New York Primary math

art credit: ddrichswier.com

In case you missed it, here’s the bottom line from elections.ap  on the GOP race for the nomination:

Donald Trump is now the only Republican candidate with any chance of clinching the nomination before the convention.

Ted Cruz was mathematically eliminated Tuesday after Trump's big win in the New York primary.

Trump won at least 89 of the 95 delegates at stake. John Kasich won at least three and Cruz was in danger of being shut out.

There aren't enough delegates left in future contests for either Cruz or Kasich to reach the 1,237 delegates needed to win the GOP nomination. Their only hope is to block Trump and force a contested convention.

The AP delegate count:
Trump: 845.
Cruz: 559.
Kasich: 147.

Is Tea Party Patriots going to continue to endorse Ted Cruz, whose only shot at the nomination is to somehow influence the first vote at the convention, whether by dishonesty or outright theft? (I don’t think Cruz would stand a chance in a contested convention; he’d be thrown over in favor of other more “electable” candidates. Romney? Ryan? More of the same ole same ole…)

Help end that special Obamacare exemption.

For the 60-second ad being run across the country, go here (scroll down; it’s on the left-hand side). For more info, go to Sen David Vitter's website here
Mark your calendar for Weds., June 17 at noon. Find the office of your representative at this map. Plan to visit or call.

It’s Not Just Tactics, Mr. Speaker
By Jenny Beth Martin
7:27 PM 01/25/2015
“The issue with the Tea Party isn’t one of strategy. It’s not one of different vision … It’s a disagreement over tactics, from time to time,” said Speaker of the House John Boehner, on 60 Minutes Sunday night.
More than a year ago, Speaker Boehner took serious offense when conservative groups criticized a budget deal he favored. They had “lost all credibility . . . I don’t care what they do.” So irrelevant is the Tea Party movement that the Speaker took to 60 Minutes to complain about its criticism of him Sunday night.
The Speaker trivializes the differences that led to the biggest intraparty rebellion against a sitting Speaker since the Civil War. His first problem isn’t with outside groups, it’s his own GOP colleagues in the House. When one out of every ten takes the extraordinary step of standing before his colleagues and calling out the name of someone else for his job, he should realize he’s got a problem.
As for us, our opposition to his leadership centers on our belief that we do NOT, in fact, share visions and strategies.
For example, we oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants because we believe it would not be fair to the millions waiting in line to get into America legally, nor to the millions who already arrived legally after waiting in line. Amnesty rewards lawbreaking, and only serves to incentivize further lawbreaking.
The Speaker, on the other hand, dances to the tune of the Chamber of Commerce, whose members and supporters want cheaper labor, and are, consequently, major proponents of the kind of comprehensive amnesty legislation that passed the Senate in 2013 and which the Speaker clearly wanted to put on the floor of the House last year before Dave Brat’s stunning upset of the former Majority Leader put the kibosh on those plans.
Moreover, we seek a federal government that is actually smaller than the one we have now, not merely one that is smaller than the one Barack Obama would prefer. We note with disdain the Speaker’s willingness to sign off on budget and debt ceiling increase “deals” that appear to have been negotiated by Popeye’s J. Wellington Wimpy — he will gladly give the president a spending/debt ceiling increase now, in exchange for the promise of spending cuts to come Tuesday. And when Tuesday arrives, somehow the spending cuts never materialize.
Similarly, we seek the repeal of Obamacare because we believe it tramples the fundamental liberties guaranteed us by our Constitution, destroys patient choice, degrades the quality of health care delivered, increases costs, and will ultimately break the bank. The Speaker, on the other hand, seems perfectly content to tinker at the margins (1099 repeal? Medical device tax repeal?) secure in the knowledge that many of his major funders — the health insurance and pharmaceutical companies who support Obamacare because of its mandates, which lead to a massively growing client base, and, hence, increased profits — don’t actually want him to fight to repeal the legislation.
Here’s a test of the Speaker’s assertion that our differences are merely differences in degree, not kind: Why has he refused to lead his GOP Conference to vote in favor of the bill introduced by his colleague Ron DeSantis of Florida, which seeks to overturn the August 2013 OPM [Office of Personnel Management] ruling granting generous employer subsidies to Members of Congress and their staffs for the purchase of health insurance through the Obamacare exchanges, in clear violation of the law? That legislation is a fundamental part of a strategy designed to raise the temperature inside the offices of the Democrat Members of Congress whose votes are needed to build the necessary majorities for repeal in both House and Senate; yet, given multiple opportunities to put the bill on the floor, he has refused to do so.
Finally, I would note one other difference with the Speaker’s view, specifically regarding his assertion that the Tea Party’s opposition is manufactured for fundraising purposes: Every dollar we raise is contributed voluntarily, by donors whose only interest is seeking to influence their government to tax less, spend less, and stop running up a massive debt. They seek little from the government other than to be left alone, and we have nothing to offer them other than our promise that we will use the resources they contribute to do the best job we can to achieve our shared vision of greater personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future.

