Independent Candidate Ed Wade running for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor

In the current race to replace current Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason the only choices residents of Cuyahoga County have are from the same Democrat Party that has run this county into the ground and have let crime - especially within their party ranks -  run rampant.

With the County Sheriff and County Coroner, the two most powerful law enforcement officers of the county, now being appointed -- it is of the utmost importance for the new elected County Prosecutor to have integrity and competence.

With the county corruption trial nearly to an end, we are currently witnessing the end results of what happens when competency, integrity and.or both are lacking in a County Prosecutor.  While justice is supposed to be blind, current County Prosecutor Bill Mason -- was blind to justice.

Ed Wade, an independent candidate for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, is looking for people to assist in gathering signatures to enable him to be on ballot in the General Election this November.

Mr. Wade will be challenging the democrat in November, and most recently ran for Cleveland Municipal Court, during which he was endorsed by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. As an independent candidate, he is working hard to collect the required 4100+ signatures by the end of the month.

Our request is not an endorsement of Mr. Wade, only an endorsement of the political process that will enable the voters of Cuyahoga County to have another choice other than the status quo we have had over the last 20 years.

To make arrangements to have petitions dropped off to you or pick them up, please click here.

Any amount of signatures you can gather will be a great help in giving us a choice this November!

Tea Party Patriots D.C. Road to Repeal Rally

Save the date and join us on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at 12pm. in Washington DC as we begin our journey down the Road to Repeal.

Are you opposed to the Federal Government making medical choices for you?  Join thousands of patriots who share your views on Obamacare. Come to Washington DC and be part of the TPP Road to Repeal Rally.

A majority of Americans view government run health care as a sign of what's to come from big government. More politics, more control and less personal choice.

Recent decisions by the US Department of Health and Human Services show precisely how the government run healthcare will work. The Government will make healthcare decisions based on political consideration over the needs of individuals.

ObamaCare is set to be heard by the Supreme Court of the United States March 26-28.

NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!!!

We need your help to send a strong, clear message to the big government types who are bent on trampling our personal choice and our God-Given and Constitutionally protected freedoms.

This is the first stop on the Road to Repeal. We need your help to win this fight and repeal government run health care!!!!

Patriot groups from across the U.S. are setting up buses to make this historic stand for freedom. To find out more about the Tea Party Patriots Road to Repeal Rally and to find a bus near you please click here.

Buckeye Firearms endorses Ron Lisy (SD 25) for GOP State Central Committee

Candidate for GOP State Central Committee in Senate District 25 and Tea Party member / supporter, Ron Lisy, was recently endorsed by Buckeye Firearms Association.

Buckeye Firearms Association has been leading the charge in protecting our 2nd Amendment rights against attacks by the progressives and liberals who continually assault our God-given and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

From Elect Ron Lisy --

The Buckeye Firearms Association recently made endorsements in several races, including Ohio Republican State Central Committeeman for the 25th Senate District.

According to Buckeye Firearms the choice in that race is former Bedford City Councilman Ron Lisy.

Lisy received a "A" Rating from Buckeye Firearms, a rating that is reserved for candidates with a proven track record of support for Second Amendment rights.

Normally granted only to incumbents, the Buckeye Firearms endorsement committee believed Ron Lisy's track record on Second Amendment rights warranted an "A"  rating.

Democrats Raid Social Security Fund and Short Change Your Future

Congress came to terms on a tentative deal last night, that if passed, will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012. The big dilemma (surprise, surprise) was how to pay for it. President Obama and the Democrats wanted to raise taxes, the Republicans wanted to cut spending to offset the additional costs.  But as par for the course under his failed leadership as Speaker of the House, John Boehner buckled and again walked away with nothing.

Consider this: extending the payroll tax cuts will deprive the Social Security account of $100 billion, which means that the already in-the-red Social Security fund will be driven further into debt. There are some really simple things that the President and Congress can do to replenish Social Security while at the same time extending the payroll tax cut, and none of them need to involve raising taxes on anybody!

Here’s a perfect example: Last spring the Government Accountability Office identified more than $100 billion that could be saved by eliminating duplicative programs!! Following the GAO’s recommendations alone would more than replenish Social Security while maintaining the payroll tax cut.

Instead, Congressional leaders came to terms on a deal that will extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits through the end of 2012, but they have not defined clearly how they will pay for it. Is this simply more political posturing in an election year?

It is only expected that the Democrats from OH like Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Rep. Fudge & Rep. Betty Sutton  would raid your Social Security fund to pay for unfunded mandates. But the most disturbing and the biggest disappointment is that the freshmen GOP members of Congress from Ohio who rode the Tea Party wave into office -- Rep. Jim Renacci, Rep. Bill Johnson, Rep. Bob Gibbs and Rep. Steve Chabot --  would support short changing your future and again fail to do the job they were elected to do.

Call your Senators and Representative today and tell them to STOP committing our future to unfunded liabilities!

