It’s Up to the States

Luis Miguel at The New American is looking beyond the DC swamp – in order to drain the swamp:

Congress Won’t Drain the Swamp — It’s Up to the States

No politician at the federal level is going to drain the swamp, because the federal government is the swamp.

It’s human nature. No one with great power is going to strip himself of that power. That’s like expecting Genghis Khan to step down from the throne. It’s not going to happen.

. . .

The United States began as a federation of sovereign states unified for mutual defense. But eventually, the capital they created — Washington, D.C. — became its own political entity and usurped control over the states that had created it. The state-created federal government, seated in Washington, D.C., now operates on its own independent of the states and opposed to their interests.

. . .

Furthermore, Washington is a city-state in which the ruling dynasty is the globalist cabal. Everything else is a facade. All the congressmen, senators, bureaucrats, intelligence officers, and generals who live and work there are servants of the globalist oligarchy, not representatives of the people. The entire system in D.C. is designed to protect the interests of the cabal — Congress can’t completely reform it from within.

“Everything else is a façade”.  Again, that fits right in with Sundance’s scenario that all of the DC political construct is a “Potemkin Village”, maintained to provide us plebes with the “Illusion of Choice.”  Mr. Miguel concludes:

This is why it is up to the states, through nullification and an aggressive reasserting of their states’ rights, to rein in the federal government. For if D.C. is the swamp, then the city must be drained — and only the states have the power to do it.

Lawyers + Doctors = Ready, Set, Sue

Robert Owens at The New American has an encouraging report:

Ready, Set, Sue! Covid Litigation Conference
Unites Lawyers, Doctors in Fight for Liberty

“We are in the battle of our lives,” proclaimed Dr. Robert Malone at the first-of-its-kind Covid Litigation Conference held on a rainy, late-March weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. Sponsored by technology entrepreneur-cum-Covid warrior Steve Kirsch and his organization Vaccine Safety Research Foundation, and Mendenhall Law Group, a firm experienced in Covid-related litigation, and supported by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s group Children’s Health Defense Fund, the purpose of the conference was to bring hundreds of lawyers together from across the country and teach them how to sue the pants off Joe Biden, Pfizer, and others who continue to perpetrate a multiplicity of frauds and heinous crimes associated with Covid.

The two-day conference featured presentations from dozens of lawyers who have successfully saved lives, jobs, and reputations, and featured many doctors who put their reputations on the line to provide expert advice and testimony. The assemblage also heard from FDA whistleblower Dr. David Gortler and Pfizer whistleblower Brook Jackson. Materials were provided to the lawyers in the form of motions, briefs, decisions, medical affidavits, and much more to save time and help increase the speed with which Covid lawsuits can be filed.

Story after story of overt miscarriages of justice, callous indifference to human life, rejection of obvious facts, and clear cowardice of people in positions of authority permeated virtually every discussion at every table. “I am so ashamed of my profession,” said Dr. Pierre Kory, a world-renowned expert in critical-care medicine who saw colleague after colleague shrink into pusillanimity. Dr. Kory racked up 11 complaints against his medical license in rapid succession and was ostracized by people that he had once considered close friends. . . .

The full report is here. And here one of the quotes that affects us all: ““Hospitals are not run by doctors; they are run by evil administrators.  Hmm.

An Anti-woke Alternative to Amazon

Some good news.  Selwyn Duke at The New American reports on an alternative shopping source for conservatives:

Stop Giving Money to People Who Hate You:
The New Anti-woke, Amazon-like Alternative

. . . there’s a new big-business player in town: a patriotic online marketplace called Public Square (PublicSq.).

. . .

. . . corporate political correctness is now status quo. For instance, major companies have been found conducting woke training that involved “putting ‘marginalized’ staff above ‘privileged’ staff, learning to ‘decolonize their minds’ and combating aspects of an alleged ‘White supremacy culture,’ such as perfectionism, individualism and objectivity,” reported Fox News in 2021.

A few more of a multitude of examples are Covergirl having a male “cover girl,” Lyft allowing users to choose their “pronouns,” Gillette advertising with a “transgender” teen’s first shave, and PayPal banning users critical of Islam. Then there are all the corporations that donated approximately $100 million (and perhaps more) to neo-Marxist organization Black Lives Matter.