Ohio One of Twenty-four States to Join Lawsuit

PRESS RELEASE
December 12, 2014
For Immediate Release
Contact: Arzella Melnyk - Coordinator
440-256-1446

Plain and Simple - It's the LawOhio One of Twenty-four States to Join Lawsuit

Lake County, Ohio - With the Constitution being trampled, Governors and Attorney Generals from twenty-four states have joined in filing a lawsuit against the current administration.

"As an Ohio citizen, I am glad to see Ohio has joined in the fight," stated Arzella Melnyk of the Grassroots Rally Team of Ohio. "As the open border/amnesty groups complain, and are trying to urge Governor Kasich to withdraw, they need to read the lawsuit which states 'This lawsuit is not about immigration. It is about the rule of law, presidential power, and the structural limits of the U.S. Constitution'."

In joining this lawsuit, Attorney General DeWine clearly stated his reasoning when he said his decision had "nothing to do with immigration policy. It has everything to do with preserving our Constitution's separation of powers and combating the current administration's consistent efforts to expand presidential authority..."

"It's really quite simple," stated Marianne Gasiecki, Tea Party Patriots State Co-coordinator (OH), "either you understand and respect the rule of law or you don't. If you don't, how can you call yourself a United States Governor, let alone a President?"

"When the President took an oath to faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States and he is to take care the laws be faithfully executed, but then in turn suspends the immigration laws Congress has in place," stated Julie Aldrich President of Ohio Citizens for Sensible Immigration, " there really is no other option than to take it to the courts.  Our Forefathers wrote the Constitution to provide for a separation of powers so there would not be a power grab by one individual or branch of government."

"While we rarely find ourselves in a position to applaud Mike DeWine - especially when it come to illegal immigration in Ohio, our tri-corner patriot hats are off to him for joining this lawsuit in defense of the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution," added Ralph King, Tea Party Patriots State Co-Coordinator (OH).  "We can only hope Governor Kasich shows the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution this same compassion and respect."

Close races in next week's elections

Art credit: eastbayri.com

From Jenny Beth Martin at Tea Party Patriots:

The situation:

In North Carolina, Republican Thom Tillis is tied with Barack Obama's ally, Kay Hagan, 44-44.
In New Hampshire, Scott Brown is leading liberal Jeanne Shaheen by just 1 point, 48-47.
In Arkansas, Republican Tom Cotton is leading by just a few points, but still hasn't hit 50 percent.
In Iowa, Joni Ernst is leading by a razor-thin 2-point margin, 47-45, but victory is far from guaranteed.

The verdict:

Grassroots action will make or break every single one of these races.
If we can't move conservative voters to the polls on Election Day, Barack Obama will keep the Senate. We can't let that happen.

We must continue supplying our grassroots volunteers with the palm cards, door hangers, voter canvassing software, training, signs, and transportation they need to get the job done. And we need your help to make it happen.

