Text for your letter to the judiciary & RINOs

Yesterday, I scrolled through an article at Citizen Free Press headlined “President Trump Speaks With Ashli Babbitt’s Mother Outside J6 DC Gulag.”  And in the comments I found this:

Here’s a letter to send to your State Appeals Court, State Supreme Court, and U.S. Supreme Court. Also the last sentence isn’t appropriate if you’re sending to a FIGHTER, but it’s very appropriate if you’re sending to a RINO:

PIO@supremecourt.gov

Dear Judge [or name of RINO]

The fact that we have political prisoners being held without substantial charges, without bail, and literally starting to die like neglected animals is a stain on the Judicial System that has seared itself into the minds of the American People.

Now this is what happens when you allow people to openly steal an election. They just move on to the next outrage. We’ve got a real problem now, we’ve got people at the highest levels sick in the head with what they perceive as power.

This is going to stop, I don’t know how but I can assure you it is going to stop. The problem’s going to be how to deal with these “Socialists” while that process is taking place; because with their hearts hardened like Pharaoh’s, they won’t stop. The sooner we address this the better, that’s all we know for sure.

So do something; if you can’t uphold the Oath of Office, don’t take the job.

Sincerely concerned citizen,

Copy. Paste. Send. Share. And thanks to the commenter posting as “Action.”

UPDATE: First Amendment & due process violations

J B Shurk at American Thinker is horrified at the continuing violations of First Amendment rights and due process protections:

Several members of the [American Thinker] community recently focused my attention on the plight of J6 political prisoner Jonathan Mellis, who has already spent nineteen months in the American Gulag for the "crime" of protesting against his government.

Mellis is one of hundreds who have endured the wrath of a wayward Washington politburo that has thrown Americans' Bill of Rights and founding principles right out the window.  Dennis Prager actually managed to secure a fifteen-minute interview with the incarcerated Mellis on December 22, 2021, and has replayed the disturbing audio for his listeners several times.  I encourage anyone who has not already come across it to find a few minutes to concentrate on their conversation.  The thirty-five-year-old Mellis, whom Prager identifies as a native Tennessean, although he was arrested in Virginia, sounds remarkably calm and composed, considering that he had already endured nearly a full year in jail (with no end yet in sight) and was obviously communicating with Prager from behind enemy lines.

His story is similar to those of other J6 political prisoners caught up in this abusive, Soviet-style purge, yet his descriptions are unnervingly poignant.  Like so many of us who angrily watched as mass mail-in balloting and other pandemic-related voting shenanigans corrupted the 2020 election, Mellis hoped January 6 would stand as a historic day when civic-minded Americans engaging in political protest would successfully convince Congress and the courts to take a hard look at the suspicious irregularities tainting the election.  He is undoubtedly a fiercely patriotic American who loves his country and would sacrifice anything for it.  He speaks as a man committed to America's foundations in liberty.  He does not sound as if malice has blighted his heart.  He arrived in D.C. to defend America's standing as the "Land of the Free."  He expected to rectify an electoral injustice.  He wanted D.C.'s permanent bureaucracy to visually see the resolve of millions of Americans' moral conviction.  He expected triumph.  And he has received little but despair. . . .

Read the rest here.

Where are the GOP members of congress?  Why is it Dennis Prager or Julie Kelly (see, for example, here and here – both at American Greatness) banging on the doors to get these people out of jail.

On Due Process

J6 protestors have been incarcerated for 20 months - and counting - without due process protection.  Donald Trump is having difficulty finding attorneys who will represent him.  At American Thinker, Andrea Widburg provides some important background and history on the Bill of Rights:

Leftists seem pleased that no lawyers will represent Trump. This is a terrible thing that, as much as anything else, represents the downfall of America under the left’s aegis. The aggressive leftist purge of conservative or just brave attorneys is destroying one of America’s greatest institutions: Every person’s right to have an attorney at his side.

In 1770, Redcoats fired on a crowd that had surrounded them, taunting them and pelting them with dangerous projectiles. Five colonists died. The British soldiers claimed self-defense, but the patriots in Boston called it murder. We remember it as the Boston Massacre.

What too few Americans know is that the soldiers, despite a trial in hostile territory, got a stellar defense. Their attorney was John Adams. He knew that representing the soldiers was a risk that could destroy his law practice and impoverish his family, but he also understood something very important about the law in a free country: No one should have to stand alone against the awesome majesty of the state, which has the power of the police, the prosecution, the judge, and the executioner.

