Tea Party smack down!!

Tea Party Patriots have been uniting around this country to give ObamaCare the smack down. At Senator Claire "Acorn" McCaskill's recent Town Hall Meeting in St.Louis, over 1200 people showed up to a meeting that typically gets 150. Two weeks prior, her staff called the police on the St.Louis TPP who were protesting outside her office.

Listen for the crowds reaction.

But even better is the soldier who gives Mccaskill's staffer some much needed constitutional instruction.

Americans want affordable healthcare, NOT socialized healthcare. Why have they been so desperate to force a vote on this before the recess? One reason, they don't want to come home to crowds like this. Make no doubt that NE Ohio will give our non-representing representatives a tea party welcome.

Socialized Health Care Supporters Get Outnumbered in Obama's OH Visit

In a show of support with the over 50% of their fellow Americans upset with the push for socialized health care, The Cleveland Tea Party Patriots called upon fellow Tea Party Patriots across Ohio to stand together today in this battle to protect our medical freedoms. Like the minutemen of yesteryear, these patriots faced this challenge head on.

Braving heavy rains & torrential downpours, the steadfast Tea Party Patriots in OH, amassed between 600-750 people in Shaker Hts, OH to speak out against this proposed trillion dollar socialized health care be being promoted by President Obama today at Shaker Ht High School.

Members of several like-minded groups, the 9.12 groups from across OH, the Grass Fire Rally Team from Painesville, Heritage Group from Willoughby, joined Tea Party Patriot groups from all over OH and staged a peaceful and responsible protest.

Meeting at Shaker Towne Centre and lining Lee Rd., we were greeted by constant honks and cheers of approval as cars drove through this heavily traveled intersection in what can be considered the backyard of Sen. Sherrod Brown and the front door of Rep. Marcia Fudge (both supporters of the Death care proposals). We were made aware that at least two (2) people that pulled over and joined us.

As “O” hour neared, and after interviews with Channel 3, 5, 8, 19, WTAM 1100 and the local fish wrap – the Cleveland PD, our soaked to the bone fellow Patriots began growing antsy. Curiously enough, the fact that, “WE the people,” vastly outnumbered proponents of socialized health care and ACORN activists (Obama’s Nuts) never made any of their reports or stories. Who’d a thunk it?!? But we do feel the reporters from local Channel 8 & 19 did give us fair coverage. And for this we thank them for being truthful. The event was also picked up by Cavuto and earned a link on Instapundit.

Following a police escort, our .3/4 mile long Patriot Procession marched down Lee Rd, again to the honks & cheers of approval from passing motorists. Proceeding through side streets, we were met with homeowners also expressing their support. These would be the ones that did not have Obama signs in the front yard.

Arriving at the HS, we congregated in a predetermined location worked out with the Shaker PD. This location was selected for security concerns. We did not feel it would be responsible to mix families and seniors with possibly combative Obama supporters. Do I need to even comment on why we did not want to be near ACORN? Confrontation with anyone -- was the last thing we wanted and security of participants was always first and foremost in our planning. Noticing there was merely a handful of death care supporters outside Shaker HS our crowd migrated the front doors where we were obviously kept behind the security line.

Obama and his supporters were not our targeted audience even though some felt they should have been. Think about it… we were there to rally against socialized health care -- why waste our time, energy and efforts on Obama and his death care supporters? They will and routinely do ignore us anyway.

Our target audience was the everyday John & Jane Q. Citizen who are also unhappy about possibly losing the right to choose, paying for the health care for untold millions of illegal immigrants and another trillion dollar booby prize of a plan. We were there to show other Americans that our 1st Amendment rights do exist and that the, Silent Majority – will be Silent No More!

Wtam picks--Ha ha some of the people against us got lumped in with us.

19 news--Look at Ralph Yeah Ralph

Ok here it goes my first blog. You will find out in time that Grammar is not my strong suit. Also not know for winning spelling bee's. I will keep it short just for the sake of not boring you to death.

We did good today. Some might think since they put us in the corner and it was a long walk they might feel discouraged. About the walk I thank you all for making it. It was long and I know it was hard for some Geriatrics Like Ralph. It was hard but they made it.

Some might feel slighted that that they did not see the man himself but we have to remember it is not his mind we trying to change. It is the people that saw us on Lee and the procession over there. My hope is we get fair coverage on the news and so we can reach the masses that see those programs. We need to stick together since divided we fall. I leave you with this.

Big brother really IS listening...

And we were sorta-kinda joking around on one of our weekly National leadership calls about big brother listening. Joke no more my friends.

From Politico.

Amy Kremer of the National Tea Party Patriots sends on the full audio recording of a conference call I wrote about Friday, on which Sen. Jim DeMint said health care reform could be Obama's "Waterloo." The comments have attracted attention, and an attack from President Obama today.

