ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine calls Tea Parties in OH "Liars & Noisy Distractions"

The continued battle between the Tea Party/9.12 movement and the GOP leadership in OH is continuing to heat up. The arrogance & poor leadership in the Ohio Republican Party (ORP) is simply amazing. While you read the below statement please remember ORP Chairman DeWine wants you to vote for the candidates endorsed by the Ohio Republican Party in the contested statewide GOP primary races.

Making every attempt in trying to claim the ORP shares the same values as the Tea Party groups here, like typical political hacks, the actions of the party prove different. In the below release ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine implies the Tea Party & 9.12 groups are a bunch of "ridiculous, no account, frothing at the mouth, agenda-pushing liars just trying to make noise."

H/T Matt at Weapons of Mass Discussion for this release by ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine (picture added)

Finally, I've seen and heard a lot of ridiculous accusations lately about the role of the Ohio Republican Party in this primary election. Understandably, much of it is motivated by the heightened emotions of political primaries and too often spread with little to no accountability through email, blogs, and social media sites.

Unfortunately, most of it is flat out false, and it's typically generated by people who find the truth just too inconvenient for their agenda. I want you to know you can always contact my office or email me directly if you want answers to any rumor or accusation about something we're doing. This election is too important to let "noise" distract us from the real goal of winning in November.

First, we find it comical the Chairman DeWine talks about the Tea Parties having little or no accountability through email, blogs, and social media sites after his Frat Boys controlling the ORP Face Book page launched a full-frontal Elephant Clan attack on a long time supporter that disagreed with them. This member was pretty much told, "shut up, your stupid, and just make campaigns calls like you are told." You can read this exchange for yourself by clicking here.

Addressing the rest of the nonsensical comments from Chairman DeWine, not only do we challenge him -- but dare him -- to dispute one iota of information posted on this blog, our website or our Face Book page regarding him, the Ohio Republican Party and/or the actions of his ORP State Central Committee leading up to this years primary races.

Take your pick Mr. Chairman -- the Tea Parties & 9.12 groups are nothing without the GOP, the Ohio Republican Party called the police on Patriots protesting at their HQ over the sham state endorsements given out or the false claims you share our values. (click the red links to read more)

Patriots, besides being upset many Tea Party members are running for the State Central Committee as individuals, this is nothing short of an inept, self-serving, arrogant party chairman who's stepped in a pile of elephant dung created by none other then himself and his sheep-like State Central Committee feebly trying to calm the fears and growing anger from within his party ranks by trying to demonize the Tea Party movement in Ohio through some grand old party propaganda. Pretty much like the liberal left and MSM does on a daily basis.

Summing it all up... in reality it appears it is the Tea Partys & 9.12 groups in OH that are becoming an inconvenient truth for the agenda of ORP Chairman DeWine, his State Central Committee and his handpicked, party endorsed, non-Tea Party type candidates.

The floor is yours Mr. Chairman....

Cleveland Tea Party Patriots members running for ORP State Central Committee

Patriots,

There are several CTPP members running for State Central Committee (SCC) for the Ohio Republican Party. For those that don't know what this is.... in a nutshell -- these are the party positions for the State Parties that give out endorsements, vote on party policy and choose the party chairman. The SCC is responsible for the political musical chairs we see in the State Races on the GOP ticket. FOr more on the ORP antics in this years primaries click here.

The SCC is why you only have Mike DeWine to vote for as AG in the GOP primary. Voting in these races is of the utmost importance if we want to stop party hacks from being promoted as candidates, and have a way to advance candidates that share yur views and embrace our core values.

While this not an endorsement, we went to let everyone know some of our members have stepped up as individuals and decided to run for these seats. The SCC is comprised of one woman and one man for each State Senate District. Please check or verify the Senate District where you reside.

A map identifying the state senate district for each Ohio county can be found at
http://www.ohiosenate.gov/map.html.