. . .

What’s happening here is troubling. As John Adams knew, every person, even a guilty person, needs a friend in the court who will help him when the all-mighty government comes calling. A good lawyer may find himself defending unpopular people or causes, but that comes with the territory in a free country.

Leftists want to destroy this important right. When they’re done, we will all be at the mercy of a government that can abandon due process entirely because hapless defendants will be helpless to assert it. The same government can also do anything it damn well pleases because no lawyers will be there to challenge its illegalities and excesses.

Lots more here.  When the government can abrogate our Bill of Rights, we’re on our own.

J6 “hearing” is political theater

The January 6 / J6 Committee “hearing” will be broadcast tomorrow evening (Thurs., June 9) at 8pm on major networks (except Fox). It’s all political theater; Democrats admit itSee also here and here.

Julie Kelly at American Greatness has been tireless in her efforts to report the corruption at DOJ, resulting in J6 prisoners (in reality just patriotic protesters at a peaceful rally) still languishing in DC jails with no due process protections as enumerated in the Constitution. Ms. Kelly previews the committee hearings to be televised:

. . . [W]ill the committee release 14,000 hours of surveillance video to show what happened inside and outside of the Capitol building on January 6? Biden’s Justice Department quickly designated the footage as “highly sensitive government material” that remains under strict protective orders in court proceedings.

Allowing the public to view most of the video is the best way to uncover the “truth” about what happened that day. Why continue to conceal it? If January 6 is comparable to 9/11 and other deadly terror attacks, as Biden and his apparatchiks insist, Cheney and her colleagues should authorize the immediate and unedited release of all publicly-funded security video.

. . .

Where are the internal investigative reports on police misconduct on January 6? Will the committee make public the inquiry into the police killing of Ashli Babbitt? What about the three other fatalities that day? [see, e.g., here]. Democrats continually describe January 6 as a “deadly” insurrection but the only people who died were Trump supporters. Will Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill), who cried at testimony by police officers during last July’s hearing, shed similar tears for four dead Americans whose deaths were wholly or partially a result of excessive force used on January 6?

. . .

Speaking of the FBI, will the committee disclose how many undercover agents and informants were in any way involved with January 6? Reporting by the New York Times last year confirmed at least two informants infiltrated the Proud Boys months before and were among the first to “breach” the perimeter of the grounds.

Court filings reveal that undercover federal agents were stationed around the building before the chaos unfolded; hundreds of elite FBI agents were summoned to Quantico the weekend before January 6 and deployed to downtown D.C. that morning. For what?

A top FBI official refused to say whether FBI agents or informants provoked or engaged in violent behavior that day. As the recent trial of Michael Sussmann again showed, a seamless relationship exists between Democratic Party interests and the nation’s top law enforcement agency—so much so that the FBI has a workplace at Perkins Coie, the Democrats’ powerhouse law firm.

. . .

Ms. Kelly concludes:

It’s highly unlikely, of course, that the committee will address any of those matters during this week’s hearing or in subsequent performances. Meanwhile, congenital liars such as Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) will perpetuate long-debunked narratives including the number of police officers who died as a result of January 6 (the answer is none) or that Trump loyalists brought firearms into the building (they didn’t).

A sham congressional committee working with a corrupt Justice Department boosted by a dishonest national media can only be expected to create political propaganda, not expose the truth; no matter how hard Liz Cheney pretends her vengeance mission is legitimate, most of the American public isn’t buying what she’s selling.

Documentary: 'Capitol Punishment'

J6 photo credit: Jon Cherry/Getty Images via Daily Signal

There’s an interview at The Daily Signal with the two producers of Capitol Punishment. You’ll remember Nick Searcy from the film Gosnell, or in Cast Away as Tom Hanks’s buddy.  I was not familiar with Chris Burgard’s work.  Robert Bluey, executive editor of The Daily Signal, is the interviewer.

The full transcript is disturbing and devastating.  Our household plans to watch the film online over the weekend.  For now, here’s the conclusion of the interview with links to the film itself (online @ $9.99):

Movie ‘Capitol Punishment’ Tells Stories
You Won’t Hear From Jan. 6 Committee

Searcy: Well, to be honest, I must say, at the beginning I was reluctant because I was scared. And so many of the people that we talk to, we interview a number of people in the movie, but there’s an equal number, if not more, that were afraid to speak to us.

