Ohio's #1 Fake Tea Party Candidate - Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine

With Super Tuesday and voting being tomorrow we wanted to highlight some of the candidates running in these all important Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee (SCC) races. This year there is a big fight for control of the Ohio Republican Party and the future of the party will be set in these races.

Members of the ORP State Central Committee set the policy & platform for the Party. Also included in their duties is the endorsing of candidates and selecting the state party chairman. Each Senate District has 1 male and 1 female SCC member.  (For a list of CTPP members running for ORP State Central Committee, click here.)

The ORP State Central Committee races will allow us to restore some integrity which has been long lacking under the former ORP Chairman Bob Bennett and completely absent under the leadership of current ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine.

As always around election time, even though some like to think the Tea Party is dead, we see candidates falsely claiming to be Tea Party candidates.

The biggest fraud and #1 fake Tea Party candidate for 2012 is none other than Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine himself!

Willing to do everything but sell his own mother to stay in control of the ORP, Chairman Kevin DeWine has resorted to highly unethical behavior to minimize competition for incumbent supporters of his on the ORP State Central Committee.  Chairman DeWine has also spent untold amounts of money to enable his supporters to also inaccurately claim they are Tea Party candidates through mailers and literature drops.

While Chairman DeWine is allowed to spend party money to support endorsed candidates, according to the FEC it shows he is surely not protecting the party money in a fiscally responsible way, in a transparent way and possibly not even in a legal way.  And we can throw in a little cronyism with individuals tied to former Statehouse scandals.

And of course we cannot forget how, through Chairman DeWines ally in the OH Senate, Senator Shannon Jones, introduced the train wreck bill from the start - SB5 / Issue 2 -  with the sole intent on giving the unions a victory in Ohio all in the name of Kevin DeWine keeping his job.

But should this type of behavior be surprising from Chairman DeWine's failed leadership and phony claims of being a Tea Party candidate - absolutely not, it is no different than he acted during the 2010 elections.

Leading up to the 2010 elections, Chairman DeWine arrogantly took all the credit for winning in Ohio and disregarded any Tea Party efforts in the 2010 successes as minimal at best. In fact, Chairman DeWine was anything but a "Tea Party" supporter with his threats and lied filled smears on candidates supported by the Tea Partys in Ohio.

To highlight just a few of the ways ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine embraced the Tea Party he claims to love would be by refusing to acknowledge Tea Party groups requests that an endorsement meeting for candidates not be held on 9/11 out of respect for this most sacred day in our country's history.

And of course we cannot forget the shameful episode of partisan musical chairs in the GOP primaries for statewide races during the 2010 election in which Chairman DeWine was too weak of a chairman to keep his RINO cousin, former US Senator Mike DeWine, in running for Ohio Attorney General.  Angering the Tea Party movement he claims to be a part of, how did Chairman Kevin DeWine react to this outrage? Well.... he called the police on Tea Party groups!  And in another another one of his episodes, Kevin DeWhine described Tea Party members as "liars and noisy distractions".

So using the same description we have for his partisan pal Secretary of State John Husted when he falsely claimed to be a "Tea Party" candidate, we have the same to say about ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine's claims to be a "Tea Party" candidate...  "the closest Kevin DeWine would ever come to being with the Tea Party is that he would have been Captain of the British ship in the Boston Harbor."

For too long, under former ORP Chairman Bob Bennett's tenure and under current ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine, the GOP in this state has dictated to the conservatives of this state what it will do and who will be the GOP candidates. It is time to send ORP Chairman and the ORP State Central Committee a message that it is "We the People" that will dictate to them.

No longer should the personal agendas, partisan vindictiveness, leadership failures and questionable behavior of Chairman Kevin DeWine be allowed to rule the Ohio Republican Party.

Super Tuesday run-up: the GOP candidates

Super Tuesday is just a few days away away. If you are still undecided, or if you want some reference points to either persuade or dissuade a friend, colleague, or relative, I've collected a few background pieces on the four GOP presidential candidates. Candidates are presented in alphabetical order, with links and very brief extracts.

Newt Gingrich @ http://www.newt.org/solutions/

Steve McCann at The American Thinker on Romney, “Newt and the Next-in-Line Problem": “It is clear that in the final analysis, the nomination will come down to Mitt Romney and the anti-establishment candidate; within the present field, the person best suited for the latter role is Newt Gingrich.”

Smart Girl Politics on “Who Is The Real Newt Gingrich?” with a lengthy and critical report on his past actions (this one from 2010): “It seems what he says and what he does are two completely different things.”

Byron York on Gingrich’s ethics violations at The Washington Times: “The bottom line: Gingrich acted properly and violated no laws. There was no tax fraud scheme. Of course, by that time, Gingrich was out of office, widely presumed to be guilty of something, and his career in politics was (seemingly) over.”

Bill Markin at The American Thinker on Newt as a bull in a china shop: “Yes, he's far from perfect, but history is full of flawed characters who have risen to the occasion and done great things. At this point in our history, he may not only be our best hope, but our only hope.”

