Kurt Schlicter asks the unspeakable question. His column at Townhall begins:
Are We Looking At Another Civil War?
Consider the logic of the left and
it’s no wonder that many people are considering the unspeakable – whether
America will devolve into actual violent conflict. . . . The most important
question related to the long decline of America at the hands of a corrupt,
incompetent, and terminally foolish ruling caste that controls our major
institutions is whether we can pull out of this tailspin without bloodshed.
I sure hope so, but the risk is
real and we need to confront it.
The logic of the left accepts
political violence. . . .
So, while the chance of civil
conflict is low, violence is not only possible but it has been used by the left
as a means of making political change in America in the past. And the evidence
is that the left remains ideologically open to using violence in the future to
achieve its goals.
But what would a civil conflict
look like if, heaven forbid, it ever came to pass again? . . .
And Mr. Schlicter outlines some scenarios. Read the full column here.

Strictly speaking, it’s not on the Tea Party agenda, but the latest gun-grab
attempt is on everyone’s radar screen. Don Surber links to the UPI report on legislation working its way through committee
and congress:
"The 20 lawmakers -- 10
Democrats and 10 Republicans -- led by Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., and Sen.
John Cornyn, R-Texas, announced the package they said would 'protect America's
children, keep our schools safe, and reduce the threat of violence across our
country.'"
The compromise is to take your guns
more slowly.
93% of guns used in crime are
illegal. Enforce that law before you dare try to deprive me of my rights.
And guess who is one of the 10 Republicans are supporting the package? Why yes, Ohio Senator Rob Portman (OH-RINO).
RELATED: Brandon Morse on red-flag laws at Red State here. The law sounds reasonable, but it is too easily weaponized (pun intended) for political purposes. And Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb is on board with so-called "common sense gun reforms.

No, I did not watch the prime time telecast of the first January
6 Insurrection “hearing.” Neither did Legal Insurrection’s William A. Jacobson. Here’s part of his rationale:
Inflation Soars to 41-Year High, While Democrats and Mainstream Media Focus On J6 Primetime Show Trial
I stayed true to my promise, "I’m
Not Watching The Made-for-TV J6 Show Trial Narrated By Hoaxers, Liars, and
Leakers," which as I wrote is just a political distraction from the intentional
gutting of the country:
The southern border is effectively
open, we have lost our sovereignty as a nation. Food prices and gas and other
measures of inflation are out of control.
Sure enough, this morning brought an inflation report that shows the damage from Bidenomics. CNBC reports:
. . .
There is no silver lining . . .
Ugh. Professor Jacobson’s column is here. On the brighter side, the ratings weren't all that great. The Washington Free Beacon reports here; see also here.
This blog linked earlier to reports of the Biden administration's intention to cede American sovereignty to the World Health Organization (Pandemic Treaty). Cartoonist A.F. Branco captures the threat, published at Townhall:
Last weekend, when President Trump announced his endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz’s campaign in the Pennsylvania race for Senator, the conservative world gasped in shock. Had Trump made a really bad call? On Townhall, John and Andy Schlafly (sons of the late great Phyllis Schlafly), explain why Trump’s endorsement is sheer “wizardry” -- and one does have to dive into the local politics to understand:
Pro-China Dave McCormick currently
holds a narrow lead in the polls for the open U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
. . . As Philadelphia just became the first major city to reinstate a
mask-wearing requirement indoors, McCormick’s deep ties to the
communist country that brought us Covid are unhelpful.
. . .
His rival, Dr. Mehmet Oz, spoke out
strongly against mask and vaccine mandates last year, and two years ago Oz
helped save lives by promoting hydroxychloroquine. Dr. Oz received a backlash
from liberal public health authorities but courageously spoke the truth they
suppressed.
. . .
Dr. Oz is almost alone among
physician politicians opposing Fauci’s fake science. Last December, Dr.
Oz stated that “Dr. Anthony Fauci has lost the faith and confidence of the
American people.”
The column closes with:
Trump further overcame his critics [at
the recent North Carolina rally] by inviting 26-year-old Rep. Madison Cawthorn
(R-NC) onto the stage after the Republican Establishment shunned and tried to
defeat him for his blunt criticisms. Rep.
Cawthorn nearly stole the show with his inspiring words that concluded with his
standing up from his wheelchair.
“We have so many in the national
party who believe that the key to saving our nation is cheapening our platform
and going after these non-existent middle-ground voters,” Cawthorn
declared. “My
friend, there is no middle ground with Marxists.”
The full column is here. And especially for those who were not happy with President Trump's reliance on Faux Fauci and the the Scarf Lady Deborah Birx, the Oz endorsement provides a counterweight.

