For months, Julie Kelly at American Greatness has been
digging and digging into the arrest and detention without due process of
protesters at the Capitol on January 6.
It’s worse than we thought. Much
worse. Here’s a brief extract from Ms. Kelly's column yesterday:
. . . [Ryan] Nichols’ account is detailed
in an appalling new court filing that confirms what American Greatness has
reported for months: on January 6, D.C. Metro and Capitol police assaulted
nonviolent protesters with explosive devices, rubber bullets, tear gas, and in
some cases, their own fists and batons. A tunnel on the lower west side of the Capitol
building became a dangerous—and, likely for at least one protester,
deadly—battle scene as police viciously attacked American citizens on the
“hallowed” grounds of the U.S. Congress.
Nichols, of Texas, has been behind
bars since his January 18 arrest; he sits in the D.C. jail specifically used to
house January 6 detainees, charged along with Harkrider with multiple offenses
including assault of a police officer, civil disorder, and unlawful possession
of pepper spray.
So, what on Earth turned two decorated
veterans with a history of helping people in crisis into “insurrectionists” who
attacked police officers? It was what they saw when they approached the tunnel
around 3 p.m. on January 6. “They hear people screaming in pain and crying for
help—women and old men are bloodied and injured,” McBride wrote in a motion seeking
Nichols’ release. “Training and instincts kick in and they head to the tunnel,
wondering if an accident had happened and if other people were even more
seriously injured.”
McBride viewed three hours of
surveillance video captured by Capitol security camera—the extensive system
captured at least 14,000 hours of footage that the Justice Department and
Capitol police are desperate to keep away from public view—and described for
the first time what happened inside the tunnel where a combination of D.C. and
Capitol police, ostensibly, were stationed to prevent protesters from entering
the building:
“[Just] after 4:00 pm, Ryan is sprayed
multiple times by an officer standing on a ledge in the tunnel,” McBride wrote
in a November 1 filing. “He is also separated from a woman who stood next to
Ryan at different times at the Western Terrace. She was middle aged and nice.
Ryan promised to keep an eye on her. The woman was wearing a red shirt and a
MAGA hat. Shortly thereafter, officers begin terrorizing people in and around
the tunnel. People are screaming and getting crushed. There is a pile of human
beings stacked on top of each other at the tunnel entrance. People are trapped
and there is nowhere to go.”
McBride focused on the conduct of
one officer in particular, with badge number L359 and wearing a white shirt.
The unidentified officer begins “to beat a man for no apparent reason . . .
[and] beats the man so badly that the man crawls over to the woman with the
MAGA hat.” . . .
Much more here. One reader
comment suggested printing out the column and sending it to your representative
in the House to ask what he/she can do.

No, Joe, We’re Not Better Off
The Biden administration keeps lying
about how bad things were a year ago.
Douglas Andrews at PatriotPost starts off with a whopper of a statement by White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain:
“Things are a lot better in this
country than they were a year ago.”
Let that sentence sink in. That was
Joe Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain, in what has to be the most surreal
string of words ever uttered by
a guy whose boss is polling at
38%. . . .
Klain’s straight man was CNN’s
increasingly malleable Jake Tapper, a once-proud lefty who too often bows to
his network and his audience and just sort of sits there looking like a guy
with a fishbone caught in his throat. On this day, though, Tapper pressed his
guest about the mess he’d helped create: “So, how do you . . . fix this?”
Tapper asked. “Obviously, I cover you guys every day. You do this every day.
And you are talking about the economy. You are talking about coronavirus, but
there’s obviously some sort of disconnect here.”
And in fairness to Klain, he
qualified the remark above by limiting it to COVID and the economy. Still, who
thinks his statement rings true even when it’s so narrowly tailored?
Not us, certainly, nor Oliver North
or David Goetsch, who today revisited the
question posed by Ronald Reagan to Jimmy Carter during their lone debate of the
1980 presidential campaign: “Are you better off today than you were four years
ago?”

Oliver North/David Goetsch opinion piece.

National treasure David Horowitz of Freedom Center offered
his remarks at the annual Restoration Weekend conference. This extract is via FrontPageMag:
As we have been saying now for
several years, these enemies of our great country now control the Democrat
Party and all three branches of government and have taken us to a point where
we might be one election away from losing our country altogether.
. . .
A small but not insignificant sign
of our impact was brought home to me the other day. I was on a radio show whose
host happened to be a trustee of one of California’s K-12 school districts. He
told me that at a school board meeting the other week, a protesting parent
shouted out, “David Horowitz says, ‘Don’t call them liberals.’”
The K-12 schools have become the
latest battlegrounds of the left’s efforts to dismantle our country’s
constitutional order and replace it with a socialist tyranny. The weapons of
political war are words. If the other side is calling you “racists,” “white
supremacists,” “insurrectionists,” and “domestic terrorists,” and you are
calling them “liberals” and “progressives,” you are not going to win that war.
That has been a key message of the Center for more than 30 years.
Republicans and conservatives seem
intent on preventing our political enemies from being embarrassed by the
malignant plans they have in store for us. Over the past seventeen years
Democrats have conducted a relentless war against the First Amendment, have
blown up our southern border, and flown unvetted criminals, COVID carriers, and
terrorists to unknown destinations in our country in the middle of the night.
Everyone knows they are doing this to rig future elections and create a
one-party state. Are they ruthless and unprincipled enough to do this? They
have locked up hundreds of individuals arrested in the Capitol on January 6th and
put many of them in solitary confinement for 10 months. The crime these
“insurrectionists” are charged with is “trespassing.” You bet Pelosi and Biden
and their entourage are ruthless.
Don’t call them liberals, and don’t
call them progressives. What is progressive about wanting a re-run of the Third
Reich or Stalin’s Russia? They are fascists. . . .