Today's Time for Choosing

Art credit: www.yaf.org

Here’s a message from Tea Party Patriots National Support Team:

It’s easy to listen to Ronald Reagan’s A Time for Choosing speech, delivered October 27, 1964, and marvel at how prescient he was.  What Reagan said half a century ago is just as true today as it was then.  Certainly, his remarks were dated; they were delivered in support of Barry Goldwater’s presidential campaign against Lyndon Johnson.  But replace Kruschev with Putin and warnings of Big Government with Obamacare or amnesty for those who break the law to enter our nation and that speech could just as easily be delivered today as it was 50 years ago.

But the remarkable clarity of Reagan’s speech lies not in his ability to see into the future. It is because he fully understood the destructive nature of modern statist liberalism; its demands on society and the people within it are no different today than they were in earlier times.

Ronald Reagan knew at his core that the precepts of statism are anathema to American constitutional liberty; that personal freedom must be sacrificed in order for it to take hold and that its price is “chains and slavery.”  He understood that statist liberalism, “must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose,” and that without force, no free people would choose to live under it.

This is what Reagan understood. Times have changed as well as the men and women who live in them but statism has not.  As a political dogma, it remains unchanged in its pursuit of subjugating people to the state.  It was this understanding of statist government that guided Reagan a generation after his speech to rightly call the Soviet Union an “evil empire,” and demand that Mikhail Gorbachev “tear down this wall,” which separated East Berliners from liberty.

The threats of statist liberalism have ebbed and flowed in the half century since Reagan gave his speech but today, it is at a high-water mark in America.  The federal government is forcing Obamacare on an unwilling public.  The president is seeking the effective destruction of American sovereignty by erasing our borders through executive amnesty for illegal immigrants. The most prosperous free-market economy in the history of man suffers under the yoke of government regulations and our growing debt poses an existential threat to the republic.

Ronald Reagan articulated a choice for America 50 years ago; whether its citizens would embrace, “the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order,” or succumb to the attractive lies of statism that lead to totalitarianism.

From Gateway Pundit: Occupy The Truth August 18 * In Cleveland

Major News Release from Gateway Pundit:

PRESS RELEASE:

August 4, 2012, 1 p.m. EDT

Tea Party Protest Announced:

Occupy The Truth * August 18th, Cleveland, OH

Director of Hating Breitbart, Andrew Marcus, and Blogger Powerhouse Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit announce a Tea Party Protest “Occupy The Truth” set for August 18thin Cleveland, Ohio

Washington, D.C., August 4, 2012 / — Today, Filmmaker Andrew Marcus, Director of the upcoming documentary Hating Breitbart and Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit announced a Tea Party protest against the dishonest coverage and cover-up by the media of the attempted terrorist bombings planned by members of Occupy Cleveland. The event will be held on August 18th at Willard Park / Freestamp Plaza in Cleveland, Ohio near the site of the planned bombings. A march for truth and justice is planned.

Marcus explains, “On May 1st, 2012, the FBI announced that members of Occupy Cleveland were arrested for attempting several acts of terrorism, including the detonation of what they thought was an explosive device in an effort to destroy the Cuyahoga Valley bridge, as well as an attack on the Federal Reserve Bank. And yet when the Mainstream Media reported on this planned act of domestic terrorism, they whitewashed both the severity of the charges and the open links to Occupy, a movement endorsed by many in the Democrat party. This planned act of violence should not be parsed by the media for the sake of politics. Americans should be able to trust that when their lives are at stake, safety trumps politics. This is yet another example of the media’s shocking politicization and malpractice. This is too important to be pushed aside. We’re not going to let them get away with it any more.”

Hoft expands, “ Because the main story came from the AP, and that version went out of its way to hide the truth about the motivations and blatant connections of these alleged terrorists, the false narrative was spread to a myriad of publications. This is an injustice to the truth and an insult. How many people must die before they report the truth about this dangerous far left group.”

The announcement came, by no accident, at the Americans for Prosperity’s 6th Annual Defending the American Dream Summit panel, led by Marcus, Hoft and radio host Tony Katz, entitled “Being Breitbart.”

As Andrew Breitbart said, “The media class is the wall we need to climb over in order for our voices to be heard. Once our voices are heard then democracy will happen.”