Ron Paul @ http://www.ronpaul2012.com/ (drop down “Issues” tab)

Jason McNew on “The Case for Ron Paul”: “Ron Paul believes, as the Founders did, that individuals can do a much better job governing their own selves, and should not be ruled over by government.”

Andrew MacCarthy on Paul’s view of The Taliban: “Paul’s claim that the Taliban is just opposed to foreign interference in Afghanistan is patently absurd.”

Spengler (a/k/a David P. Goldman) at PJ Media: Rep. Ron Paul’sdefense of Iran’s nuclear weapons program should surprise no one.”

Mitt Romney @ http://www.electmitt2012.org/about.aspx

NRO’s Andrew McCarthy: “Of course he now says he’d fight torepeal Obamacare, but is Romney really the best candidate to be making that fight? How convincing will he be in decrying wealth redistribution, runaway government spending, and freedom-killing government mandates while he continues championing an overbearing state program that stands as a monument to all those things?”

William Tucker at The American Spectator on “Romney Can Be The Next Reagan”: “I'm hoping Republicans will soon wake up, stop fighting among themselves, and realize that Mitt Romney has the best chance of becoming the nation's next Ronald Reagan.”

Jonah Goldberg on “The Case for Romney” at National Review Online: “Conservatives are extremely reluctant to settle or compromise simply on the say-so of the establishment. For good reasons and bad, Romney seems like a compromise.”

Rick Santorum @ http://www.ricksantorum.com/issues

Michelle Malkin at her website (endorsing Santorum): “Character and honor matter. Santorum has it.”

James Delingpole at The Telegraph: “Rick Santorum is a big government conservative.”

Chuck Norris on Townhall: “Though I commend Santorum for some of his stands since leaving Congress -- for example, his opposing the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the stimulus, the Fannie-Freddie bailout and the auto bailout -- I have a slew of problems with what he did while serving in the U.S. Senate from 1995-2007.”

Stand Up for Chardon! Stop The Westboro Church!

The Westboro Wacko's are at it again!  With the community of Chardon being rocked by the senseless killings of 3 and wounding of 2 innocent students, the Westboro Wacko's want to come disrupt the funeral for one of the slain students.

As a community we must come together and not allow the community of Chardon and most importantly the parents, family and friends of these students to again be victimized by having the funeral of a loved one be disrupted by the hate mongering protests of the Westboro Church.

This is not being done as a protest, this is not a Tea Party event and people will not be there to engage protestors from Westboro Church..  This will just be individuals coming together in a peaceful manner to form a human wall shielding funeral attendees from the despicable acts of the Westboro Church.

Below is from the Facebook Page where this is being organized --  (emphasis added)

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Chardon, OH was changed forever. Pure evil walked into Chardon High School and took the lives of three students, injured two and forever changed the lives of thousands.

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, evil is planning to once again ent...er the Chardon community. This time in the form of a "religious" organization.

The Westboro Baptist Church, located in Topeka, KS, in my opinion, is a hate group. Nothing more, nothing less. The sole purpose of this group is to spread their hate of homosexuality through revolting pickets. They are notorious for picketing military funerals as well.

This group believes that God is punishing America because of our acceptance of homosexuality. They firmly believe that 9/11, Katrina and the Gulf Oil spill are all acts of God. Every time an American soldier is killed, this group rejoices.

Many of you have asked, "What are they planning to do?" Based on previous pickets, some of there more famous signs include, "God Hates Fags", "Thank God for 9/11", "God: USA's Terrorist", "Thank God for IED's" and many others.

I am a firm believer in not saying something, and having it become untrue later. What I can tell you is the facts. The facts are this:

1: The Westboro Baptist Church is celebrating the deaths of Daniel Parmertor, Russell King, Jr. and Demetrius Hewlin. (http://blogs.sparenot.com/)
2: The Westboro Baptist Church has stated they will picket the funeral of the three children taken in the Chardon shooting. Starting with Daniel Parmertor (http://twitter.com/#!/margiejphelps)
3: This group take great joy in every death of an American soldier that is killed. (
http://www.godhatesfags.com/)
4: I have been told by multiple people that they have been spotted in the Chardon area. (Hearsay)
5: If they do arrive, they will use horrible and brutal tactics to have their message spread.
6: This group is lead by people that are EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT. They know the law and know how to use the law.
Let me make one thing very clear. According the the Bill of Rights and a previous Supreme Court decision, the Westboro Baptist Church has every right to picket this funeral. It does not matter if you agree with their message or not. They are protected by the first amendment to the United States Constitution regarding freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.

Guess what? So are we.

The past few days has shown the true nature of the Chardon community and its surrounding communities. This tragedy has shown that we are a community that takes pride in looking out for its own. The Parmertor family is no exception. I promise that I will do everything I can to look after the Parmertor family during this horrible time. I am proud to see the countless people who agree with me.

WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO:Protect the Parmertor family from this horrible and disgusting display of hate.