Tea Party Patriots (OH) hosting Tele Town Hall for U.S. Senate Primary

Are you tired of the political establishment picking or anointing candidates for you?

 Well now is your chance!

On Monday, February 20, 2012 at 8pm EST, Tea Party Patriot groups from Ohio will be hosting a Tele Town Hall with the candidates in the GOP Primary for the U.S. Senate seat from Ohio.  The winner of this primary will face off against Senator Sherrod Brown - one of the most liberal Senators in D.C.

After each candidate has had an opportunity to participate in the forum we will be conducting a Tea Party Straw Poll. This poll will give insight to what the Tea Party members on the call think about the field of candidates in this all important Senate primary race.

Though a crowded field in this 5 way GOP primary it is refreshing that the conservative voters in Ohio will finally have some quality candidates from which they can choose and not have the GOP choose for them or so-called grassroot groups anointing candidates months before the election.

Welcome Cleveland 9.12 members!

This weekend, The Cleveland 9.12 Project closes down, and Cleveland Tea Party Patriots welcome members who want to continue the efforts to restore America to the country our founders envisioned. Front burner projects in Feb. and March, will be an Action Alert to phone your Columbus legislator when the Ohio Healthcare Compact gets out of committee. A short video explaining the Compact is here. We all need to be familiar with this legislation, as one of the biggest challenges is to educate our family, friends, and neighbors about this initiative.

SAVE THE DATE: February 20 at 8 p.m. Tele-Town Hall with the GOP primary candidates for U.S. Senate. Register here.

I wanted to start off with something about our priorities and directions. Last week, Kurt Schlicter posted his take, Political Moneyball: The Conservative Strategy for Winning the Fight Coming After the Election on the Big Government blog, on the short- and long-term goals of Tea Party Patriots. In particular, he distinguished between the Establishment GOP and conservatives of whatever stripe. Here are some extracts:

The GOP Establishment we keep hearing about is real, and it is also doomed.

That will not change whether the Establishment’s candidate Mitt Romney wins in November or not. After the election, the battle really starts; what is happening now are just skirmishes in a fight for control of the Republican Party. Not the soul of the party – if it had one, it auctioned it off long ago – but the mechanism of the party. The Grand Old Party matters only as a vehicle to carry our banner forward.

To do that, we need to seize control, and we do that by destroying the Establishment starting next November 7th.

Superficially, it might seem that we – the outsiders, the Tea Party, the conservatives, whatever the label – are outgunned by opponents with their hands on the reins of power, money in amounts we can’t hope to match, and pals in the media backing them. But if we understand our strengths, and our opponents’ weaknesses, we can not only compete but eventually prevail.

First, let’s understand our opponent.

The GOP Establishment is an amorphous entity composed of politicians, media types, consultants, writers, lobbyists, party hacks and donors whose first priority is protecting their positions and privileges. Power, and holding onto it, is more important than ideology. That’s where we conservatives differ – we have no formal power or position, so changing the power structure doesn’t scare us. We have nothing to lose; the GOP Establishment has everything to lose.

...

The most important part of the Tea Party/conservatives’ rise since 2009 has not been its remarkably rapid rise to significance and its ability to affect marquee elections in 2010. That’s the short game, and while it matters, what matters more is that it drew huge numbers of conservatives into the political process.

The next generation of GOP leaders will be Tea Party/conservatives. They are the folks starting out now to compete for the kind of local and state party and political offices that lay the foundation for the party’s future. These offices are vital – they are our farm team, a place for future congressional and senate candidates to gain experience and build resumes while implementing Constitutional conservative policies right now that will improve voters’ lives and win them over to our cause.

More on the short game and the long game here.

Welcome again Cleveland 9.12 members!

Tell the U.S. Senate & Harry Reid to Get Some CLASS!

Your Senators need to hear from you now!  The House voted to repeal the CLASS Act portion of ObamaCare.  Now it all goes over to the Senate where it will likely stall out without a push from you and your fellow Patriots!

Please call your Senators to demand they vote to repeal the CLASS Act!  We know the Democrat-led Senate will do nothing that will take away from ObamaCare without a powerful mandate from voters.  Now is the time to push your Senator to demand a vote!

The Community Living Assistance Services and Support program (known as the CLASS Act) is a voluntary program where taxpayers could volunteer to pay premiums for long-term care that would allow the taxpayer to get that cash later in life.   The Obama administration loves it because Americans would be forced to pay into the plan for five years before becoming eligible for any long-term services.

Since premiums for the program would be the same price for everyone healthy people will not voluntarily pay into the program.  The result?  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted last year that the CLASS Act was neither financially feasible nor sustainable.  Still, the White House and Senate still continue to oppose its repeal.  Since we don't have the votes in the Senate to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety, we must count on our leaders to dismantle ObamaCare piece by piece.  Every concerned citizen must force the Senate to bring the CLASS Act repeal to a vote!

It is up to YOU to force your Senators to do the right thing!