It’s time for our voices to be heard. Join us on August 18th in Cleveland. We have a special guest who will be there.

Will the GOP Freshmen Take the Lead?

The below Op/Ed piece from TPP Co-Founders, Jenny Beth Martin & Mark Meckler ran in Politico --
House Republican leaders are making bold statements about what the public can expect during their tenure in the majority. In addition to the “backroom deal” tax compromise, last week, through their appointments to chairmanships of the Energy and Commerce and the Appropriations committees, they sent a clear message that despite an electoral victory driven by the tea party movement and fueled by public disgust with incumbents, Washington is back to business as usual.

The large incoming freshman class is filled with tea party representatives. Yet the GOP’s old paradigm leaders are daring this new class to stand for the principles on which it was elected.

By appointing the most liberal possible choice to chair Energy and Commerce, Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), the leaders indicated they are not serious about expanding the nation’s energy-producing capability. Upton, after all, is most recently famous for highly unpopular legislation banning the incandescent light bulb. He is hardly the choice for a nation desperate for energy through an expansion of domestic oil drilling and the relaxation of regulations on nuclear, coal and other energy sources.

When Upton changed his position on the bulb issue during his run for the chairmanship, it made him look like a politician who does not plan to act on principles but on what can help him get reelected.

Do Republicans really believe that the best choice for this important committee chairmanship is a flip-flopping liberal Republican? Stuck in the politics of the past, Republicans went for seniority over principle — and ignored the clearly expressed will of their supporters.

At the apex of the tea party movement is the issue of fiscal responsibility. In what can only be interpreted as a direct affront to the millions of tea partiers who provided much of the fuel that brought them to the majority, Republicans balked at the chance to put a fiscal conservative in charge of the Appropriations Committee.

Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.) was a qualified and proven fiscal conservative, supported by tea partiers nationwide. Yet instead of Kingston, Republicans decided to put the powerful panel under the control of a liberal Republican — one with a seemingly insatiable appetite for pork.

If things stand as they have been announced, Kentucky Rep. Hal Rogers is likely to continue the big-spending, pork-barrel ways that lost Republicans the majority four years ago.

The choices were clear, and GOP leaders have chosen the paradigm of the past over the future.

Reversing this situation is up to the freshmen, who are now presented with a distinct choice. House rules allow the full Republican caucus to vote to approve or reject the choices for chairmanships put forth by the Steering Committee. It is now clear that the existing leadership refuses to lead the charge for real reform in Washington.

So what will the freshmen do? They have a mandate from the people to step up and lead. Will they lead by principle? Or will they go along with Speaker-elect John Boehner (R-Ohio), like so many sheep to the slaughter?

Our bet is on the freshmen. Many promising representatives will be sworn into office for the first time in January. With a national army of Tea Party Patriots behind them, and public opinion in their favor, they have the power to force an early showdown with the existing Washington power structure.

This is a defining moment for the freshman class. Will these new members be bullied into accepting committee chairmen who represent the mistakes of the past? Or, as millions of Americans watch and hope, are they really in Washington to resist the status quo and bring government back to the people?

Many Americans stand ready to fight with them. To buck the status quo and make concrete changes in Washington is the choice before them. If they choose wrongly, there may well be more housecleaning in 2012.

Mark Meckler and Jenny Beth Martin are co-founders of the Tea Party Patriots, a national grass-roots organization with more than 3,000 affiliated local groups.

Tea Party Patriot Petition Slams Tax Compromise

TEA PARTY PETITION SLAMS
TAX COMPROMISE AS 'BACKROOM DEAL'

Americans Demand Promised
Transparency, Adherence to 'Pledge to America'

Cleveland - Today, the Tea Party Patriots launched a petition (http://notaxcompromise.com/) to supporters across the country denouncing the tax cut compromise forged in secret by the Obama Administration and Republican Leadership in Congress. The plan was negotiated without the consultation of newly-elected Members of Congress or the American people and violates several components of the Republican's "Pledge to America."

"Our members are outraged as our representatives continue to ignore the message we sent on Election Day," said Ralph King of Cleveland Tea Party Patriots. "We are watching how they vote, and they will be held accountable."