For this area they are as follows;

Senate District 21
Sue Rodman
Charles Drake

Senate District 23

Mike Griffiths (running against former ORP Chairman Bob Bennett)

Senate District 24
Molly Smith

Senate District 25
Ron Lisy (running against former vice-chair of Republican Party of Cuyahoga County)
Bev Goldstein

Tea Party Scam Alert: OH Elephant Clan on Parade as Tea Party Candidates!

Fellow Patriots

The Ohio Republican Party (Ohio Elephant Clan) and the chief clown leading their three ring political circus -- ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine, are up to their old "we can't do anything with integrity" tricks again!

In a direct mailing campaign for the ORP endorsed candidates, State Central Committee Candidates included, the Ohio Republican Party is including a Tea Party style logo (right) claiming they stand for "Tea Party Values."

The logo alleging that the ORP endorsed candidates share our values is nothing more than a cheap attempt at trying to fool voters into believing these candidates are supported by groups in the Tea Party movement.

This shows the Ohio Republican Party and their leader Chairman Kevin DeWine still does not understand that the Tea Party movement does not exist for the GOP or their handpicked candidates.

That's right the same Ohio Republican Party that has stated the Tea Parties & 9.12 groups are nothing without the GOP, the same Ohio Republican Party that called the police on Patriots protesting at their HQ over the sham state endorsements given out earlier this year are now pretending they have "Tea Party" values!

Make sure you let all your Tea Party & 9.12 friends know, that some of the candidates (Husted, Mike DeWine & Dave Yost) using the above GOP fabricated "Tea Party logo" -- refused to participate in several Tea Party candidate forums -- but now they supposedly share our values.

Cleveland Tea Party Patriots in the Plain Dealer

The Cleveland Plain Dealer political reporter Mark Naymik wrote a piece about Tea Parties in the OH area. (Click Here for whole article) Naymik's story was not one of the usual "hit" pieces we see being published in many other newspaper's -- but there are a few things we want to comment on and that I want to clear up.....

In the side bar of the online version where a description for some of the groups' it states....

"The groups' leanings are shaped by the individuals who lead them and different issues, such as gun control, immigration and state sovereignty."

Cleveland Tea Party Patriots

Run by Ralph King of Bedford who is frustrated by Republican Party politics but encourages members to win internal party positions to build new coalitions. He is leading an effort to send the Ohio Republican Party a truck load of plastic lemons to protest their leadership.

First, the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots have four coordinators. We, the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots are part of the Tea Party Patriots, the national group that started with the original Tax Day Tea Party events held across the U.S. last year in February & April. There are 10 Tea Party Patriot groups in OH and we all strictly adhere to only three issues; Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and the Free Market Concept.

As a Tea Party Patriot group(s), we do not and will not endorse or support candidates. The reason -- nobody should be told who to vote for! We ask our members and all citizens to be free-thinking, sovereign minded, educated voters. When candidates approach us for endorsements, we tell them as a group --we give out no endorsements -- if they earn the support of our individual members, they can get no better endorsement than our members banging the pavement for them.

We have been hosting educational programs outlining the structures of both the Democrat and the Republican party for our members. It is explained, for those interested, getting on internal party committees of both parties is one of the tools we must use to advance public policy consistent with our three core values. For it is on these "party" committees that the candidates and policies are selected and advanced. Without a voice in these committees -- it clear we will continue to be left choosing between the lesser of two evils on election day.

We cannot speak on the doings of other Tea Party and/or conservative groups in OH, other than saying there are many good groups doing a lot of great things. We routinely network and work together with these groups and cannot say enough good things about most of them. You will find the links to many of these groups on the right side bar of our blog.

In the Cuyahoga County area the groups we work closest with are the Cleveland 9.12 Project and the Westlake 9.12. Our groups share many of the same members. As they did last year, both of these groups will be helping promote, support and plan our upcoming 2nd Annual Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th on Mall C in downtown Cleveland.

