Defining "The Great Reset" a/k/a "New World Order"

Imprimis is a publication of Hillsdale College, and contributors adapt their various campus lectures to the print edition.  Last year, Michael Rectenwald, Chief Academic Officer for American Scholars, published “What Is the Great Reset? (Dec 2021)  

The Great Reset a/k/a Agenda 21 a/k/a Agenda 2030 a/k/a New World Order has been the subject of many linked reports on this blog.  The terms still prompt questions and skepticism, so I am linking to the online version of Mr Rectenwald’s essay; here’s the opening:

Is the Great Reset a conspiracy theory imagining a vast left-wing plot to establish a totalitarian one-world government? No. Despite the fact that some people may have spun conspiracy theories based on it—with some reason, as we will see—the Great Reset is real.

Indeed, just last year, Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF)—a famous organization made up of the world’s political, economic, and cultural elites that meets annually in Davos, Switzerland—and Thierry Malleret, co-founder and main author of the Monthly Barometer, published a book called COVID-19: The Great Reset. In the book, they define the Great Reset as a means of addressing the “weaknesses of capitalism” that were purportedly exposed by the COVID pandemic.

But the idea of the Great Reset goes back much further. It can be traced at least as far back as the inception of the WEF, originally founded as the European Management Forum, in 1971. In that same year, Schwab, an engineer and economist by training, published his first book, Modern Enterprise Management in Mechanical Engineering. It was in this book that Schwab first introduced the concept he would later call “stakeholder capitalism,” arguing “that the management of a modern enterprise must serve not only shareholders but all stakeholders to achieve long-term growth and prosperity.” Schwab and the WEF have promoted the idea of stakeholder capitalism ever since. They can take credit for the stakeholder and public-private partnership rhetoric and policies embraced by governments, corporations, non-governmental organizations, and international governance bodies worldwide.

Another way of describing the goal of the Great Reset is “capitalism with Chinese characteristics”—a two-tiered economy, with profitable monopolies and the state on top and socialism for the majority below.

Other developments that advance the Great Reset agenda have included unfettered immigration, travel restrictions for otherwise legal border crossing, the Federal Reserve’s unrestrained printing of money and the subsequent inflation, increased taxation, increased dependence on the state, broken supply chains, the restrictions and job losses due to vaccine mandates, and the prospect of personal carbon allowances. . . .

Mr Rectenwald concludes:

Just as Schwab and the WEF predicted, the COVID crisis has accelerated the Great Reset. Monopolistic corporations have consolidated their grip on the economy from above, while socialism continues to advance for the rest of us below. In partnership with Big Digital, Big Pharma, the mainstream media, national and international health agencies, and compliant populations, hitherto democratic Western states—think especially of Australia, New Zealand, and Austria—are being transformed into totalitarian regimes modeled after China.

But let me end on a note of hope. Because the goals of the Great Reset depend on the obliteration not only of free markets, but of individual liberty and free will, it is, perhaps ironically, unsustainable. Like earlier attempts at totalitarianism, the Great Reset is doomed to ultimate failure. That doesn’t mean, however, that it won’t, again like those earlier attempts, leave a lot of destruction in its wake­—which is all the more reason to oppose it now and with all our might.

Solway: The Threat of the New World Order

 

 David Solway at The Pipeline outlines the New World Order. He begins:

It is disturbing to note that the greater portion of the public do not seem to be aware of the vast ideological movement for social transformation called the Great Reset. Those who are at least partially informed consider it merely another conspiracy theory. Some among the so-called elite—the media, the academy, the political stratum—consider the Great Reset as a rational and benevolent response to the specter of overpopulation and the threat of populist uprisings. Others among the patrician class, doubtless a majority, are engaged in promoting what they know to be a concerted attempt to destabilize and supplant the long-established order of ideally democratic governance that has slowly and incrementally characterized the liberal societies of the West, dating from the Magna Carta (1215) and the Peace of Westphalia (1648) to the approximate present.

We should make no mistake about this. The revolutionary project, whether denominated as the New World Order, the U.N.’s Agenda 2030, or the Davos-centered Great Reset—different terms for essentially the same impetus—under the influential leadership of Klaus Schwab is apocalyptic in its aims. It envisages a world in which the middle-class will have been expunged, the global census markedly winnowed, and a China-like social credit system introduced in which citizens will be under constant digital surveillance determining what they are allowed to possess, rent, use or spend.