DeMint's full remark -- which can be heard at the very end of this recording (.wav) -- is:

This health care issue is D-Day for freedom in America. If we lose this, we’ll probably have half of our economy in some way controlled by the federal government. We can’t allow that to happen. And on the other side of it, if we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him. And we will show that we can – along with the American people – begin to push those freedom solutions that work in every area of our society.

The conference call was led by Kremer and by Rick Scott of Conservatives for Patients Rights.

Obama today addressed DeMint's remarks directly.

“If we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him,” the president quoted DeMint as saying. “Think about that. This isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics. This is about a health care system that is breaking American families, breaking America’s businesses and breaking America’s economy. We can’t afford the politics of delay and defeat."

Guess it's a compliment that we're worthy of a good eavesdrop. Just keep an eye out for the black helicopters..

The Senator Brown field report

Here are some emails I received from people who attended the Health Care protests at Senator Brown's office. Clearly this is another non-representing representative whose staff has been drinking too much of the MSNBC Kool-aid.

People kept their cool.....but (I) some expressed our anger and outrage for the government stealing our money and stealing the best health care in the world (because of the free market) and the exceptional doctors and medical staff. This associate of Sen. Brown acted as if government was the answer to everything....forgetting the benevolence of doctors and charities.

This associate said that Sen. Brown is not on federal health care benefits. He is probably on his wife's medical coverage. But if the government takes over all health care eventually, you can bet those two will hop right back into the elitist government health care benefits. We danced all over this guy when he handed us a crock.

We mentioned a "referendum" on Senator Brown or any other Senator who votes for this health care "deform" bill.

This associate of Sen. Brown tried to paint us in a corner like we were some fringe group. He obviously does not know that each of us represents thousands of like-minded citizens. Every call, email, letter, represents thousands. We are not just single taxpayers with a gripe. We are U.S.A. patriots who want to save our country and its future. The little twit was a bit condescending and forever presenting the democrat, socialists talking points. So does that mean Sherrod Brown is just Senator to the socialists? Did he or the democrats ever bother to look at the free market alternatives that would not create a government bureaucracy? No.

One man asked repeatedly if Sen. Brown read the Cap and Trade bill. After repeatedly asking that question, the Brown associate could only answer that his aides read it.

Also, we discussed Cap and Trade issues, the Stimulus Package (I & II) and TARP.....and why government keeps punishing businesses and overtaxing and overburdening citizens through all the hidden taxes that get passed on to us. We want Stimulus I to be repealed.

And another..

A large number (30 or so) went into Brown’s office to express our thoughts and to hear what Brown had to say. The 5 min conversation developed into a 1 and ½ hour discussion. A strong message was delivered. The “one thing” that came out of that meeting for me was that Brown is representing a constituency that does not include us.

Senator Brown is part of the committee creating the draft healthcare plan. The current plan is available online. It includes a government insurance provision but individuals will be able to keep their insurance (temporarily). Call his office, be relentless, get your friends to call, educate the public.

The most significant thing to me was the large number of average folks passing through the lobby at the Galleria. They see us with signs and knew we were not happy campers. Many had NO clue. Some made negative comments. Most were in another world. It made me think about pre-Hitler Germans that were just going through life with out any awareness of the terrible future they had. My view is that if things continue down this path were will see a future that will shock us. Many of those who think we are silly today will wish they had gotten involved only to find out it is too late. Very strange time we are living in.

Well well. It looks like we'll be making more visits until they start to "get it".

Health Care Tea Party After-Action Report

As they are still coming in, I have not seen the totals for the nationwide numbers, but if OH was any indication, but I am overly confident this was a smashing success. Now we will have to wait to see how effective it was, and I believe a difference was made. Here is a post at American Power highlighting some of the events at the nationwide Tea Party Patriot Health Care rallys.

On the Cleveland front, Patriot Brian manned the Kucinich office, Diana, head of the Cleveland 9.12 group and CTPP supporter, lead up the efforts at Sherrod Browns office for us. I was at the sleeper's office - Marcia Fudge. I call Fudge a sleeper as many people are not yet familiar with her. Fudge will make the late Stephanie Tubbs-Jones look like a conservative. This woman is driven by entitlement type of thinking and race-driven politics.

On to the report...

From Brian at the Kookcinich location;
Where to begin? Our group was lively and about 80 strong.

Very interesting to see the reactions of the cars passing by on busy Detroit Avenue. Reactions ranged from wild horn honking and raised fists of defiant support, to ambivilence, to confusion, with a very few hostiles.

The Kucinich staffers were caught entirely off guard. They did come out to speak with us, making every effort to be good soldiers for their boss. They listened, occassionally responded, asked for our individual names and specific questions (this did not play well with some). At one point, one of the staffers wondered out loud if we had been paid by outside interests to show up for an hour. This elicited the indigant response you imagined it would and showed us all that these libs just don't get it. We are here, we're for real, and we're not going anywhere. I think they now have a sense of that where they did not a few short hours ago.

