On this Veterans Day,
I Celebrate My Brothers And Sisters in Arms

Today we celebrate Veterans Day, a holiday that honors all American veterans, living or dead, who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.

On the “11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month” in 1918, the Allied nations and Germany agreed to an armistice, ending World War I, which is generally regarded as “the war to end all wars.” It became known as “Armistice Day,” and is commemorated by many countries.

One year later, in Nov. 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared Nov. 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day. On June 4, 1926, Congress passed a resolution that stated, “Whereas it is fitting that the recurring anniversary of this date should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations.” But it wasn’t until 1954 when the 83rd U.S. Congress renamed Armistice Day, striking the word “Armistice” in favor of “Veterans,” and President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the legislation and later issued the first “Veterans Day Proclamation.”

Roman statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero once said, “Poor is the nation that has no heroes, but poorer still is the nation that, having heroes, fails to remember and honor them.” These days, we’re bombarded with ever-changing, media-created heroes. But they pale in comparison to the real American heroes: my fellow men and women of the U.S. armed forces, who took on the duty of protecting our freedoms, our homeland and the defenseless around the world.  

Let us be a nation that remembers and honors all those who have served our country, not just on this Veterans Day, but every day for the heroes they are. 

So from one veteran to all the rest: God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

The Power of the Parallel Economy

 

Our household buys coffee from the COVFEFE because they actively support America First policies, including most recently the defense of Kyle Rittenhouse.  Yesterday, we received an email from them as follows:

Cloward-Piven Plan is happening now

Wayne Allyn Root is a contributor to Townhall.  He’s taken controversial positions in the past, but I personally find his logic and reasoning in this article to be persuasive.

Vaccine Mandate Is Cloward-Piven Plan To Destroy USA and End Capitalism  

Mr. Root starts off:

Back in the 1980s, I was a Columbia University student learning about a plan to destroy America and end capitalism. It was called Cloward-Piven -- named after a Columbia University husband-and-wife professor team. Their insane goal was to turn America into a socialist, communist hellhole.

They planned to do it by overwhelming and collapsing the U.S. economy with massive debt, created by getting as many Americans as possible to depend on welfare, food stamps and unemployment benefits. In the ensuing economic catastrophe and collapse of our country, every business owner would get on their knees to beg government to save them.

At that moment of crisis and chaos, we would become a socialist, communist country.

Don't look now, but it's happening. The communists of Columbia (and every other elitist Ivy League school) have tried for decades to force a majority of Americans to rely on welfare benefits. They failed. But they won't give up. They've modified the plan. It's now a powerful one-two punch.

First, they've opened the borders to let millions of migrants and refugees into this country -- almost all of whom want cradle-to-grave welfare. Also, don't forget they all need free health care for themselves and their kids, and their new babies, and their extended families. That alone could overwhelm the system and collapse the economy. That's before welfare and food stamps. And then there's free public school for all their children and expensive English-as-a-second-language programs that cost billions of dollars but make teachers unions filthy rich.

More hospitalization horrors: this from Australia

We don't want to be over-reacting and scare-mongering, but in Western Australia, there are almost no COVID cases, just new patients overwhelming hospitals. From Sundance at Conservative Treehouse:

Noted by Alex Berenson, something very weird is happening in the state of Western Australia (WA) home to a population of almost 3 million people.  The WA state has been locked down and isolated from the COVID-19 impacts in the eastern states.

There are very few COVID cases in locked-down Western Australia which has allowed them time to prepare for the potential arrival of the virus which includes a massive vaccination effort.  The state has modeled an anticipated arrival of the COVID virus in early 2022, early next year.  However, as the vaccination rates increase, the hospitals are being overwhelmed with new patients and the Premier cannot explain why.

Alex Berernson notes comments made by WA Premier Mark McGowan on October 31st about hospitals being currently overwhelmed. “Our hospitals are under enormous pressure. This is the same in [the rest of Australia]. This has been something no one has ever seen before, the growth in demand in our hospitals, why it is is hard, hard to know… There is huge numbers of people coming through the door, so we’re doing everything we can to try to manage it,” says Premier McGowan.

The issue is apparently worsening.  In an interview yesterday (Wed, Nov 3rd) Premier McGowan announced a massive expansion of hospital capacity due to an existing and undefined current influx in patients that is overwhelming hospital capacity.

COVID-19 was anticipated to arrive next year.  Proactively, mass vaccinations are ongoing.  It is during this period of mass vaccinations when the hospitals are being overwhelmed by new patients.  These hospitalizations have nothing to do with COVID infections.

Obviously something is very wrong:

COVID-19 or any variant therein is non-existent in the Western Australia population.

The Western Australia population is being vaccinated.

The hospitals in Western Australia are now overwhelmed, and not by COVID-19.

What else could the problem be other than the vaccinations causing hospitalizations?