Mr. Solway concludes:

The last decade or two has served as a trial run for what is to come. Media censorship and administrative fiat culminating in the gradual suppression of long-standing freedoms and economic expectations have tenderized the public for a grim and reductive future in which they will own nothing and be miserable. The Great Reset is poised to profit from such prefatory conditioning in the laboratory of public affairs and political enactments. There is no getting around the brazen fact that we are now facing arguably the greatest menace ever to gather its forces against the liberal civilization of the West. This is not hyperbole. For the regents of deconstruction, it’s full speed ahead. The Great Reset is approaching steadily and with growing rapidity, unless we are vigilant, muster our resources, and meet the challenge with renewed vigor and conviction. Whether the effort will bear fruit remains to be decided, but there is, really, no alternative.

Supply Chain problems will persist

 

Brandon Smith at Alt-Market.us warns us that "Supply Chain problems will persist because the system is being sabotaged.  

. . . New York Times contributor Paul Krugman claimed that “no one saw this coming” when he was recently forced to admit that he was wrong on inflation. This is the same thing MSM economists said after the credit crash of 2008. It was a lie back then and it’s a lie now. Plenty of people saw it coming; we’ve been repeating our warnings for years, but they didn’t want to listen or they did not want us to be heard.

Krugman is perhaps the worst and most arrogant economist/propagandist in the US, and though he belatedly acknowledged the inflation and supply chain threat after arguing for the past two years that it was “transitory,” he now claims that the traditionally accepted indicators of recession “don’t matter” anymore and that there is no downturn. How many times can this guy be proven ignorant and still keep his job?

It’s this kind of disinformation that keeps the public in the dark on what is about to happen. Maybe it’s because of stupidity and ego, or maybe it’s a deliberate attempt to keep the population docile (I say it is deliberate), but in either case the American people are being put in great danger when it comes to the false narrative on inflation and the supply chain. The longer they are led to believe the disaster will simply go away on its own, the less time they have to prepare.

The bottom line is this: Things are only going to get worse from here on. Maybe slowly, or maybe quickly depending on a handful of factors.

Mr Smith concludes:

Stagflation and supply chain shortages are going to become the all encompassing issues of our era. They will be terms that are spoken about daily at every dinner table in America and probably through most of the world. These are dangers that were predicted extensively by the liberty media well ahead of time. They are NOT a surprise. And, there are plenty of institutions, corporate and government, that could have done something about them, but they chose not to. It’s important for people to accept the fact that this crisis is not a product of stupidity; it is a product of malicious motives and intent.

Liberal a/k/a New World Order

 

 

Too bad for you, Mr. & Mrs. John Q. Citizen.  According to our betters, your pain at the pump is no big deal.  It's just the price you must pay for The New World Order. Jesse Martin at 100percentfedup is one of many bloggers reporting:

On Friday, Biden’s advisor and director of the National Economic Council, Brian Deese, took things a step further in a slap to the face of working America.

When asked what he would say to families struggling to pay $4.85 or more at the pump for months or even years, this was his response:

“This is about the future of the Liberal World Order, and we have to stand firm.” Whatever the “Liberal World Order” is, Deese clarifies that it is not about helping the working class. It is not about helping Americans. And it is not about affordability for either group.

This comes after Biden stated that US drivers will pay a premium at the pump for “As long as it takes.” As long as what takes, precisely? Killing fossil fuels to implement a green agenda, most likely. . . .

Yes, well, that’s the plan.  And the progressive left is talking about it out loud. 

“Whatever the ‘Liberal World Order’ is"?  The “Liberal World Order” is the same as the New World Order, a/k/a Great Reset, a/k/a Agenda 2030 (see the America First Report here re: the interchangeable terminology.)

