Julie Kelly has an inspiring column at American Greatness,
all about why we should ignore all these government fiats and plan to spend
Thanksgiving with our loved ones. She
brings a personal perspective to the subject – just what is needed. A very short excerpt:
Everyone has suffered but no one
has been punished for unleashing this slow-moving catastrophe. To the contrary,
the cabal of culpable government leaders are digging in their boot heels to
crush the collective spirit of the country. At a time when people need to be
with their friends and families the most, a time when the soul-soothing routine
of the holidays has never been more necessary, the government’s soulless
apparatchiks seek to strip away our last vestiges of joy.
These people are not healthy. They
don’t care about you or your child or your elderly parent. They care only about
power and control. They should be mocked then ignored. Sadly, however, millions
of brainwashed Americans will dutifully comply. Cherished moments will be
forsaken without any guarantee they’ll return next holiday season.
Her conclusion:
Avoiding death is not living.
Sacrificing time with the people you love the most isn’t noble; it’s cruel both
to them and you. And none of it is necessary.
Her column is here.
Highly recommended.
