How to remember September 11, 2001 : Put America First

Twelve years ago today, America was attacked by jihadists. Michelle Malkin puts those twelve years into sad -- and angry -- perspective in "911: America's Unfinished Business": 

Before we head to Syria to avenge the mass murder of their kids, how about we finish avenging ours?

When I say “finish,” of course I really mean “start.” A dozen years after the 9/11 attacks, the trials against the jihadist plotters who incinerated pregnant women, firefighters, grandparents, newlyweds, toddlers and schoolkids on their first-ever plane rides have yet to begin.

Justice not only has been delayed and denied. Justice has been demoted, disowned and deserted. Justice for the 9/11 victims and families isn’t blindfolded. She’s gagged and hogtied. 

The terror-coddling Obama White House squandered precious years trying to shut down Gitmo to appease the peaceniks, transnationalists and Muslim grievance-mongers. President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder arrogantly attempted to shove civilian trials of terrorists — which would have been held a stone’s throw from Ground Zero — down New Yorkers’ throats. Ever since, Team Obama has dragged its feet on military tribunals for the al-Qaida crew. 

If we’re lucky — that’s a big if — the death penalty war crimes trials for KSM and his co-conspirators may begin in the fall of 2014. Maybe. Thanks to cunning delays, made-for-media theatrics and stomach-turning whining by the Gitmo detainees, the journey to hold the 9/11 plotters accountable has become a vulgar joke.

Debra Burlingame, founder of 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America and sister of American Airlines Flight 77 pilot Charles Frank “Chic” Burlingame III (the flight the jihadists crashed into the Pentagon) sounded the alarm and warned the Obama/Holder brigade: “We will fight you all the way.”

That’s the unapologetic vigilance America was supposed to have adopted after the towers fell, the planes crashed and the ashes choked the air. Instead, America’s leaders have allowed jihadists to make a mockery of justice. Muslim Brotherhood radicals waltz freely in and out of the nation’s capital. Border security remains a joke. A functioning entry-exit program for foreign visa-holders is still nonexistent. There still is no systemic, coherent and unapologetic plan to keep Islamic radicals from spreading their hate and endangering Americans in our military, prisons and schools. 

I’m sick of 9/11 anniversary ceremonies by politicians who pay lip service to peace and justice for our country, but refuse to secure them all the way, every day. Remembrance is worthless without resolve. Resolve is useless without action.

This is critically important because leadership is putting the pressure on to get the House to take another meaningless vote.

The Ruling Elite is up to it again! They want you to think they have voted for defunding Obamacare, while actually not doing anything meaningful – once again.

Eric Cantor’s 5 Step plan is described at Breitbart.com in more detail. The gist of it is this:

1. The House will pass a Continuing Resolution that funds Obamacare and, simultaneously, will pass a concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare. The two bills will be ‘enrolled’ as if they were one bill — so one vote passes two bills at the same time. The Clerk of the House will send to the Senate the concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare but includes funding for the rest of the government, and will hold the ‘clean’ continuing resolution at the desk until the Senate votes on the concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare.

2. After passage in the House, the Senate has to have an up/down vote on the concurrent resolution with the defund language before the continuing resolution can move to the Senate. This is yet another show vote. Because there is no price to be paid for voting it down and continuing to fund Obamacare, it has no binding leverage tied to it. It is truly a vote just for appearances.

3. After the Senate has the show vote on defund, the Senate may then pass the “clean” continuing resolution, which will then go to the President for his signature without having to go back to the House of Representatives. This continuing resolution would fund the government and would have no binding impact on defunding Obamacare in any way.

The Ruling Elite thinks another game, trick and lie to the people is acceptable. It is not.

The ruling elite in the House thinks that what we want is recorded votes in the House and Senate.  They are wrong.   What we want is for them to stop funding Obamacare.

Action Alert: Speaker Boehner & House Need to "Go Big" or "Go Home" on Defunding Obamacare

Patriots, the fight to defund Obamacare is here and now!

In the U.S. Senate, Senator Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are doing their job and have been leading the charge in the effort to defund Obamacare in any Continuing Resolution talks with the 'Don't Fund It' campaign.  To sign the 'Don't Fund It' petition and for contact information on which GOP Senators REFUSE to support this initiative, click here.  

To date, Senator Rob Portman has refused to support the Don't Fund It Campaign (Click here for more).

In the GOP led House, under Speaker John Boehner's leadership, one would think, that after every single GOP member campaigned against Obamacare to get elected or reelected and to raise campaign donations, they would be overwhelmingly in support of defunding Obamacare.

Sadly this is not the case!

In response to the Defunding of Obamacare through any Continuing Resolution effort of Rep. Mark Meadows that is being supported by the conservative contingent in the House, Speaker Boehner & Rep. Eric Cantor are trying to undermine this effort....

Majority Leader Eric Cantor is trying to thread the needle with a proposal for the continuing-resolution bill that would force the House and the Senate to vote on defunding Obamacare but not make that a requirement for funding the government going forward.