Describing a recent Republican Party of Cuyahoga County (RPCC) event and the convenient "new" so-called conversion of the Republicans, Naymik wrote the following....

To promote the Rally for Freedom, Cuyahoga County Republican Party Chairman Rob Frost reached out to Tea Party activists, including Ralph King, who runs the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots.

Frost asked him to attend and to promote the event. But King did little, instead promoting and attending a Tea Party event on the same day at Cleveland's Beachland Ballroom, which included conservatives promoting a barter system and the creation of state militias.

"The Republican Party is thumbing their nose at all our groups," says King, who encourages people to run for internal party posts to build a new coalition. "The Republican Party thinks it's their job to pick candidates, and they refuse to listen to the people. As far as them trying to embrace us, that's a crock."

Frost says the Cuyahoga County GOP wants Tea Party activists, independent voters, libertarians and "and others who feel left out of the process."

But he acknowledges that the party is trying to show off a new side of its politics to pull people in.

First and most importantly -- the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots do not support in any way, shape or form creating a private militia or barter system. Personally, I feel this is foolish and distracts from the important tasks at hand. Taking up arms against our own government is something I could never support. The ammunition we will be using in effecting this change are free-thinking, sovereign minded & educated voters. We believe there is no weapon stronger than an awakened & informed American public.

The Power of Coalitions event I spoke at was sponsored & hosted by a new conservative group -- Cuyahoga County for Liberty (CC4L). This was not a Tea Party or Tea Party event. We were there to promote the CTPP and support CC4L and the initiative they will be starting in this area to outlaw red light cameras. We were not there in support of starting a militia or a barter system.

The reasons for the CTPP not promoting or being part of the Rally for Freedom event is simple -- we are not a partisan group and we do not exist for promoting partisan events. I graciously thanked Rob Frost for the invite and wished him the best of luck.

Proving that this was the right decision -- we heard from many people inside the RPCC how there was much arm-twisting that ALL the Statewide GOP candidates be allowed to speak at the event. Initially, the RPCC only wanted to allow the party favorites, meaning endorsed, candidates to speak. So it was actually party insiders expressing their anger & Naymik's inquiring about who would be speaking at the event that prompted the RPCC's sudden change in allowing all the GOP Statewide candidates to speak.

And as expected, all the candidates share Tea Party values and are Tea Partiers in their own right! Well, isn't that special! Even the tax-loving -- John "Mr. CAT Tax" Husted -- claims he is a Tea Party person. The problem is Husted and his love of taxes would be on the British side.

In all fairness, we have not had the problems with Rob Frost as we have had with other GOP County Chairman and/or the Lemon-like leadership of Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine and his ORP State Central Committee.

In Ohio, for the most part the ORP is just thumbing their elephant trunks at all of the Tea Party Patriot, Tea Party, 9.12 and other conservative groups. This can be clearly seen by the actions they have exhibited during their backroom bantering, deal making and the political version of musical chairs regarding the ORP endorsement proceedings. (Click here for more on the ORP).

So, we will end this post with a challenge for all the endorsed candidates in the GOP Primaries for State office races in OH to put their candidacy where their mouth is. We want them to show by actions -- not by platitudes and political double speak that they embrace the Tea Party movement.

Knowing many, if not all, the Tea Party Patriot groups, Tea Party groups & 9.12 groups in OH were almost unanimously against the back room deals made during the ORP endorsement proceedings for State offices -- we challenge these so-called Tea Party loving candidates that received the ORP endorsement to refuse accepting and/or refute the ORP endorsement.

If the endorsed candidates truly embrace the Tea Party movement we ask you show us in actions and not words that you really put "We the People" before "We the Party."

Send a Leadership Lemon to the Ohio Republican Party

Patriots,

It’s time to put the “squeeze” on the Lemon-like Leaders of the Ohio Republican Party!