Because when you see the way the government is treating these people, it makes you wonder, “Is it worth it?” But as we kind of got going, and Chris and I, “OK, we’re going to make this movie,” and we started talking to people as it went on, it became something that I knew I had to do. We had to finish this. We had to see it through. …

I was appalled at my own government and I really never wanted to think this. I never wanted to think that this is what my government is like, but it is. And we have to expose it. We have to get the truth out there and people need to confront it.

I’ve always said from the beginning, even if you disagree with us, please, would you just please watch this movie and tell me if you think this is the way Americans should be treated, no matter what side they’re on.

Even if they were there protesting a Republican president, do you think this is correct? Do you think this is the way our government should operate? And a lot of the problem that we have is a lot of people on the left, they’re afraid to look at it. They don’t want to see the movie. They call it propaganda. They’re just afraid to look at something that might disturb their worldview.

But I really believe that if more people will confront the truth of what happened about Jan. 6 and see through the government’s lies, we’re all going to be better off for it. We can still save this country, but people have to confront the truth of what is actually happening right in front of their faces.

. . . Right now, there’s a number of places, but the best one right now is: Go to givemelibertynow.org. [to buy] … And you can also find it at capitolpunishmentthemovie.com. [to watch online]

Full interview transcript is here.

We Will Delete You

Michael Young is a visiting fellow at the Center for Renewing America. His article in Tablet Mag explores the hazards and risks to our freedoms in the age of Big Tech and consolidated banking systems.  It’s not pretty, and he concludes:

What happens when a government is no longer required to do the very difficult, friction-filled work of finding people, writing tickets, arresting them, charging them, granting them due process, obtaining convictions, and jailing the guilty? When the government can bring a person’s practical participation in society to a standstill with the push of a button, it becomes silly to even talk about individual rights or due process. In the face of this new kind of push-button power, exercised at the whim of the governing party with zero legal oversight, individuals can simply be deleted from the system—even if, technically speaking, they are never charged with or convicted of a crime.

. . .

A deeper concern is what happens when private institutions like corporations, universities, and media exercise the same power without even the pretense of accountability. If the large financial institutions want to, they can act as gatekeepers to society and would be held accountable only by the market, to which they also hold the keys. Given that institutions are heavily dependent on each other, if the institutions that hold important positions in the global financial web decide to freeze someone out, they can do so with the push of a button. Worse yet, we can imagine a scenario in which a system of freeze-outs could be automated based on people’s credit scores, purchasing histories, political donation patterns, key words in social media postings, carbon footprints, or political activism. It’s not hard to imagine a situation in which a citizen of a democracy wakes up one day to find themselves unable to participate in the digital economy, where almost all financial transactions take place, due to an automated system which flags them as being undesirable in some way.

Corporations and government have always exercised tremendous power, of course. Government has a monopoly on the use of force, using the policing powers to enforce laws. Corporations have always exercised enormous power via market share, advertising, lobbying, and other financial instruments. But never before have they been able to lock ordinary citizens out of social participation with the flip of a switch.

This push-button tyranny is real, and it represents a greater abuse of power than any that has been exercised before within the boundaries of liberal democratic government. It is new, it is breathtaking, and it is very dangerous.

Julie Kelly on political retribution: Canada and America

Julie Kelly has been exposing the unlawful incarceration without due process of the January 6 “insurrectionists.”  Here’s a short extract from her report at American Greatness:

. . . As freedom-lovers justifiably recoil at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s crackdown on vaccine mandate protesters, Americans worry the same sort of political retribution could happen here. I’m sorry to report, it already has.

The scenes from Ottawa are matched or surpassed by the images here, including thuggish cops attacking January 6 protesters with mace and explosive devices. The difference? Instead of mounted police trampling a woman, ours merely shot and killed one woman and beat up a few more.

What the Trudeau regime is now unleashing against the truckers and their supporters has been underway in America for more than a year. Using January 6 as a pretext, the Biden regime is brandishing its authority to crush political dissent. Now, it appears Trudeau and his apparatchiks are stealing the U.S. Justice Department’s playbook of power and pain.

The comparisons are stark.  . . .

Plenty more here. And it is not pretty.

Vaccine Passports: Coming to a neighborhood near you?

