Trump’s interview on Tucker Carlson

For those of you who have long ago turned off the TV, including Fox News, you may still want to know how President Trump’s interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight went.  Andrea Widburg at American Thinker has a column about it, as well as video clips if you are inclined:

On Tuesday night, Tucker Carlson dedicated his entire program to an interview with Donald Trump. Despite six years of non-stop persecution, including two years of dealing with the fallout from a gamed election, and a recent arrest, Trump looked unchanged. He hadn’t aged a bit, and he was every bit as vibrant and on-the-ball as ever. His communication style hadn’t changed either: Discursive and repetitive, but also insightful and showing his intelligence, humanism, and ego. In addition, the interview contained some serious bombshells on everything from the mundane to the existential. . . .

Ms. Widburg has more confidence than do I in future elections, but this blog links to her report on the Trump interview, because it’s otherwise excellent.

Trump Rally in Arizona: update

From CTP contributor Pat:

Trump's Arizona speech was magnificent. He addressed so many issues that the MSM is ignoring and the RINOS are avoiding. Let’s just list some of them:

  • The coldblooded murder of Ashli Babbitt by a Capitol Police Officer
  • The incarceration of January 6th protestors in Gulag conditions without due process
  • The role of Government informants/ agents provocateurs on January 6th, including Ray Epps
  • Highlighting election fraud in Arizona and elsewhere
  • The border crisis
  • Rampant inflation and the energy policies that are partially fueling it
  • The decision of AT&T [and DirecTV) to drop OAN from its streaming service – he didn’t say to boycott AT&T --  but he did
  • The utter humiliation the US suffered with Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan
  • The loss of our hard-earned energy independence
  • Medical care dependent on race
  • Covid mandates

To which I would add, re: the Afghanistan disaster – deliberately leaving behind billions in state-of-the-art equipment and supplies for our sworn enemies was unprecedented in history.

Military transports at Burke Lakefront

One of our friends has a bird’s eye view of Burke Lakefront Airport.  Over the past week, he has observed large military transports coming into land.  Hmmm.  Shortly after the August 15 Afghanistan catastrophe, former Cleveland Councilman Joe Cimperman, now president of Global Cleveland, announced that (via Cleveland 19):

“You’re welcome here in our city.” “That’s the message non-profit Global Cleveland is sending to Afghan refugees during this crisis.”

Here’s an update from Cameron Fields at msn news from late August:

Afghan refugees are beginning to arrive in Cleveland after landing in the U.S., and those involved in the effort said they are working as quickly as possible to bring more to America.

More than 30 refugees have already arrived in Cleveland from Afghanistan, and more are expected soon, Global Cleveland president Joe Cimperman said. Cimperman said he believes the city is ready to welcome and support them.

Last month, the New York Post reported

There’s a reason the Biden administration is using secret flights to small airports to move unaccompanied minors who illegally crossed the border.

They don’t want voters to know just how many people are being waved right into the country, because President Biden understands that open borders might be the policy of progressives, but it’s not popular among the majority of Americans.

But you know who does realize these flights are happening? The people of Central and South America. Word travels fast that no one is getting deported, and that’s why they are paying money to smugglers to take their children on a perilous journey north.

. . .

Just guessing . . .

A View From Abroad

If you have been distressed at America’s downward spiral and dismayed by a media that will not report honestly, you are not alone. At AmericanGreatness, Conrad Black has the bad news:

After three weeks in Europe and extensive discussions with dozens of well-informed and highly placed individuals from most of the principal Western European countries, including leading members of the British government, I have the unpleasant duty of reporting complete incomprehension and incredulity at what Joe Biden and his collaborators encapsulate in the peppy but misleading phrase, “We’re back.”

As one eminent elected British government official put it, “They are not back in any conventional sense of that word. We have worked closely with the Americans for many decades and we have never seen such a shambles of incompetent administration, diplomatic incoherence, and complete military ineptitude as we have seen in these nine months. We were startled by Trump, but he clearly knew what he was doing, whatever we or anyone else thought about it. This is just a disintegration of the authority of a great nation for no apparent reason.”

. . .

. . . And there is no precedent for the completely avoidable and shaming debacle of the American defection from its own alliance and helter-skelter flight from Afghanistan, leaving thousands of desperate people of many nationalities who had relied upon the United States, to fend for themselves against the new terrorist regime that seized power there (and $85 billion of U.S. military hardware along with it).