More: Controlling the food supply

Dr. Joseph Mercola has been bird-dogging the changes to the food supply chains and systems that affect all of us (this blog posted an earlier report from The New American; click here.) I would dismiss his latest report as alarmist had he not footnoted his sources and supported his points. Here’s the bullet-point STORY AT-A-GLANCE at NOQ Report:

• The globalist takeover is coming at us from every possible angle. Whether we’re talking about biosecurity, finance, housing, health care, energy, transportation or food, all the changes we’re now seeing have one goal, and that is to force compliance with a totalitarian slave system
• The global food system, and protein sources in particular, are currently under coordinated and intentional attacks to manufacture food shortages and famine
• The globalist elite intend to eliminate traditional farming and livestock and replace it with indoor-grown produce and lab-created protein alternatives that they own and control
• While the presence of hundreds of food brands gives the appearance of market competition, the reality is that the food industry is monopolized by fewer than a dozen companies, and all of them, in turn, are largely owned by BlackRock and Vanguard
• Eventually, your ability to buy food will be tied to your digital identity and social credit score

In an April 27, 2022, blog post, investigative journalist Corey Lynn takes a deep dive into the new food system being put into place, and how it is geared to control you.

“‘Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.’ This famous quote by Henry Kissinger is ringing more and more true by the week,” Lynn writes.

In April 2019, FFAR launched the Precision Indoor Plants (PIP) Consortium, a public-private partnership of indoor growers, breeders and genetics companies with the shared goal of advancing speed-breeding and altering plant chemicals responsible for flavor, nutrition and medicinal value. Five key crops being worked on are lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, cilantro and blueberries.

All those are favorites in our household. 

“Bill Gates insists that droughts and climate change is destroying our ability to farm and that the future will consist of populations moving into metropolitan cities where indoor vertical farming [see image above] is necessary to feed people.

If this is the case, why has he acquired 242,000 acres of farmland over the past decade while simultaneously investing in indoor vertical farming? Who gets to sit at the table with healthy produce served up by Gates while the rest of the population eats gene-edited produce from locked-down facilities, delivered to their local grocery store, and accessed only through a digital ID?” Lynn asks.

If true, then what can we do?

Part of the answer is to grow your own food, to the best of your ability. Another part is to support local growers by buying their produce, or else they’ll get pushed out. Starting local co-ops and community gardens can also go a long way toward creating food security in the long term.

At the same time, we also have to reject globalist solutions like fake meat, gene-edited beef, GMO foods and all the rest of it. It’s time to recognize that none of their solutions are for our benefit. They’re for our detriment. The World Economic Forum has declared that by 2030, you will own nothing. They mean it. They will take everything from us, including the right to grow our own food, if we let them.

New World Order: They Are Saying It Out Loud

Imagine pills that send signals to your pharmaceutical overlords so they know you’re actually taking their drugs and not faking it. Staying compliant is, after all, a requirement to live in the near-future dystopian society the New World Order has planned. They cannot have people walking around who haven’t ingested their poisons, right?

It sounds like science fiction until you realize it was just announced by Albert Bourla, CEO for Pfizer, to the World Economic Forum at their globalist Davos gathering.

“It is a, basically, biological chip, that is in the tablet, and once you take the tablet and dissolves into your stomach sends a signal that you took the tablet,” he said. “So, imagine the applications of that, the compliance.”

As I’ve said for the last year, the globalist elites are no longer hiding in the shadows plotting their takeover. They’re openly discussing their plans to divide the world’s population into two groups: Those who are compliant and those who need to be eliminated.

Pandemic Treaty: the worst part

 

At Freedom First Network, JD Rucker identifies perhaps the most alarming development in the so-called Pandemic Treaty "negotiations" – to a treaty already in the works to cede global power to the World Health Organization (linked on this blog last Saturday; click here).

. . . The powers-that-be are in the process of tying “climate change” to “healthcare” in a way that would give the World Health Organization total supremacy.

By making climate change a healthcare issue, they will have the catch-all they need in order to exert control over every aspect of our lives. Climate change will be blamed for pandemics, as Dr. Li-Meng Yan noted on the latest episode of Two Mikes. Climate change will be blamed for the current food shortages that are plaguing the world, giving the World Health Organization control over the food supply. Add in energy, military, and transportation issues that will be tied to climate change and it’s clear the Pandemic Treaty bolstered by an attachment to climate change is the ultimate huge step towards The Great Reset.

The Great Reset = Agenda 2030 = New World Order.  

Canada has already responded with a #StopTheTreaty movement.  I have not found a comparable reaction as yet in America.  Neenah Payne has posted a column that includes a plan to contact state representatives (click here), but since it’s predicated on the concept of nullification, I am continuing to scout around for other initiatives.