Terry Paulding at American Thinker describes what life is like now in San Francisco, but it’s not just Californians who are miserable; the tyranny of elite politicians and bureaucrats can spread anywhere:

After two solid years of COVID restrictions, many of us have reached a breaking point.  Witness the mass exodus to other states from sunny California.  Who wouldn't want to get out of here, away from this strangling, prison-like "reality"?

Malaise is now spreading throughout the country, as a direct result of Biden's mass migration.  How do you know that your chosen destination hasn't been set upon by a horde of unknown, unemployed migrants?  This makes moving elsewhere less attractive.  You can't know what you'll find when you get there, but it might be just as bad — or if clandestine flights continue, will be soon.  Moving to the south of Texas or Arizona is certainly no longer attractive.  You must pity the people stuck dealing with the relentless and dangerous influx.

Locally, as of yesterday, I've become an Untouchable.  I can no longer eat in a restaurant in any of the communities surrounding my home, or legally enter my gym, attend a concert, go to a museum, or do anything that enriches life beyond the bare bones of going shopping for food or goods or taking a walk outdoors.  Why?  Because I refuse to carry or show a "vaccine passport" or share my "status."

. . .

They have ways to keep us in line.  Why else the twisted J6 narrative and the prisoners' plight?  It's a blatant warning to all of us, in this über-political atmosphere, that unconstitutional imprisonment, without bail or trial, could be anyone's fate.  Watch what you do or say!  You could be next!

We are heading precipitously toward becoming a society that is as repressive and over-controlled as any communist regime.  Force everyone to have a digital vaccine card, and they have won control.  They'll be able to identify — and eventually weed out — those of us who are "non-compliant."  The gamble, that they can get it done before the midterms...we shall see!  Hopefully, although we seem to be losing the battle right now, we can still grind slowly toward winning the war.

Marxists: getting what they want by any means

Steve Hecht is a new name for me.  From his bio:  Mr. Hecht is a businessman, writer, and film producer, born and raised in New York. He has lived and worked in Guatemala since 1972. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance, both from Columbia University. His article about the Saul Alnksky tactics being used to divide Americans is on point:

The deceitful portrayal of the January 6 protest as an insurrection is a tactic to divide the nation and impose a dictatorship. With big-tech censorship and regime-media manipulation, the false narrative has garnered momentum and is paving the way for further erosion of the electoral and judicial systems.

The January 6 event could not have been an insurrection. It had zero chance of overthrowing the government, which was not even the intent of the protest. They wanted to restore electoral integrity and transparency. Those who assert otherwise are boldfaced liars or blind followers of the liars.

In his 1971 work, Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky wrote, “All issues must be polarized … One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” By making opponents devils, followers of radical manipulators need not even consider an issue’s merits. They follow party dogma to avoid empowering the evil ones.

Information control is essential to convince a large proportion of the public that a lie is true. Legacy and social media partner with Democrats by lying to and hiding the truth from their audiences. A scan regarding any issue important to Democrats reveals complete lockstep representation in legacy outlets and on social-media platforms. Without media partners, the Biden regime could not have achieved power; the truth stands in the way of the Biden agenda.

Since 2016, Democrats and their media partners have falsely demonized Trump and his supporters as white supremacists, xenophobes, and any epithet they can pile on.  . . .

Legacy and social media, Democrats, and federal bureaucrats (the cabal) together created false narratives about Trump-Russia collusion, a call to Ukraine, Hunter Biden’s computer, and finally, the January 6 events. Using typical Marxist self-projection onto the enemy, the cabal falsely portrays Trump supporters as cult followers. The purpose is to keep cabal followers angry, fearful, and ready to support any action, including crimes, against the enemy.

Some pundits say Democrats are hypocrites for condemning the January 6 event as an insurrection while viewing the violence between June and August of 2020 in many cities as peaceful. Totalitarians go beyond hypocrisy and double standards. They have only one standard: getting what they want by any means.

. . .

The (Not) for the People Act must not pass. Democrats support it because they cannot win free elections. If America-first Republicans succeed over RINOS, such as Democrat facilitator Liz Cheney, and limit electoral fraud, Americans will have a chance to recover in 2022 and 2024.

Due process? Not any more

Innocent protesters are languishing in DC jail cells – with no due process and no relief in sight.
Patricia McCarthy at American Thinker reports:

Julie Kelly at American Greatness has been doing yeoman work exposing the crimes of the D.C. leftists who have targeted, arrested, and imprisoned hundreds of people who attended President Trump's speech and may have wandered toward or even into the Capitol on January 6.  While there were some bad actors there that day, most likely Antifa/BLM interlopers or genuine lunatics, most of those present were actually invited into the Capitol building, as some of the video has shown.