. . .

The thought of the most successful alliance in history being “led” for three more years by an American president whose round-the-clock gaffes are not protected in Europe as Biden is in the United States by a totalitarian social media platform cartel and terminally biased national political media is a subject of profound and general disconcertion.

Mr. Black’s full article is here.  I don’t agree with everything he says, but he brings a sobering perspective from our erstwhile allies overseas.

America in The Twilight Zone?

Patricia McCarthy is a frequent contributor to American Thinker, and I would describe her as level-headed, certainly not prone to wild and crazy conspiracy theories.  So I was interested to see her article “Vaccines: We Are Living in The Twilight Zone” late last week.  She references that famous Twilight Zone episode where earthlings are racing to get on the spaceship to travel to a distant planet, not realizing the alien “book” they’ve been translating is a cookbook, and the earthlings are the food.  Are there comparisons to today’s societal collapse?  You decide.  This extract is close to the end of her article:

Biden’s participation in the Great Reset looks real. He ceased the building of the border wall on day one of his presidency.  He stopped the Keystone pipeline and ended oil drilling on all federal lands.  He purposefully upended the energy independence Trump had achieved.  Gasoline in California is now around $5 a gallon.  Who does this hurt?  The working poor among us.  And with each passing day, it becomes clearer that Biden will not do anything to protect American interests, in Afghanistan for example,  if it might anger China.  He is without a doubt the worst president in US history.  He has, from day one, capitulated to all of America’s enemies,  angered our allies, and put the US, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan in grave danger.  The ever-so-complicit Fauci who had a hand in developing covid in Wuhan is as pro-China as Biden.

In the meantime, breakthrough infections are killing people as surely as if they were sustenance for the ruling class.   Lives are most likely being cut short, vaccinated teens are being diagnosed with myocarditis.   Moderna has delayed vaxxing teens because of myocarditis.  The entire population of vaccinated people is vulnerable to blood clotting (VITT).

Despite the volumes of information available about the dangers of the vaccines, such information is avoided or suppressed by the mainstream media.  One has to go searching for it.  So as the jabs keep injuring and killing, they have proven not to protect from Covid and yet the administration and its handmaidens in the media pretend this isn’t so and keep demanding every single person be vaxxed.  Those that submit do not realize they are just pawns in a very nasty global reset plan to… what?  Depopulation?  Shorten lifespans?  Cause infertility?  Massively increasing the wealth of the already wealthy?  All of the above?  . . .

Food . . . for thought.  Read the rest of the article here.

Mark Steyn on “the post American world”

Mark Steyn has a sober column on the anniversary of 9-11: "The Years We Wasted."  Here’s his opener:

For most of the last two decades we have observed the anniversary of 9/11 by re-posting my columns from the first few days of the new era. We ceased to do so after September 11th 2017 when "a president who, on the campaign trail, mocked his predecessor's inability to use the words 'radical Islam' himself eschewed all mention of the I-word" - and a defense secretary laughably hyped as Mad Dog Mattis turned out to be just another dribbler from the Washington Generals and retreated to the madrassah wing of the Pentagon to explain that it was all just a theological misunderstanding.

We shall not resume our anniversary observances today. The war is lost, at home and abroad. . . .

The position of the United States is far weaker than it was twenty years ago. Around the planet, the assumption of friends and enemies alike is that the American moment is over and the future belongs elsewhere. They are making their dispositions accordingly. It is not a question of wishing "the post-American world", but of accepting the known facts.

Mark’s full column is here.  It is short, and it is brutal.

Delingpole: features of the New World Order

Breitbart contributor James Delingpole is a favorite of mine.  Although he specializes in coverage of climate hysteria, yesterday at Breitbart, he reported on the draconian measures taking place right now in the formerly free country of Australia.

As readers of Cleveland Tea Party blog know, I have posted frequently on developments with the COVID virus and the flip-flopping restrictions and mandates issued by Fauci et al at the CDC.  In recent weeks, as I have been following these developments, another word popped into my mind -- and that word is “sinister.”  Mr. Delingpole chose the same word.  I am posting part of his report below, because what is happening in the Antipodes is viewed by a few other analysts, incl. Sundance at Treehouse, as a beta test for the New World Order (also known as The Great Reset, previously billed as Agenda 21). [In 1992, a Senator named Joseph R Biden Jr wrote an article for the Wall Street Journal headlined ‘How I Learned to Love the New World Order’. So, is this a conspiracy theory?  Or is it actually coming to a theater near you?