"This 'backroom deal' ignores those who voted for principled leadership on Election Day," said Mark Meckler, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "Americans demand transparency in the legislative process and policies that reflect fiscal responsibility-not secret negotiations and weak compromise."

"Republicans in Congress only have the leverage to negotiate for tax deals because of the support Americans gave them and principled candidates across the country," said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "It is an insult to those who voted them into power to procrastinate on their pledge to honor conservative principles."

Following are excerpts of the
petition:
  • Do not let Congress compromise with President Obama. "The Compromise" is against everything the House Republican Leadership agreed to in the "Pledge to America." This type of behind closed door politics is not what "We the People" voted for in November.
  • "The Deal" was forged in secret, without consultation with the scores of new representatives and senators who campaigned on a much different agenda.
  • "The Deal" like Obamacare, isn't reduced to writing even now. Like Obamacare, we are being told we will have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.
  • "The Deal" revives the death tax, an immoral "vampire tax" that sucks the blood from the dead, ruins family businesses and double taxes savings that were accumulated over a lifetime.
  • "The Deal" spends billions and billions of dollars that the country does not have in order to prevent a tax hike that the country voted against...the GOP bribed the president to follow the will of the people.
  • There are at least five provisions of the Pledge that are violated by "The Deal."

1st Tea Party Patriots High School Club

From the Tea Party Patriots Facebook Page --
This is a piece submitted by Caleb Yee, founder of the first Tea Party Patriots High School Club.  The name of the group is called The A-Team Tea Party Club and they are in Hacienda Heights, CA.  They have done an incredible job. Go to their Facebook Page and check them out.  Leave comments of support..
FaceBook Page:  http://www.facebook.com/ATeamTeaPartyYouth?v=wall&ref=ts
Web Site: http://ateamyouth.org/

From Caleb:

Our story starts off with a group of high school students from Glen. A Wilson High School here in California hoping to not only make a difference in our youth but to make a difference in America . My name is Caleb Yee and I am part of the A-Team. We proud and humbled to say that we are the first high school Tea Party club in the country and our mission is to spread our youth movement across America like wildfire. Our main purpose is to inform, protect, and lead the American youth into a brighter future.

With a committed advisor and a group of conservative students we decided to tackle the problems facing America and show the youth that we need to get involved now in order to change it. We truly wondered on how our future would be like thirty, ten, or even a few years from now. With the gracious encouragement from the Tea Party Patriots and a group of other wonderful supporters across America , we felt confident enough to step into the realm of political activism.

We were clearly tired of students basing the GOP, the Tea Party Movement and conservative ideals off of liberally biased media stereotypes. We know that what is happening to country now would not only affect us, but also our future children and grandchildren as well. We wanted to bring back the cherished idea that American values are important and should be something we are proud of but also return to the ideals the Founding Fathers implemented in the Constitution.

We are still a fresh movement, the first of its kind and we still have a long and exciting journey ahead of us.  Our vision is clear:  We believe in fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets like America was intended to have.  We believe these principles are necessary in order for our country to be strong in the future.

We have a vision, a dream, a goal, and a mission to protect those ideals and the rights of Americans even though we cannot vote as minors. As we took the steps from making our dream become a reality, I realized that if a group of young adults in a Californian public high school can start this movement, then anybody can do the same anywhere in the United States of America.

We do not know yet the conflicts or opposition we may run into sooner or later, but we will carry on with the love, support, dreams, inspiration, and encouragement from Americans. We do not fear any attack from any critics because we know the truth and when you stand in the light of the truth nothing can tear you down.

I send this message out not only to the adults of America , but to the young patriots of America . You are not alone! Take a stand! Stand Up and carry on the torch of truth and courage.  I humbly ask all Americans to help support this movement by informing their children and grandchildren of our country’s history. To encourage them to educate themselves about what needs to be done in order to preserve the work our founding fathers laid out in order to secure our future. Like Ronald Reagan once said, “We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.”