In the spirit of Paul Revere, join us in delivering a message that we our tired of their lemon-like leadership by sending a personalized "Leadership Lemon" to Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine and the sour leaders currently on the ORP State Central Committee.

The Definition of a Lemon

In American English the word lemon was first recorded in 1909 in the slang sense of "worthless thing." Over time, 'lemon' came to refer to anything that was defective or broken or which breaks constantly.

On a date and time to be announced, your replica & life sized LEADERSHIP LEMON, along with those sent by thousands of other concerned Americans, will be hand delivered by Tea Party Patriots faithful in Ohio to the ORP Headquarters.

When we arrive with truckloads of your LEADERSHIP LEMON's at the offices of these self-serving , LEMON- like party leaders... things are sure to get a little sticky for the sour bunch on the State Central Committee too!

Note: The Leadership Lemons are not real lemons-- they are plastic replicas of real sized lemons. Each order will be accompanied by a seperate personalized card from you.

Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine now Threatening Candidates

I guess with smear campaigns not being enough, it appears ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine, still trying to manipulate the integrity of the election process and the will of the voters, is now resorting to veiled threats directed at State Auditor candidate Seth Morgan.

Via Right Ohio from the Dayton Daily News.....
“I think Seth could have a bright future in our party if he makes the right decisions,” Kevin DeWine said in an e-mail. “He’s a politically ambitious young man and sometimes that desire to climb the political ladder can make you do things you end up regretting.” More.....

It sounds as if ORP Chairman DeWine is saying.... "if a candidate for office doesn't adhere and subscribe to the backroon deals we make -- they will regret the day they challenged us."

No Chairman DeWine.... the safe bet would be -- you will regret the day you thumbed your elephant clan trunk at the Tea Party & 9.12 Groups in OH.

OH Republican Party Starts Lie-Filled Smear Campaign

The following lie-filled email from Belmont County GOP Chairman Kent Moore has been sent to the other GOP County Chairman in OH.

From our Tea Leaf filled email bag -- (Emphasis Added)

Dear Republican County Chairman,

Having served as a County Chairman in two very different county's in my life time, it never ceases to amaze me on how some folks ego's can cloud their judgment.

Rarely in politics have I come across a candidate who is at once so openly disdainful of our party and our process, yet still brazen enough to ask for your support. Seth Morgan is currently trying to have it both ways with you, and I thought you should know the truth about this young man.

Recently, we needed to fill a void on the statewide ticket left when Mary Taylor decided to join John Kasich’s campaign and not seek re-election. You may recall that I immediately sent you an email requesting your consideration of Dave Yost for that spot. Dave had been all over Ohio during the previous year, and had built a statewide network that was truly impressive. Dave’s been in my county, and undoubtedly in many of yours. He is a former County Auditor, and is ready to fill Mary’s shoes right away. Polling has already shown that voters want an Auditor to be Auditor, which neither Seth Morgan, nor David Pepper is or has ever been.

I for one, not even knowing Seth Morgan's interest at the time, did reach out to Dave and ask him if he, given his Auditor background, would consider running for State Auditor. Given the importance of this office and with his proven track record, he would give us the best opportunity to retain it. I along with others I am sure, suggested for him to consider it, knowing he would be the one who would have to make that decision. My decision to urge you to consider Dave’s candidacy was decried by Seth’s campaign as a “backroom deal” and he accused Dave of “bending to political pressure” when he made his decision to step up and bring his considerable skills to the Auditor’s race. But Seth saw fit to judge my decision as political expediency –even though he does not know me. His campaign’s barrage of negative attacks on the party and our traditions and processes did not end there.

About two weeks ago, the Ohio Republican State Central Committee met in Columbus to consider an endorsement in this race. Dave Yost won the endorsement easily, joining the other slate of endorsed candidates we had already chosen to win back Ohio for us in 2010. Seth Morgan’s name was not placed into nomination by anyone on the Committee.