Steve Breen cartoon via Townhall
From Randall Martin at Townhall:
On this Veterans Day,
I Celebrate My Brothers And Sisters in Arms
Today we celebrate Veterans Day, a
holiday that honors all American veterans, living or dead, who served their
country honorably during war or peacetime.
On the “11th hour, of the 11th day,
of the 11th month” in 1918, the Allied nations and Germany agreed to an
armistice, ending World War I, which is generally regarded as “the war to end
all wars.” It became known as “Armistice Day,” and is commemorated by many
countries.
One year later, in Nov. 1919,
President Woodrow Wilson declared Nov. 11 as the first commemoration of
Armistice Day. On June 4, 1926, Congress passed a
resolution that stated, “Whereas it is fitting that the recurring
anniversary of this date should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer
and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual
understanding between nations.” But it wasn’t until 1954 when the 83rd U.S.
Congress renamed Armistice Day, striking the word “Armistice” in favor of
“Veterans,” and President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the legislation and later
issued the first “Veterans Day
Proclamation.”
. . .
Roman statesman Marcus Tullius
Cicero once said, “Poor is the nation that has no heroes, but poorer still is
the nation that, having heroes, fails to remember and honor them.” These days,
we’re bombarded with ever-changing, media-created heroes. But they pale in
comparison to the real American heroes: my fellow men and women of the U.S.
armed forces, who took on the duty of protecting our freedoms, our homeland and
the defenseless around the world.
Let us be a nation that remembers
and honors all those who have served our country, not just on this Veterans
Day, but every day for the heroes they are.
So from one veteran to all the rest: God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

Wayne Allyn Root is a contributor to Townhall. He’s taken controversial positions in the
past, but I personally find his logic and reasoning in this article to be
persuasive.
Vaccine Mandate Is Cloward-Piven Plan To Destroy USA and End
Capitalism
Mr. Root starts off:
Back in the 1980s, I was a Columbia
University student learning about a plan to destroy America and end capitalism.
It was called Cloward-Piven -- named after a Columbia University
husband-and-wife professor team. Their insane goal was to turn America into a
socialist, communist hellhole.
They planned to do it by
overwhelming and collapsing the U.S. economy with massive debt, created by
getting as many Americans as possible to depend on welfare, food stamps and
unemployment benefits. In the ensuing economic catastrophe and collapse of our
country, every business owner would get on their knees to beg government to
save them.
At that moment of crisis and chaos,
we would become a socialist, communist country.
Don't look now, but it's happening.
The communists of Columbia (and every other elitist Ivy League school) have
tried for decades to force a majority of Americans to rely on welfare benefits.
They failed. But they won't give up. They've modified the plan. It's now a
powerful one-two punch.
First, they've opened the borders
to let millions of migrants and refugees into this country -- almost all of
whom want cradle-to-grave welfare. Also, don't forget they all need free health
care for themselves and their kids, and their new babies, and their extended
families. That alone could overwhelm the system and collapse the economy.
That's before welfare and food stamps. And then there's free public school for
all their children and expensive English-as-a-second-language programs that
cost billions of dollars but make teachers unions filthy rich.
Open borders is Cloward-Piven strategy updated for 2021.
. . .
Part Deux of Cloward-Piven is the vaccine mandates. . .
Read the full column here. As I said, I have a hard time finding a flaw in his reasoning. More scary stuff.

Derek Hunter at Townhall has thoughts:
The NFL is a private business and
they’re free to commit economic suicide any time and any way they so choose, I
couldn’t care less from that standpoint. But the idea that any organization
that wants my support, and more to the point my money and time, would embrace
the idea that there is such a thing as a “black national anthem” and expect me
to be cool with it, shows I’ve probably waited too long to walk away.
. . .
Now the league that prided itself
on integrating years before baseball is embracing the segregation it rejected
in the past. They’ll now play the national anthem and the “black national
anthem” before each game, as well as badger fans with left-wing political
messages of victimhood and division. I don’t think there’s a big audience for
pampered athletes lecturing their audience about how awful the country, and by
extension they are, while those athletes make more for 3 hours of work on a
Sunday than the people watching on TV do in a year. Maybe I’m wrong, but last
year’s ratings collapse suggests otherwise.
The NFL doesn’t care all that much
because a large percentage of their revenue is through corporate
sponsorship.