Who ordered the Capitol police to stand down?  Probably Pelosi, who very much wanted an "incident" with which to tar and feather Trump and his supporters.  It was possibly a calculated set-up.  Who else was involved remains to be seen, but as everyone knows by now, that event has been blown so far out of proportion as to no longer resemble at all what actually took place.

Unlike the Antifa/BLM riots that occurred across the country over the summer of 2020, the incident that day was like a schoolyard scuffle compared to the violent, destructive, and even murderous conflagrations that did hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to numerous cities.  People need to be reminded that the left, most especially Kamala Harris, Biden, and the leftmedia in its entirety, either supported those "protests" or called them "mostly peaceful" — which they certainly were not.

As for those caught up in the January 6 mêlée, not one of those who have been locked up, some in solitary confinement was armed.  Not one.  The only person killed was Ashli Babbitt, shot to death by a Capitol Police officer.  She was not armed.  The officer who shot her has yet to be named; Babbitt's family is suing to learn his identity.  Curious, since when a criminal is killed by police in the commission of a crime, the officer involved is usually identified and suspended immediately, even if the shooting was righteous.  Something is very rotten in Denmark.

. . .

Indeed, the weaponization of all our federal institutions under the Obama administration transformed this nation in ways few of us could imagine.  Those alphabet agencies, by then viciously anti-Trump, kicked into high gear the minute Trump won the 2016 election.  Over the next four years, from the Russia collusion hoax to two phony impeachments to January 6, America became something like Putin's Russia.

. . .

What is happening there is not only indefensible but depraved.  Julie Kelly has heard from some of those imprisoned that they are being punished for what was revealed on Mark Levin's Sunday program.  Can this be happening in America?  It is happening.

. . .

Please, complacent GOP, go to bat for those people in the D.C. version of a Soviet labor camp.  Rescue them.  Stand and deliver.  Now is the time.

Announcement from Look Ahead America: Political Persecution

From Matt Braynard of "Look Ahead America":

Patriotic Americans became targets of the Biden Administration as the Department of Justice and the FBI have targeted, imprisoned, and persecuted non-violent American patriots.

Months have passed and our fellow citizens remain separated from their loved ones, isolated in solitary confinement, have been denied medical care, denied access to faith and worship services, and have faced financial ruin due to court costs and legal fees. This wrongful and unjust persecution must end.

Join us on Saturday, June 19th, at noon, in Washington, DC, as we Rally Against Political Persecution outside the Department of Justice, 10th Street NW, between Constitution Ave NW and Pennsylvania Ave NW.

This event is a peaceful demonstration of our First Amendment Rights.

Impeachment vote? Sundance explains

Everyone has read that Speaker Pelosi is holding a vote on Thursday to authorize impeachment proceedings against President Trump.  If you are suspicious of the announcement, you should be.  Sundance at ConservativeTreehouse explains what is really going on, and the bottom line is that this vote is intended as a sleight-of-hand.  It intends to create the impression of following the requirement to vote to begin the impeachment process, while actually not voting to authorize – as a Constitutional authorization would give the President and his defense team due process -- to face his accusers, subpoena their own witnesses, cross-examine witnesses, and so on. Here’s Sundance getting into the weeds:

The rules for an “impeachment investigation” would provide rights for the minority and also rights for the Executive branch.

So instead of having a House vote to authorize an impeachment investigation, with subsequent rights for the minority; they are having a House vote to affirm the “impeachment inquiry” with an entirely different set of House rules that do not include rights for the minority.
. . .
Lawfare is hoping that through this Thursday vote scheme they will be able to twist the legal process into providing their House inquiry judicial enforcement authority, or punishment possible for the executive not complying with a House committee subpoena.
. . .
Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and Lawfare are attempting to create “judicial enforcement authority” without having an actual and constitutional vote to authorize an official “impeachment investigation”.   That’s what this Thursday House resolution is all about.

The Thursday House resolution is intended to authorize and validate the pre-existing Pelosi “impeachment inquiry”, and then expand the authority within the rules to create the impression of a full House impeachment investigation; without actually having a House  “impeachment investigation vote”…. because that would open-up rights to the minority and rights to the executive.
. . .

Pelosi et al have the full support of the complicit media to promote this charade.  Read the whole thing here.