HOW WE'RE GOING TO DO IT:

1. PEACEFULLY. This is NOT a protest. This is an assembly. We are not here to show our dislike for the Westboro Baptist Church. We are not here to assault the Westboro Baptist Church. We are not here to voice our opinions on members of the Westboro Baptist Church. We are here to do everything we legally can to help the Parmertor family grieve properly, BURY THEIR SON and not have a horrible day made even worse by a group of extremists.

2. LEGALLY. I can guarantee you that some form of law enforcement will be at this funeral. You will be playing into the Westboro Baptist Church's desires if you assault any member of this organization. A lawsuit is their wet dream.

3. In a perfect world, here is how I imagine Saturday going. The Westboro Baptist Church never show's up. If that happens, our goal is complete. The Parmertor family never had to be subjected to this tasteless display. However, if they do appear, I want us to surround the front of Saint Mary's Church. Click Here for Map  We link arms, and DO NOT LET THEM PASS. We are silent the whole time. The venom spewing out of their mouths has no effect on use. We stand united as a strong unit with one goal. Keep these people as far away from the Parmertor family as possible.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:1. Rain. Bring an umbrella.
2. Expect to be called a homosexual slur over 1,000 times.
3. Spit. Lots of it.
4. Shoving and other physical contact from their part.
5. A strong police presence.
6. Media. (Don't be an asshole)
7. People inciting us to use physical violence. (Stay focused)
8. Tears. Lots of them.
9. The Parmertor family being honored as best as possible. Count on that.

According to Twitter, they are planning to arrive at 9am. Assume that means 8am. See you there at 7am. Wear black. Its a funeral after all. Also, try to find other parking than in the church parking lot. Let's try to leave these spots to family and friends of Danny. And above all else, remember why we're there. Not to express our feelings of this senseless group, but to protect the Parmertor family. There's a time and a place for everything. Right now it is time to look after one of our own. God Bless.

Independent Candidate Ed Wade running for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor

In the current race to replace current Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason the only choices residents of Cuyahoga County have are from the same Democrat Party that has run this county into the ground and have let crime - especially within their party ranks -  run rampant.

With the County Sheriff and County Coroner, the two most powerful law enforcement officers of the county, now being appointed -- it is of the utmost importance for the new elected County Prosecutor to have integrity and competence.

With the county corruption trial nearly to an end, we are currently witnessing the end results of what happens when competency, integrity and.or both are lacking in a County Prosecutor.  While justice is supposed to be blind, current County Prosecutor Bill Mason -- was blind to justice.

Ed Wade, an independent candidate for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, is looking for people to assist in gathering signatures to enable him to be on ballot in the General Election this November.

Mr. Wade will be challenging the democrat in November, and most recently ran for Cleveland Municipal Court, during which he was endorsed by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. As an independent candidate, he is working hard to collect the required 4100+ signatures by the end of the month.

Our request is not an endorsement of Mr. Wade, only an endorsement of the political process that will enable the voters of Cuyahoga County to have another choice other than the status quo we have had over the last 20 years.

To make arrangements to have petitions dropped off to you or pick them up, please click here.

Any amount of signatures you can gather will be a great help in giving us a choice this November!

Are you opposed to the Federal Government making medical choices for you?  Join thousands of patriots who share your views on Obamacare. Come to Washington DC and be part of the TPP Road to Repeal Rally.

A majority of Americans view government run health care as a sign of what's to come from big government. More politics, more control and less personal choice.

Recent decisions by the US Department of Health and Human Services show precisely how the government run healthcare will work. The Government will make healthcare decisions based on political consideration over the needs of individuals.

ObamaCare is set to be heard by the Supreme Court of the United States March 26-28.

NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!!!

We need your help to send a strong, clear message to the big government types who are bent on trampling our personal choice and our God-Given and Constitutionally protected freedoms.

This is the first stop on the Road to Repeal. We need your help to win this fight and repeal government run health care!!!!

Patriot groups from across the U.S. are setting up buses to make this historic stand for freedom. To find out more about the Tea Party Patriots Road to Repeal Rally and to find a bus near you please click here.

Buckeye Firearms endorses Ron Lisy (SD 25) for GOP State Central Committee

Candidate for GOP State Central Committee in Senate District 25 and Tea Party member / supporter, Ron Lisy, was recently endorsed by Buckeye Firearms Association.

Buckeye Firearms Association has been leading the charge in protecting our 2nd Amendment rights against attacks by the progressives and liberals who continually assault our God-given and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

From Elect Ron Lisy --

The Buckeye Firearms Association recently made endorsements in several races, including Ohio Republican State Central Committeeman for the 25th Senate District.

According to Buckeye Firearms the choice in that race is former Bedford City Councilman Ron Lisy.

Lisy received a "A" Rating from Buckeye Firearms, a rating that is reserved for candidates with a proven track record of support for Second Amendment rights.

Normally granted only to incumbents, the Buckeye Firearms endorsement committee believed Ron Lisy's track record on Second Amendment rights warranted an "A"  rating.