We are waiting. Together we will win because victory is inevitable.Because we know that our states are united by a history being forgotten and a future we shall face together. We are the A-Team, and we send this message so that our nation’s past will always be remembered. For in these memories, we will strive towards Life, Liberty , and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Tea Party Patriots receive $1 million donation to advance "Core Values" NOT Candidates

In an interview with the Washington Times, Tea Party Patriot co-founders, Mark Meckler & Jenny Beth Martin, talk about the $1 million donation we received and how it will be dispersed to the local groups.

From The Washington Times --

Organizers behind one of the largest "tea party" activist groups said Tuesday they have received a $1 million commitment to help grass-roots organizations for the midterm elections and said they were ready to take up President Obama's challenge to offer specifics on fixing the nation's problems.

The Tea Party Patriots — which claims connections to more than 2,800 smaller groups — will receive the money through an anonymous donation and will distribute the money by Oct. 4, backers said.

Though Tea Party Patriots organizers said the grants are to help those smaller groups improve their organizational efforts during the final weeks of the general election, the money cannot be used to endorse a candidate.

The only other restriction is that the money must be used to further the movement's core tenets of limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets.

"This is to help groups on the ground become more efficient, not tell them what to do," Mark Meckler, the Tea Party Patriots' co-founder and national coordinator, said at a news conference at the National Press Club in Washington.

He said the group also is responding to President Obama's call Monday for members of the movement to identify specifically what they would do to help revive the economy and create more jobs.

In a televised town-hall meeting on CNBC on Monday, Mr. Obama acknowledged the legitimate concerns of tea party activists, but added, "The challenge for the tea party movement is to identify specifically what would you do."

Jenny Beth Martin, the Tea Party Patriots' other co-founder and national coordinator, said the group is "happy to take [Mr. Obama] up on that."

Mr. Meckler said the group now has a feature on its website where visitors can post solutions that will be forwarded to the White House. More....

Please click here or on the below picture to submit your ideas on how to fix the economy.

Tea Party Patriots Host 9/12 St. Louis Rally to “Recycle Government” at Arch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tea Party Patriots Host 9/12 St. Louis Rally to
“Recycle Government” at Arch

One of Three Major 9/12 Events Across the Country

(ST LOUIS, MO) August 25, 2010 Thousands of Tea Party Patriots from across the Midwest are expected to converge in St. Louis on September 12, 2010 to rally in support of restoring founding U.S. principles, in protest at the size and scope of government, and in support of current efforts to repeal legislation that they believe has been forced upon them and will not deliver on its promises.

The rally will be held under the Gateway Arch with speakers and music on the Riverfront Stage. Music will begin at noon; speakers to begin at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. KFTK 97.1 FM Talk serves as the official radio sponsor.

“Our theme this year is ‘Recycle Government’ – to repeal ObamaCare, reduce government spending, and restore the principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets that make this nation great and free,” says Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder and national coordinator for Tea Party Patriots, the largest network of voluntarily affiliated tea party and 9/12 groups in the country.

One of those groups, the St. Louis Tea Party, is a co-sponsor of the event. “We’re thrilled to welcome tea partiers from across the nation to St. Louis, the very heartland of America. St. Louis supports the Tea Party Patriots and looks forward to welcoming grassroots groups from all over to the event,” says Dana Loesch. Loesch and Bill Hennessy are founders of the St. Louis Tea Party.

The “9/12” rally, as its come to be known, first took place on 9/12/2009. More than 850,000 people converged on Washington, D.C. to protest out of control government spending, the erosion of personal liberties, and the bailouts of troubled industries. This year, the “9/12” rally will be held in St. Louis and Sacramento, CA in addition to Washington, D.C.

St. Louis participants will hear music from country music legend Sammy Kershaw; former American Idol contestant Krista Branch; Neil E. Boyd, winner of America’s Got Talent and St. Louis diva Kim Massie. Speakers will include US Congressional Representative Steve King, radio and Internet personalities, and grassroots organizers from Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Maine, Georgia, and Washington.