The PublicSq. endeavor came on the heels of Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, which also was an effort to break the woke industrial complex’s stranglehold on America.

. . .

[CEO Omeed] Malik was also on Tucker Carlson Tonight Monday evening, and he and host Carlson made a point we ignore at our own peril. “We are slouching towards social credit scores in this country,” said Malik, “and so we need to create this economy to insulate ourselves from that — because the battlefield for liberty will be around commerce, not just politics.” . . .

Review: “The Real Anthony Fauci”

The New American published a “Review of “The Real Anthony Fauci: The Movie,” Part 1 by Veronika Kyrylenko.  Here’s part of the review:

. . . The movie particularly reminds viewers of the way of life the government has imposed on us for the past few years by putting it in the context of the hypocrisy and outright lies that were told. One of the starkest examples is the way Americans, the youngest children included, were forced into masks, the effectiveness of which was never proven and which were previously dismissed as useless by the very authorities who ruthlessly pushed them on young and old alike.

Watching clips of elementary school students sitting behind Plexiglas, separated from each other and masked; or residents of nursing homes crying because of being prohibited from hugging their children and grandchildren; followed by clips of ritzy celebrity gatherings where the VIPs mingle, dance, and drink and are served by masked waiters, is blood-boiling. Such scenes are depressing, but they are worth seeing if we want to keep the government from putting us through this dystopia again — as they well might try.

Given the “the pandemic of the vaccinated” and the chilling probability of new pandemics and epidemics to be unleashed on the vaccinated — whose immune systems have been ravaged by the jabs — the chances that governments worldwide will shut down societies and mandate masks and jabs again are rather high.

Another heartbreaking yet important point made in the documentary is how Fauci and the federal agencies withheld early treatments such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin from Americans, which resulted in a burden of unnecessary deaths. The media that ridiculed those using widely available and extensively used drugs while senselessly parroting the official message have contributed to this tragedy. Despite the number of COVID patients still dying in hospitals from ventilators and toxic remdesivir, the latter is still considered the “standard of care” by the government.

. . .

There was one statement in the review that I question, i.e.: “[the COVID virus] was carefully engineered to be more lethal.” As far as I have read, it was indeed carefully engineered, but not necessarily to be more lethal.  It may have been engineered to be just scary enough to get people to accept the jab.  If there is a bioweapon in this scenario, it’s more likely (IMHO) to be the “vaccine.”

Food Security vs Food Control

William F. Jasper at The New American identifies yet another imminent threat, this one thanks to “Bond villain” Bill Gates:

Bill Gates, Davos Elites
Pushing Global Food Control
Under Guise of “Food Security”

The same globalists who have been supporting and promoting the tyrannical Covid agenda are also driving the world toward a global food crisis and famine. The recent dramatic increases in food prices together with shortages of baby formula and other foods are already pointing to a looming food crisis, and even the prospect of famine. In certain parts of the world, famine is not merely a prospective future to be feared but a present reality that is being experienced now. In Yemen, Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Eritrea, and other countries, millions of people are already dying of starvation, and tens of millions more face the same fate. This comes on the heels of the Covid-19 pandemic and, in fact, it turns out that much of the food crisis and starvation is the result of government policy responses to the virus. The famine death spiral is being hastened by the Covid lockdowns and mandates that disrupted planting and harvesting cycles, destroyed crops and livestock herds, bankrupted crucial businesses, and crippled supply chains.

. . .

During the months that followed the initial viral outbreak, more and more people around the globe began to realize that there was something terribly amiss with the official narratives that were driving us toward medical dictatorship. Physicians, virologists, epidemiologists, biologists, and other scientists — many of whom are world-recognized authorities in their fields — were being censored and “canceled” for daring to challenge government policies as unscientific and harmful, for daring to challenge Anthony (“I represent science”) Fauci. But, despite the censorship, the warnings by these courageous experts were leaking out and confirming the dire misgivings that the average thinking, freedom-loving layman already harbored in his soul. It was becoming daily more evident that Fauci “science” was transforming us — politically, socially, and economically — into a frightening replica of the Orwellian Beijing regime ruled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Apropos of this growing recognition, Covid is increasingly referred to as the “CCP virus,” a term popularized by The Epoch Times.

