Not your father’s Democrat party

This column by the inimitable Victor Davis Hanson was published a few days ago at American Greatness, and it’s a cautionary analysis:

For all Joe Biden’s talk about “semi-fascist” and “un-American,” “ultra-MAGA” Republicans, it is the Democratic Party that has far more radically changed. It is descended into a woke, neo-socialist, radically green party. And it is committed, as Barack Obama once promised, to fundamentally transforming America. How it proceeds with that agenda is now as entirely predictable as it is creepy.

And Hanson expands on the agenda and methods by category, specifically:

• Election Warping
• Projection
• Suppression
• Changing the Rules
• Asymmetries

Hanson’s conclusion:

Conservatives should be aware that they are not dealing with the party of JFK and LBJ. The Democratic Party has nothing in common with the agendas of a slick Bill Clinton and is well beyond the “fundamental transformations” of arch-narcissist Barack Obama. 

We are faced with a strictly disciplined, no-nonsense revolutionary party, well known from history that aims to change the nation into something unrecognizable by most Americans. And it feels that it has now created the means to do it.

January 6 two years on

Today is the two year anniversary of the January 6 protest, continually mis-reported as an “insurrection”--  in DC.  Julie Kelly has been following the plight of the victims of the “insurrection”, and today she posted:

A few weeks before Christmas, federal authorities arrested a Washington state couple for their participation in the Capitol protest on January 6, 2021.

So, what exactly did these alleged “domestic terrorists” do? They entered the Capitol through open doors as police officers stood by. Carrying no weapons, the couple took photos inside the Rotunda and wandered through some hallways; surveillance video shows Holly Christensen talking to a Capitol police officer. At another point, Scott Christensen chatted with a D.C. Metro police officer, a conversation captured on a body-worn camera. Police led the pair toward an exit door about 45 minutes later without arresting them.

For that uneventful jaunt through a public building that posed a threat to no one, the Christensens will now be destroyed by the Department of Justice, the federal court system, and the news media. Although both were charged with nonviolent misdemeanors—the same four offenses that represent the overwhelming majority of charges—journalists dishonestly portrayed the couple as traitors to their country. “Washington state couple to face Jan. 6 insurrection charges,” an Associated Press headline blared on December 12.

It’s a feat of political sorcery—fueled by lies, cover-ups, and careerism, not entirely unlike the first war on terror—to transform an unruly, four-hour protest into an act of domestic terror. American families such as the Christensens are merely collateral damage along the way.

Vaccine update: Pentagon Now Corrupting Its Own Medical Database

It is an undeniable fact that Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” have triggered a massive uptick in illnesses and injuries throughout America’s armed forces, and all the Pentagon can do is lie about it.

Rather than show concern for the brave men and women who are risking their lives in our country’s military, the Pentagon is now fudging the numbers in earlier iterations of its Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) health surveillance system to make the 2021 data appear less drastic.

As we reported, the DMED shows astounding increases in everything from myocarditis to brain injuries to cancer among servicemen who got jabbed for the Fauci Flu.

The numbers are so shocking that there is simply no way to spin them, which is why the Pentagon decided to add fake injuries and illnesses to previous years’ data.

“There is undoubtedly a public health and national security crisis in the military, and the Pentagon’s reaction only seems to be concerned with exonerating the vaccine, not fixing its own alleged problem,” reported The Blaze.

“It’s now certain that the military’s health surveillance system – DMED – showed a massive increase in sickness and injury diagnoses in 2021 over previous years, particularly in the neurological, cardiovascular, oncological, and reproductive health categories.”

An end-run around the corrupt media

And now for something a little more upbeat.  Kira Davis has the encouraging words at RedState:

The progressive legacy media never did take too kindly to the rise of conservative media, understandably but it rarely felt dangerous. More like…temper tantrums.

But what has been happening in progressive circles since Trump was elected is increasingly disturbing. Trump rocked their world. He was a complete outsider who wasn’t even supposed to be a serious player in the game, let alone the winner. It was too dangerous to have an outsider in the White House who wouldn’t respect the hierarchy and rules of Capitol Hill life. He had to go, and they spent four years doing everything in their power to make sure he would.

You’d think they’d be happy that they won. They got their guy. Even though Joe Biden is the strangest and saddest President I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime, the point remains…he’s their guy. Why don’t they seem happy?

Instead the progressive left has ramped up censorship and raised the flame underneath political discourse to near unbearable levels. Their figureheads- people like Joy Reid and AOC – go on tv and accuse conservative voters of being murderers, white supremacists, baby Hitlers. They have no ability to view their ideological opponents as humans anymore. Even the reasonable conservative pundits that they used to like are still the victims of their hate speech, because these days it isn’t about what you said and what your words and actions can prove about you. It’s about nothing more than the vote you cast.

The progressive left has decided that anyone who isn’t them is the enemy, and therefore the enemy must be eliminated by any means necessary.

Their preferred means is silence. The goal of the progressive left is to make sure we can’t participate in the public conversation, our ideas can’t be heard, our opinions can’t be considered. They truly believe that if they make the mouthpieces of conservatism go away that they’ll magically “solve” the problem of conservatives.

After all, you idiots are just little robots with no thoughts of your own! If we weren’t here to feed you your ideas you would simply stop thinking.

Obviously I’m being sarcastic, but that’s actually how the left views their own, and they project it onto us. They can’t defend their ideas. The only way to be influential is to force competing ideas out of the market.

Let’s face it. The real problem progressive leftists have with the right is that we don’t need them anymore.

They aren’t the gatekeepers of information and communication anymore and it really burns their gluten-free buns. They can’t stand that no matter what they try, we keep making end-runs around their stupid, childish barriers. . . .