Dr. Joseph Mercola interviewed Robert F. Kennedy Jr to discuss his book The Real Anthony Fauci; whatever you may have thought of Fauci before, if you read this interview, you’ll despise this man. Reports such as this have resulted in doctors, incl. Joseph Mercola, being de-platformed and censored. Here’s the overview on NOQ Report:
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
- Fauci is the highest-paid federal employee in the U.S., and 68% of his $437,000 a year salary comes from bioweapons research
- Instead of safeguarding public health, Dr. Anthony Fauci turned the National Institutes of Health into an incubator for pharmaceutical products, and essentially sold the entire country to the drug industry
- Fauci has had a hand in creating the vaccine gold rush. In 2000, he met with Bill Gates, who asked to partner with the NIH in an agreement to vaccinate the world with a battery of new vaccines. In 2009, this agreement was rebranded as “The Decade of Vaccines,” the objective of which was to implement mandatory vaccinations for every adult and child on the planet by the year 2020
- One of the darkest stains on Fauci’s career, aside from his role in the COVID pandemic, was his handling of the HIV epidemic. Suppressing the use of repurposed drugs, Fauci zeroed in on AZT, a toxic drug that has killed an estimated 300,000 AIDS patients
- The similarities between the AZT scandal and what’s happening today with the COVID jab and remdesivir are striking. Again, Fauci has suppressed all treatments using inexpensive and nontoxic drugs. U.S. taxpayers have paid for research, while drug companies have raked in the profits, all while having zero liability for injuries and deaths
In this interview, Robert F.
Kennedy Jr., an environmental activist and attorney turned ultimate freedom
fighter, discusses his latest book, “The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global
War on Democracy and Public Health,” which is a must-read if you want to
know more about the behind-the-scenes of this giant fraud. We could talk for
hours and not cover but a fraction of what’s in this book, which Kennedy calls
a “devastating indictment of Tony Fauci.”
In a nutshell, Kennedy describes
how Fauci turned the National Institutes of Health into an incubator for
pharmaceutical products, and essentially sold the entire country to the drug
industry. The book is an incredibly well-referenced record of his history of
decimating human health, and exposes him as a self-serving charlatan.

The Kyle Rittenhouse trial is almost concluded. Perhaps the judge will dismiss the case with prejudice. Perhaps the jury will be able to withstand doxxing and other pressures to convict. JD Rucker at NOQ predicts that the jury will acquit. If the verdict is anything other than a conviction, JD Rucker is sounding the alarm:
Leftists, Media, and Big Tech Are Colluding
to Burn Down Cities After Kyle Rittenhouse is Acquitted
This isn't the case of a common
narrative being circulated. This is collusion that is so blatant, lawsuits need
to be filed.
When Kyle Rittenhouse is acquitted,
many cities will likely experience what we saw last year following the release
of the George Floyd video. It may even be worse this time if the powers-that-be
get their way. But unlike the BLM and Antifa riots that sprung up after the
Floyd video, the riots that will come with Rittenhouse’s acquittal have had
months of planning and coordination.
At the heart of the conspiracy are
mainstream media and Big Tech. They’re doing their part to make sure there’s as
much carnage as possible. Let me break it down briefly before getting into more
details.
The tag-team efforts of mainstream
and social media are crystal clear. We have the CNNs, MSNBCs, and network news
outlets all spreading coordinated lies about the trial. They are painting
Rittenhouse as a murderer; CBS News literally called him that while the trial was
still going which is a blatant obliteration of any remnant of journalistic
standards they may have once had. They are attacking the judge. They are
attacking the defense team. They’re even attacking the prosecutors to create a
scapegoat for why this “murderer” was set free.
Meanwhile, Big Tech is suppressing
the truth. Free Beacon reported that social media companies are
suppressing claims that Rittenhouse is innocent. While mainstream media spread
the lies, Big Tech suppresses the truth. It’s a one-two punch designed to make
the people unaware that the trial was a mockery and clearly demonstrated
Rittenhouse as acting in self-defense.
. . .
One would think that law
enforcement will be prepared for the riots that are coming. Some will be. Others
will not. We will likely see Democrat-run cities burning while Republican-run
cities are able to contain most of the domestic terrorism that is coming. It
isn’t just inefficiency or ineptitude in leftist cities. It’s also the greatly
depleted police forces that are already allowing criminals to rule in Seattle,
Portland, New York City, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and similar cities across
the country.
When Rittenhouse is acquitted,
those cities will almost certainly be overrun with violence and property destruction.
This is by design. It has many benefits for the powers-that-be who want to see
America torn down, replaced by an ugly “utopia” under the Neo-Marxist tenets of
The Great Reset.
Law enforcement has been warned.
Will they act accordingly?
Mr. Rucker’s full article is here.
I don’t agree with every assumption in Mr. Rucker report
(e.g., I don’t agree that officer Derek Chauvin should have been fired after George
Floyd died while in police custody; body
cam transcripts and the medical examiner’s report incl. the toxicology report,
demonstrate that Chauvin was following protocols and that Floyd died of a
drug-induced heart attack).
However, the main point – that if Mr. Rittenhouse is NOT
convicted, there will be blood in the streets -- is why I’m linking to the
report. And downtown Cleveland was on the target list
in May 2020.