We all know die-hard football fans; heck, some conservatives are
die-hard football fans. But if you are passionate about the sport, how do you reconcile that with a passion for the
American National Anthem?

Seth McLaughlin at The Washington Times reports:
Trump-backed Max Miller targets ‘so-called Republican’
in Ohio congressional battle
Rep. Anthony
Gonzalez is akin to a car that has been deemed a lemon.
That’s according to Max Miller, the
Republican who launched a primary challenge against Mr. Gonzalez after
former President Trump called
for the scalps of GOP lawmakers
like Mr. Gonzalez who
supported impeachment following the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Mr. Miller says
voters in Ohio’s 16th Congressional District were sold on the idea that
Mr. Gonzalez would
fight for them in Washington, but have buyer’s remorse after discovering his brand
of politics is out of sync with Trumpism and the MAGA movement.
“I have no other interest in doing
this other than to serve the people of the 16th District and get an ‘America
First’ conservative in Congress and get one who is a so-called Republican out,”
Mr. Miller told
The Washington Times.
The 32-year-old former Trump aide
became more of a household name in February when Mr. Trump gave him his “Complete
and Total Endorsement!” and warned that Mr. Gonzalez does
not represent the “interest” or “heart” of voters in the district.
Mr. Trump is
set to sing the challenger’s praises Saturday at Lorain County Fairgrounds in
Wellington, Ohio, marking his first
campaign-style rally of the 2022 election cycle.
Full report at The Washington Times is here. Previous CTP post
on the Saturday June 26 Trump rally at the Lorain County Fairgrounds is here.
In other news, outgoing Ohio Senator Rob Portman is in the news again. Here's the headline over Matt Vespa’s Townhall
column:
GOP Senators Mobilize
to Stop Largest Gun Confiscation
and Registration Attempt in History
Under Biden
. . . Oh, who are the two Republicans who refused to sign onto this communique? That would be Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH) and Susan Collins (R-ME).

Wayne Allyn Root’s column at Townhall reminds us that safe and effective therapeutics -- such as hydroxychloroquine + zinc + Z-Pac, or ivermectin -- have been marginalized because of politics. Here is a key extract, from the closing paragraphs:
It's time to start asking why
treatments for COVID-19 proven in multiple studies around the world to save
lives are slandered, censored and banned by social media? Who are they to ban
life-saving information? Who are they to label life-saving information as
"medical misinformation"? What's in it for them if thousands die
needlessly? Somebody clearly is getting filthy rich on this scam.
I asked [Dr. Vladimir] Zelenko about it on a
return visit to my show only days ago. He said: "Pre-hospital treatment of
COVID-19 was intentionally suppressed. Life-saving information and medication
was intentionally suppressed. ... Out of 600,000 dead Americans, we could have
saved 510,000. The American people have been brutalized and are the victims of
mass murder and crimes against humanity."
I asked Zelenko for his solution to
this ongoing tragedy. He said, "Number one, immediately endorse
pre-hospital treatment with the Zelenko Protocol, and make it the standard of
care. Number two, we must bring these criminals to justice."
Mr. Root’s full article is here. When you have the opportunity, ask your
doctor about all this. Many doctors
still do not have ready answers.

“It’s Not Over” Cartoon by AF Branco at Townhall
If any of your family or friends are skeptical about election fraud reports, here’s a handy summary of some of the more obvious instances of voter fraud (by John Perazzo at FrontPage):
What follows is a compilation of vital facts that will demonstrate, to anyone interested in following the truth wherever it may lead, that the 2020 presidential election was indeed rife with fraud, and that Joe Biden, if he should in fact be sworn into office next month, will be an illegitimate president from the very start.
The report contains lots of chapter-and-verse and data -- including 93 footnotes with links to sources, should you care to check any stats. Full report is here.
