Vaccination passports: gateway to the police state

Matthew Vadum just published “Vaccination Passports: The Cornerstone of a Totalitarian State: Ushering China’s Social Credit System into America” at FrontPageMag.  Below is part of his report:

Vaccination passports, like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want everyone to be forced to carry, are profoundly un-American.

This data-driven authoritarianism, if it comes to pass, will wash away what remains of the rule of law and the Constitution, and annihilate the American way of life.

First, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) inflicted their possibly lab-designed Wuhan Virus on America, and now we get their Social Credit System, their totalitarian digital architecture for society as well.

America’s placeholder president, the Communist Chinese ventriloquist’s dummy who fantasizes about becoming the new Franklin Delano Roosevelt, wants these vaccination passports badly.

POTUS 46* signed Executive Order 13998 on January 21 directing government agencies to “assess the feasibility of linking COVID-19 vaccination to International Certificates of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) and producing electronic versions of ICVPs.”

The Biden-Harris administration is now working on a “vaccine passport” for Americans to carry to prove they have received a vaccination against the novel coronavirus, according to the Washington Post.

VDH: Radical new rules for post-America

At American Greatness, Victor Davis Hanson identifies ten ways in which America is changing, “maybe permanently.” Below are his “rules” summarized as bullet points.  Click on the link to read his full article;  he elaborates on each rule, and it’s not a pretty picture.

1) Money is a construct. It can be created from thin air. Annual deficits and aggregate national debt no longer matter much.

2) Laws are not necessarily binding anymore.

3) Racialism is now acceptable.

4) The immigrant is mostly preferable to the citizen.

5) Most Americans should be treated as we would treat little children.

6) Hypocrisy is passé. Virtue-signaling is alive.

7) Ignoring or perpetuating homelessness is preferable to ending it.

8) McCarthyism is good.

9) Ignorance is preferable to knowledge.

10) Wokeness is the new religion, growing faster and larger than Christianity itself.

VDH concludes:

Americans privately fear these rules, while publicly appearing to accept them.

They still could be transitory and invite a reaction. Or they are already near-permanent and institutionalized.

The answer determines whether a constitutional republic continues as once envisioned, or warps into something never imagined by those who created it

VDH is an historian and scholar -- hardly a rabble-rouser.  For his full take on these scary rules, click here.

More reasons to not play ball

Kaylyn Hlavaty at WEWS TV has more bad news:

In a long list of what fans can expect at Progressive Field for the 2021 season, the Cleveland Indians announced it will not allow fans into Progressive Field with “headdresses and face paint styled in a way that references or appropriates American Indian cultures and traditions.”

Anyone wearing inappropriate or offensive images, words, dress or face paint must be covered or removed, and failure to do so will constitute grounds for ejection or refusal of admission, the organization stated.

The new policy comes after the announcement from the team last year that professional baseball in Cleveland will be played by a team with a different name.

The Cleveland Indians held discussions in the summer 2020 about the possibility of a name change after years of protests calling the team name and former Chief Wahoo logo “derogatory,” “racist” and “offensive.”

And yes, the list of do’s and don’ts is long – click here.  Sure takes the fun out of it – what little fun there was left.  And no, this is not an April Fool's joke -- wish it were.

When is a vaccine not a vaccine?

JD Rucker at NOQ Report has several words of warning:

Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney:
The Covid vaccines are a national security threat

. . .

Vaccine passports are coming. They’re the loophole around the Constitution through which government can “encourage” people to get the Covid vaccines if they want to be able to operate in the world. While most seem to believe this is just an effort to promote the vaccines and stop Covid-19 from spreading, there are clear scientific indications that things are not necessarily what they seem.

To Lt. General Tom McInerney, this presents a true national security threat. This is a new revelation for the General based on meetings he has had in the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, he did not receive this information until after he had already taken the first jab.

“I’ve already had one shot, and last week I was going to get my second shot,” he told me on the latest episode of NOQ Report. “I had a call from a doctor who advised me not to get that.”

Like the General, many of us have taken a personal approach to the vaccines. I’m not an “anti-vaxxer” per se, but I do believe wholeheartedly in two aspects of vaccinations. First, I believe in transparency and thorough testing, neither of which have been associated with the rushed vaccines that are now in circulation despite none of them receiving FDA approval. The second thing I believe about vaccines is that they need to be personal choices. Nobody should be compelled in any way, whether through government or private company mandates, to take any particular vaccine.

. . .

One important piece of information that needs to get out there is that these vaccines are not technically vaccines. They are experimental pseudo-vaccines that do not operate with dead or dormant components of the target coronavirus.

. . .

The doctors that he has been conferring with gave him four points they asked him to make through the course of the various interviews that he does:

  1. Make Covid-19 vaccines purely voluntary and a personal, private medical decision
  2. Allow Covid-19 Prophylactic treatments to be more readily available
  3. Provide early multi-drug treatments for acute Covid-19 in high-risk patients and those who present severe symptoms
  4. Track among the military Covid-19 cases that recovered and consider antibody and t-cell direct testing, then operate with Covid-recovered patients

. . .

This is why it’s so important for cognizant Americans to speak out now about the vaccine passports as well as the other radical control mechanisms being put into place. We are at a precipice. It wouldn’t take a whole lot to push this nation over the edge and into a police state where government takes the reins over every aspect of our lives.

Mark Steyn on Cancel Culture

Here’s the conclusion of another excellent column from Mark Steyn:

Going along to get along is killing our society, and the one tiny act that anyone with a modicum of self-respect can perform is refusing to participate. For example, the American Medical Association could try butching up to the standards of nineteen-year-old Elizabeth Heverin of Aberdeen University. Following a campaign led by overseas students to ban the British military from campus, Miss Heverin said:

If the British military makes them feel uncomfortable, why did they come to a British uni?

Then she added, for good measure:

Rule, Britannia!

Young Miss Heverin was promptly banned from all Students Association premises for "discriminatory or racist language", and kicked out of the Politics and International Relations Society for "having a right-wing bias". It's the instant, vicious pettiness of these vile twerps that impresses.

Yet, since the "controversy" broke, a nineteen-year-old student has held firm-ish - or, anyway, more firm than the editor of JAMA or the director of the Royal Botanical Gardens or the chiefs of US Special Operations Command.

And so it spreads . . . from the faculty lounge to the botanical gardens to the general staff to the surgeon in your operating room and the pilot of your plane. Some years ago I wrote:

The dwindling number of sane people in the western world vaguely assume that the politically correct celebrate-diversity nonsense is confined to our increasingly worthless universities or NPR panel discussions. But not so. It's burrowed its way into everything, and is slowly but remorselessly moronizing even vital areas of life.

And some years before that - after a great man, Sir Tim Hunt, had his career vaporized by an utter fraud called Connie St Louis:

So we lose a superb Nobel scientist but keep a third-rate lying mediocrity. My problem with all this is that, increasingly, key levers of society are being ceded to the irredeemably stupid and mendacious, who seem to be the only ones capable of navigating the rocks and rapids of political correctness. One has the uneasy feeling that similar scenarios are playing out every day around the western world. How long before the planes start dropping out of the sky?

Not long now.
