "The Deal" was forged in secret, without consultation with the scores of new representatives and senators who campaigned on a much different agenda.
• "The Deal" like Obamacare, isn't reduced to writing even now. Like Obamacare, we are being told we will have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.
• "The Deal" revives the death tax, an immoral "vampire tax" that sucks the blood from the dead, ruins family businesses and double taxes savings that were accumulated over a lifetime.
• "The Deal" spends billions and billions of dollars that the country does not have in order to prevent a tax hike that the country voted against...the GOP bribed the president to follow the will of the people. 
• There are at least five provisions of the Pledge that are violated by "The Deal."

AMNESTY FOR MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS IN U.S.

In spite of voter opposition to granting amnesty for illegal aliens, president Obama and Democratic Congressional leaders [Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)] are now scheming to pass a massive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens in the United States.

Just last week a Subcommittee on Immigration held amnesty hearings to gain momentum for legislation which aims to legalize over 12 million illegal aliens. The hearing was packed with pro-amnesty advocates to ensure the testimony would be favorable. Sadly, the issue of legalizing illegal worker to compete for work with the already 13 million unemployed Americans was never mentioned by Senator Schumer (D-NY), who chaired the Subcommittee and is a strong amnesty advocate.

Proponents of amnesty, which includes Ohio’s junior Senator Sherrod Brown, and a number of Ohio members of the U.S. House, euphemistically and fraudulently refer to their amnesty scheme as "comprehensive immigration reform." By referring to their amnesty legislation as "comprehensive immigration reform" they hope to fool the public into believing it’s not about granting amnesty for millions of illegal alien criminals.

What can you can do to stop Amnesty?