NAACP, CAIR & the Tea Parties

Over the past week many of us have heard or read about how the NAACP has passed a resolution to be adopted as policy by their Board of Directors in October. The basis of this resolution stems from the alleged actions of a few, a small handful of signs at rallies and what they, the NAACP, perceive as a racist element within the Tea Party movement as a whole.

I believe to date the NAACP has refused to release the entire context of the Resolution, but in part here is a statement from their website....
Missouri Representative Emmanuel Cleaver was spat on during the incident, and so it was particularly appropriate that the resolution was passed as NAACP delegates gathered in Kansas City for our 101st Annual Convention.

The proposed resolution had generated controversy on conservative blogs, where in some cases the language has been misconstrued to imply that the NAACP was condemning the entire Tea Party movement itself as racist. (NAACP)
While the above statement may claim the NAACP is not trying to paint the Tea Party movement itself as racist with a broad brush stroke over the actions of a few -- their intent is clear and the hypocrisy abounds.

The Tea Party Patriots have denounced any racist elements in the Tea Party and is one of the reasons the TPP disassociated itself from the Tea Party Express and their leader Mark Williams early last year.

That being said, we would respectfully request the NAACP to renounce the racist elements from within their own group and groups they associate with. To date, they have refused to do so....
When Kenneth Gladney, a black conservative activist was brutally beaten by SEIU thugs at a protest outside of Rep. Russ Carnahan’s (D-Mo.) office, the NAACP and the liberal left refused to intervene. To the contrary, at an NAACP press conference in St. Louis in May, Gladney was referred to as a “Negro,” an “Uncle Tom,” and someone not worthy of the protection of the NAACP, because he’s working for the “other side.”

The NAACP has defended the thugs who beat Gladney. At the press conference, money was raised for the defense of the “brothers.” (Politico)
With this, we would request the NAACP issue an apology for their racist comments directed at to Mr. Gladney and furthermore, publicly denounce and pass a resolution against the SEIU for executing this thug-like violence against a person exercising his right to free speech.

In addition, we would also request the NAACP to publicly denounce and pass a resolution against the admitted club-wielding Black Panthers using a concerted campaign of intimidation tactics at voting booths and their claims that "white" babies need to be killed. The NAACP should need no reminder of the Civil Rights battles waged against these very type of intimidation tactics used against a person's right to vote. To date, the NAACP has refused to condemn the aforementioned actions and statements of the Black Panthers group.

Even more alarming than the NAACP's silence on the above incidents, is the fact that the NAACP has aligned itself with the Council for Islamic Arab Relations (CAIR). CAIR has recently come out in support of the NAACP resolution against the Tea Party movement with the following statement....

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) echoed concerns by delegates at the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People that the Tea Party has failed to repudiate elements within the movement who use racist or bigoted language.

"If the Tea Party wishes to be taken seriously by mainstream Americans, it must repudiate all those who express or promote extremist, racist or bigoted views while claiming to be affiliated with the movement," said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. (CAIR)

We would respond, if the NAACP wishes to be taken seriously as an American Institution "dedicated to ensuring the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights for all, and to eliminate radical hatred and racial discrimination" as claimed in their mission statement, that they publicly denounce and pass a resolution condemning CAIR for the radical and extremist views espoused by this anti-American group.

Claiming to be a Muslim civil rights organization CAIR has shown through promoting speakers making racist statements such as – down with the Jews, descendants of the apes – and their active support and defense of known terrorist groups they are anything but.

As the NAACP has taken issue and concentrated on the content of a few signs at Tea Parties, one would also like to believe, in attempts to maintain any integrity on their part, the NAACP would also take issue with a racist & anti -American group such as CAIR who has encouraged attacks on U.S. citizens & U.S. Army bases here in the States...

A Council on American-Islamic Relations adviser and regular speaker at its events has suggested Islamic law permits Muslims to attack C-130 military transport planes carrying the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg, N.C., according to a stunning new book exposing Washington-based CAIR's inner workings.

Acceptable targets of jihad, he says, include U.S. military aircraft.