WEF: Globalist-Communist Convergence

For many observers, one of the most astonishing developments to accompany the CCP virus is the way in which leading “capitalists” have enthusiastically embraced and praised China’s totalitarian “solutions” to the pandemic. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Carlyle, Citibank, and other Wall Street behemoths and their corporate clients have happily cheered on the Covid bandwagon. Of course, as “essential” businesses they have prospered mightily during the pandemic while their smaller, less-politically-connected competitors have been crippled or wiped out.

. . .

Under Covid, the denizens of Big Pharma, with their allied investors and bought-and-paid-for politicians, have gained control over much of our medical and health sectors. Now we are seeing a similar concentration of control over our agriculture and food sectors. Bill Gates, one of the four wealthiest men in the world, is the single most influential person on the planet in directing global health and vaccine policies, with fingers in all aspects of private and public activity. In the past few years, the Microsoft billionaire has become the largest individual owner of American farmland, buying up more than 240,000 acres across eighteen states.

. . .

If one controls the food, one can totally control the population. It is a simple concept — one that all would-be dictators understand full well. History amply testifies, and the government-induced famine experiences of Ukraine, China, and Ethiopia demonstrate, that allowing any government to gain such control is an invitation to mass murder by famine.

The people and institutions leading the push for “food security” should give any sensible person cause for grave alarm. . .

Updates:Gov. Kasich (RINO) on renewable energy and other bills

art credit: redstate

In an article “Kasich Veto Draws Cheers From Environmental Lobby,” Steve Byas at The New American reports:

Once again, Ohio Governor John Kasich  used his veto power to kill yet another bill favored by conservatives in his state. On Tuesday, he killed a bill that would have made renewable energy benchmarks voluntary, rather than mandatory, for the next two years.

Kasich defended his action, saying, “Ohio workers cannot afford to take a step backward from the economic gains that we have made in recent years, however, and arbitrarily limiting Ohio’s energy generation options amounts to self-inflicted damage to both our state’s near and long-term economic competitiveness.” Of course, how suspending mandatory benchmarks imposed on electric companies would limit the companies’ “energy generation options," as opposed to doing exactly the opposite, Kasich did not explain.

Not surprisingly, the Environmentalist Lobby cheered Kasich, who ran for president this year as a Republican. The Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, National Audubon Society, and Ohio Consumers’ Counsel all praised the veto. The “benchmarks,” as they are called, were created by legislation in 2008, requiring electric companies to gradually obtain more energy from “renewable sources,” rather than being allowed simply to make a free market decision to buy the least expensive electricity.

Senator Bill Seitz (R-Cincinatti), however, was not pleased. “It is apparent that Gov. Kasich cares more about appeasing his coastal elite friends in the renewable energy business than he does about the millions of Ohioans who decisively rejected this ideology when they voted for President-elect Trump,” Seitz said in a press release. “We can only hope that President Trump and his amazing cabinet of free market capitalists will save us from this regulatory overreach of Al Gore-style policies that take unnecessary money out of ratepayers’ pockets.”

Seitz said he would move to totally repeal the mandates in the next legislative session.

Kasich made it clear by his veto that he does not trust the free market to sort out which type of energy source is best for Ohio consumers. This veto is a confirmation for many more conservative Republicans that Kasich is simply not a conservative.

Ohio legislators can return to Columbus to override this veto, if they wish. . .

During the Republican presidential contest, Kasich defended the implementation of controversial Common Core standards in his state, and attacked fellow Republican candidates who opposed them — fellow governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, as well as former Governor Mike Huckabee, and U.S. Senators Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. At the time, Donald Trump was not mentioned, although Trump also opposed Common Core, seen by conservative opponents as an attempt to nationalize public education.

There have been numerous other deviations from conservative principles by Kasich, including his backing of the expansion of Medicaid in Ohio under ObamaCare. When Kasich was in Congress, he was one of only 42 Republicans who voted for President Bill Clinton’s ban on assault rifles. He also favors granting U.S. citizenship to illegal aliens.

Clearly, Republican primary voters made a good decision to reject John Kasich for the Republican nomination for president.