I did give them the List Of Questions from Teaparty.org and they promised a reply. Uh-Huh........riiiiiiiiiight.

We did what we set out to do. Now we need to follow up and follow through.

I have been going to tea parties from their inception. There was a real undercurrent of anger at this one. I think people understand that they are tightening the screws and that there is urgency in all of this. We were, of course, civil but one has to wonder how long that will last.

I want to ask these folks, "What makes you think that the hard-working among us are going to sit by while you redistribute wealth as you see fit? What makes you think we won't push back? Do you really think you can govern without the support of the industrious?"

Anyway, we did our jobs and can't wait to do it again.

Brian... and it was a job done well!

From Diana on the Sherrod Brown location;

Our protest exceeded my every expectation. I anticipated maybe 10 - based on the sickly number of RSVP's. But there were over 30 of us, and I don't know how many more, because some contingent went straight up to Brown's office, while the other 30 were on the sidewalk. TV8 Fox showed up.

At about 12:45 we went up to Brown's office, and it's a good thing I had called the office the day before. It got our protest signs past the security lady who was presiding over her petty fiefdom and expedited our passage into the elevators. Brad, a 26-year old staffer, met with all 30 of us in the conference room. I gave him the questionnaire and the press release on the bill removing Congress's exemption from national health care. Brad the Brat was unprepared for the level of anger, articulately expressed by most of the citizenry, and was pretty condescending (even so, I wrote him a thank you, as we are supposed to be the grown-ups).

My report on the 9.12 page does not quite reflect what we thought of him - but it's a semi-public record. Brad could not get it through his head that government health care = rationed health care. He continues to insist that the Senator opposed rationed care. Well, that's what we are up against. This group challenged him effectively, and then he just got snarky.

What I got from the meeting - which lasted over an hour, was (1) Brown doesn't care what his constituents want, his office just goes through the motions (2) he might be persuaded for whatever reason to vote no on cap and trade, even though he is 100% wrong on the causes of climate cycles. (3) He's a lost cause on healthcare.

Even though Brown appears to be a clueless cad, tries protecting himself from the public with a paid storm trooper and his office is staffed by a little snot-nosed, snarky, not so thrilled-spitless staffer paid for with our tax dollars -- Diana's & the others efforts at this location -- was surely NOT a lost cause!

My report from the discreetly hidden offices of Rep. Marcia Fudge...
Upon arriving, we went in Fudges office, introduced ourselves and asked if Rep. Fudge was available. The aide stated Fudge was at the Wolstein Center for a seminar. We then handed him the TPP Health Care quiz for Fudges with the instructions one where she could forward her answers and then kindly asked if would like to join us.

At Fudges office we had 17 the whole time and then a few people stopped by during lunch and a couple even pulled over and joined us. We even had a Bedford Councilman (a registered Democrat) come out and join us. All together we had about 20-25 people show up through the hour. Shortly after we started, the horns started honking in support of our efforts.

During the time we were there, we had several people stop, and then voice their support after learning what we were doing. Some even stuck around and joined us. One gentleman left work after a fellow worker told him about the protest. He said he loved it and had to come and make sure it was true!

The manager at the Citizens Bank next to Fudge's office came out and stated that we were hurting her business by protesting against Fudge. ( I wonder if they got bail out money Though she was dealt with kindly, she was told socialized health care would hurt her bank much more than our protest. Funny that as the bank employees were going for lunch, most gave us a thumbs up and a acknowledging nod of approval.

For the District Fudge represents, I am thrilled with the turn out we had. In fact, I am happier than Obama would be at a Saul Alinsky book club meeting or a Rev. Wright sermon. This S/E area of Cleveland is a democrat stronghold. I really thought we would only get maybe 3 or 4 other people.

For those curious about the content of the Tea Party Patriot Health Care quiz delivered to these tormented electors, you can read it here. Kookcinich, Brown & Fudge were asked to submit their answers back to us no later than Tuesday July 21. They were informed that the answers will be made public. They were informed "no comment" is unacceptable and/or failure to reply would indicate a "refusal to answer."

NOW WHAT?
Now we pick up the phones and work on the Blue Dog Democrats. I called them yesterday and the voicemails of all but one were full. That means we need to call them again, and again and again. We need to fill their voice mails up every day. This will only take about 5-10 minutes of your time.

There are eight “Blue Dog Democrats” who sit on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. If these eight Democrats do not support the terrible House version of the health care bill, we may be able to stop it.
It is CRITICAL to contact them TODAY and make your voice heard.

In another twist, we aks you to also contact your congressperson and urge them to put our money where their health is. Ask your congress critter to support HRes. 615.
This resolution states that, "Members who vote in favor of the establishment of a public, Federal Government run health insurance option are urged to forgo their right to participate in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) and agree to enroll under that public option."