Here’s part of Mr. Delingpole’s “Creepy Australian Officials Start Using “New World Order” as a Talking Point”:

Two senior medical officers have, shockingly, said out loud what a lot of ordinary people already noticed: Australia is sliding inexorably towards a ‘New World Order.’

New South Wales (NSW) Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant (pictured) used the sinister phrase during a Thursday press conference, in response to a question about reopening after the interminable lockdowns imposed by various Australian states.

. . .

Australia has some of the most draconian lockdown policies anywhere in the world right now. Indeed, as this Twitter thread from Maajid Nawaz suggests, the land they once called ‘the Lucky Country’ is now starting to look like a very unlucky totalitarian tyranny.

Among the scary features it has introduced in the last 18 months are:

    • Quarantine camps
    • CCP style surveillance in the form of “Forced” facial recognition & geolocation scanning sent to the government within 15 mins of a text
    • Legally accessing your data & taking control of your online accounts
    • Putting quarantine signs on people’s doors as if they were Medieval plague victims
    • Denying [healthcare] services & “locking out” the unvaccinated to “protect the health service”
    • And, the final insult, deciding how much beer you are allowed to drink in your home prison…

This is really happening.  Now.  Full report with video and screen shots of Twitter threads is here.  Exit question:  Is last month's Afghanistan catastrophe part of the New World Order strategy?

Mark Steyn: America is not "Too Big To Fail"

This weekend the inimitable Mark Steyn posted his column as the catastrophic events unfolded in Afghanistan.  It is a depressing read, and as America’s past and present involvements in Afghanistan impact on our “fiscal responsibility”  (a subject within the scope of Tea Party’s mission), I am linking to it.  Mr. Steyn considers not just the Biden administration’s failures, the U.S. military’s failures, Afghanistan and the Taliban, but also larger consequences, for America and across the globe.  Here’s Mr. Steyn’s opening:

To reprise a line from a decade-old column of mine:

Afghanistan is about Afghanistan – if you're Afghan or Pakistani. But, if you're Russian or Chinese or Iranian or European, Afghanistan is about America.

That's the point to remember: if you're an Afghan schoolgirl, today is the fall of Kabul; elsewhere, in the chancelleries of allies and enemies alike, it's the fall of America. Even by their usual wretched standards, the world's most somnolent media are struggling to stay up to speed on the story. Here's the scoop from USA Today:

Taliban's Afghanistan Advance Tests Biden's 'America Is Back' Foreign Policy Promise

You don't say! Did he misread the prompter, or mishear the guy in his ear? "America is on its back", surely?

But don't worry, the world's most lavishly over-funded "intelligence community" is on the case:

Kabul Could Fall To The Taliban Within 90 Days, U.S. Intelligence Warns

Thank you, geniuses. That was Thursday. So it turned out to be well within ninety hours - which is close enough for US intelligence work.

. . .

One of the depressing aspects of the Swamp is that everything becomes a racket - including even your armed forces. Look at that buffoon at top right, the guy who heads the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Thoroughly Modern Milley: that's an awful lot of chest ribbonry for a nation that hasn't won a war in three-quarters of a century. During his recent wokier-than-thou Congressional testimony on "white rage", I wish someone would have asked Thoroughly Modern what they were all for:

Well, this is for Korea... Vietnam... This small ribbon's for the Jimmy Carter helicopters-in-the-desert fiasco, because that went tits up far quicker than it usually takes... Here's the Pentagon Female Empowerment Award I got for introducing Take Your Child Bride To Work Day to Jalalabad... This one's from the Association of Non-Binary Staff Colleges for Most Transitions in a Single Battalion... Oh, and this most recent one is for getting into a Twitter spat over Tucker Carlson...

If you don't have total contempt for Milley and the rest of the brass right now, you're part of the problem.

And here’s a chilling scenario:

America is not "too big to fail": It's failing by almost every metric right now. The world-record brokey-brokey-brokeness manifested by the current spending bills is only possible because the US dollar is the global currency. When that ends, we're Weimar with smartphones. Clearly, Chairman Xi and his allies occasionally muse on the best moment to yank the dollar out from under. If you were in Beijing watching telly today, would you perhaps be considering advancing those plans?

. . .