"Islam doesn't permit us to hijack airplanes filled with civilian people," Shakir once told a Muslim audience. However, "If you hijack an airplane filled with the 82nd Airborne, that's something else." (WND)

Viewed as a moderate by many in the MSM, Shakir recently stated in an interview with the New York Times highlighting his pro-jihad book, Muslim Mafia, that he believes the United States should, "become a 'Muslim country' ruled by Islamic law" and that, "if there is a benefit, civilians are a legitimate target."

Responding to an inquiry by Senator John Kyl (R-AZ) of the FBI's relationship with CAIR, FBI Congressional liaison Richard Powers wrote....

“Until we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS, the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner....” (Politico)

Federal prosecutors have also stated & confirmed that CAIR is a front group for Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and has ties to groups involved in financing of other terrorist groups....
  • CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the nation's largest successful terror funding prosecution, U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation.

  • One of those convicted in this prosecution was Ghassan Elashi, the founder of the Texas chapter of CAIR.

  • Numerous CAIR officials have been convicted on terror related charges.

  • CAIR does not believe that Hamas is a terrorist entity, though it has been so designated by the Dept. of State for 14 years.

  • The DC office of CAIR was originally funded by a $5,000 wire transfer from the Hamas funder Holy Land Foundation.

  • The Dept. of Justice is refusing to have any further dealing with the organization, knowing its terror friendliness. (Militant Islam Monitor)

One could easily come to the conclusion that the continued actions of CAIR by far outweigh the showing of some racist signs by a small fringe who may support the Tea Party movement.

As many in the Tea Party movement have denounced the racist signs & any fringe element, the NAACP, as a way of both groups moving forward with constructive dialog, should denounce the same from within their group and those they associate with if their Resolution condemning the Tea Party movement is NOT just a political ploy and a playing of the 'race card' with a marked deck.

Tea Party Patriots Offer Democrats Advice to Halt Free Fall in Polls and Public Support

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Randy Lewis

July 14, 2010

Not passing legislation that Americans oppose is key to gaining support

Washington - Tea Party Patriots, the nation's largest Tea Party organization with more than 2,000 affiliates, today offered the President and the Democratic Party advice on how they can halt their well-documented free-fall in national public opinion polls.

"The Tea Party is growing and our candidates are winning primary contests across the country," said Mark Meckler, Co-Founder and National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "All the Democrats need to do is listen to the American people about their concerns, and embrace the core values of the Tea Party Patriots."

The Core Values of Tea Party Patriots are:

  • Fiscal Responsibility
  • Constitutionally Limited Government
  • Free Markets

"It's not too late for struggling candidates to reverse their fortunes," said Jenny Beth Martin, Co-Founder and National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. "It can be done with just a few simple policy changes that are widely supported by the American people."

Meckler and Martin recommend that Democrats immediately:

Suspend stimulus spending and return the unspent money to the Federal Treasury. The stimulus is not working, in fact, it may be hurting. A better policy would involve lowering taxes and adopting other policies that support private sector hiring and spending. These are well-known job creators that stimulate the economy and prosperity.

Repeal ObamaCare. The American people hate this program. They have figured out that the president didn't tell the truth about people being able to keep their insurance and their doctors. And, they don't want giant government programs with thousands of new bureaucrats dictating their treatments. This program is killing the Democratic Party, and the sooner they ditch it the sooner they can get back into the good graces of the American people. More important, repealing it will save the United States from bankruptcy because ObamaCare is a financial train wreck!

Drop the Arizona lawsuit. Democratic governors met with the President this past week and told him that his lawsuit against Arizona was "toxic." The Democratic governors are right. Arizona is trying to protect its people from violent drug criminals that are invading Arizona across a border that Democrats refuse to patrol and seal. Why should the people of Arizona risk their lives so the President can build the Democratic Party with more illegal voters?

We are confident that the Democratic Party can "feel the love" of the American people once again. All they need to do is quit passing legislation that destroys our economy, grows government and strips the American people of their liberty and freedoms. "It really is just that simple," said Meckler.

Tea Party Patriots is a national grassroots coalition with more than 2,000 locally organized chapters and more than 15 million supporters nationwide. Tea Party Patriots is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting the principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets.