But the plan is already coming under fire by House conservatives who object that it will not use the threat of a government shutdown as leverage to force Democrats to buckle and stop funding the health-care law.

Under the Cantor plan, the House would vote on two measures, the CR and a resolution that amends the CR to defund Obamacare. Both measures would be brought under a rule that allows the Senate to send just the clean CR to the president, but only after they first vote on whether to defund Obamacare. If the Senate voted against defunding Obamacare, they could then pass the clean CR.

Patriots -- it is time for the games in D.C. to stop! It is time for Speaker Boehner and the GOP Congressman to do their job!

To date, only 3 of the 12 GOP Congressman from Ohio that campaigned against Obamacare are supporting the "real" effort to defund Obamacare in any Continuing Resolution talks.

Washington, DC - Congressman Ron DeSantis (Fla.-6) and U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.) will hold a press conference tomorrow, September 10, to introduce their legislation to eliminate the Obamacare exemptions for Washington. Their legislation will require that all Members of Congress, the President, Vice President, and all political appointees in the Administration purchase their health insurance on the Obamacare Exchange without the help of taxpayer-funded subsidies. This legislation also eliminates the special subsidies for congressional staff if it is greater than what they would receive if they were not employed by a congressional office. DeSantis will be introducing the legislation tomorrow and will also offer it as an amendment to the House Continuing Resolution.

On September 3, Vitter, DeSantis, and a group of lawmakers sent a letter to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), raising concerns about Obamacare exemptions for Members of Congress, congressional staff, the President, Vice President, and political appointees in the Administration. The lawmakers, who include Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), and Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) urged OPM to make certain there are no exemptions in their final rule on Obamacare.

Action Alert: Operation Affect Paul Ryan

Patriots, once again, you are being thrown under the bus.... a bus full of illegal immigrants and it is being driven by Congressman Paul Ryan.

This would be the same Congressman Paul Ryan that looked for Tea Party support of his budget plan, the same Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan that had his campaign staff reach out to Tea Party groups to attend his campaign events and rallies -- the same Paul Ryan that told you how important you were -- when he needed your vote to get elected.

Congressman Ryan is done using you as a 'tool' and no longer needs the Tea Party. Now that he has his new friend Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook to defend him, he is brushing off our calls telling him to stand strong against illegal immigration and the Senate Immigration Reform bill (S. 744)..... The effort to make him switch his position isn’t working: Ryan says he is committed to passing a law to allow 11 million undocumented immigrants to eventually become U.S. citizens.

Ryan, an eight-term congressman, isn’t deterred by the opposition. “I’ve seen it all and I am used to this kind of political activity,” he said in the interview. “It does not surprise me; it doesn’t really affect me.”

That's right Patriots -- Congressman Ryan says he is not affected by your calls, emails, faxes, etc...   Now that he is done needing your support, he is done with needing the inconvenient opinion of the Tea Party.

And in an even bigger slap in the face, at a recent bi-lingual town hall meeting hosted by Congressman Ryan, he doubled down on his commitment for immigration reform to be voted on this year in the House, regardless if they have support or not.....

However, during a bilingual listening session on Friday, Ryan said he wanted all components of immigration reform to be brought up for a floor vote, regardless of whether they ultimately received majority Republican support or not.

“We don’t know if we have a majority until we vote on it,” Ryan explained. He also said he’d been in close consultation with Speaker Boehner about how to proceed with the bill.

Congressman Ryan says he is not deterred by our opposition to his support of weak immigration policies, Congressman Ryan says he is used to this kind of political activity and implies he just brushes it off with indifference and it does not affect him

It is time to put in play Operation Affect Paul Ryan and let's show this phony Tea Party Conservative how our political activity can "affect" him -- let's shut his phone's emails and social media sites down with floods of calls, emails and posts on Facebook and Twitter.

Pro-Immigration Advocates Rally at Speaker Boehner's West Chester Office

Pushing for a red carpet fix to the immigrants here illegally, the pro-amnesty group, Alliance for Citizenship, rallied outside Speaker Boehner's office yesterday....

Dozens of immigration change advocates have delivered petitions to a southwest Ohio district office of U.S. House Speaker John Boehner.

The umbrella group Alliance for Citizenship says it collected hundreds of thousands of petitions urging Boehner to bring up immigration reform for a vote. Supporters of providing a path to citizenship for immigrants in the United States illegally have been trying pressure House Republicans on the issue.

House GOP members have expressed opposition to a Senate immigration overhaul bill that includes eventual access to citizenship for 11 million immigrants already in the country illegally.

Advocates rallied Wednesday outside the office and dropped off stacks of petitions inside. A Boehner spokeswoman noted his recent statement saying House Republicans are “working on a common-sense, step-by-step approach” to fixing the immigration system.

Now is your chance to stand up and speak out against the pro-amnesty efforts!

Fight back against this push for amnesty that will take American jobs and will decrease wages with an influx of low-paid workers! It is time to fight to put America and American citizens first!!!