Seth had spent several days leading up to the meeting, apparently asking his small group of vocal supporters to call and harass voting members. Many were told they would draw challengers for their seats when their re-elections came up. They were bombarded with scripted emails and angry phone calls from individuals accusing them of playing old politics and calling them “RINOs” among other things.

Instead of vying for the nomination and respecting our party, Seth created a spectacle outside of party headquarters with people holding signs, yelling at committee members as they walked into the building, and chanting angry slogans – all for the media to see – based on fallacies about our party and our chairman, assumed to be true by Seth. One Committee member was physically threatened by a misguided individual who was sent to Columbus.

The whole thing was shameful, orchestrated by a guy who thought attacking them would scare them into supporting his candidacy. They are volunteers, elected by the members of their party in their districts – and I for one, don't respond well to threats or scare tactics when doing what I believe to be best for my party.

Now Seth has sent around the email below, asking you at the county level to consider supporting his candidacy. For one, he’s asking you to ignore the State Central Committee, who has already endorsed, in another attempt to divide allegiances and draw attention to himself.

He’s also asking you to pay no attention to the pitiful tactics he’s already employed when criticizing party leaders, many who are volunteer's like you and me, following their conscience and doing their jobs on behalf of a well qualified candidate who has out-worked Seth.

Seth may in fact have a future in our party, but he has a lot to learn about working with and for people. I suggest, that as a newly elected official, he work harder at doing the job of which people in his district elected him to do. I’ll be happy to explain to Seth that the reason he will not receive the support of this chairman at this time is not because I believe in “waiting your turn” as Seth again assumes to be the case – but because he needs to learn to respect the GOP and it's elected leaders, before he can expect to earn our support. I hope you’ll join me in delivering this message to him.

Sincerely,

Kent Moore
Belmont County Chairman
Though the Tea Party Patriots do not endorse candidates, we do and will continue doing our best to educate our members and the general public -- which is why the above lies cannot go unanswered.

The peaceful protest at the ORP HQ against the personal vendetta's over good politics and political musical chairs being played by the lemon-like leadership in the ORP & the State Central Committee in the State Auditor & Attorney General race was NOT orchestrated by the Morgan campaign, it was -- in the truest sense -- a grass roots effort by a majority of the Tea Parties, 9.12 groups and other conservative groups throughout OH.

On a side note.... I have also been informed that in his interview with the City Club of Cleveland, ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine described this protest as a small handful of angry protesters that has been blown out of proportion. Oh Really?!?

Shocked that anyone would dare challenge the entitlement mindset of the ORP and their process, just like some of the Democrats did in our visits with them, the goose-stepping goons of the OH GOP even called the police on the Tea Partiers that came to visit.

(Click here for an accurate overview of the disgusting backroom politics behind the OH GOP endorsement in the State Auditor race. )

Patriots.... it is clear from the above email and the previous comments of Columbiana County Chairman Dave Johnson that -- "the Tea Parties & 9.12 Groups are nothing without the GOP" -- it is the Ohio Republican Party, under the lemon-like leadership of Chairman Kevin DeWine and the current State Central Committee, that they still don't get it and a message must be delivered to them!

This message should reflect their leadership! Join us in sending Leadership Lemons to ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine & the ORP State Central Committee...

Tea Party Protests at the Ohio Republican Party HQ

Again failing to hear our phone calls, faxes, emails & protests, the lemon heads runnings the Ohio Republican Party move on in a closed door & teleconferenced endorsement meeting for Dave Yost as Auditor.

Here is the You Tube Video of the Tea Party protest at the ORP HQ we found at Bizzy Blog....

Here is part of a post Tom at Bizzy Blog did for Pajamas Media....

Just two weeks ago, the situation was at least tolerable. Though what I have been calling ORPINO (the Ohio Republican Party in Name Only) was backing a residency-challenged candidate for secretary of state (more on that in a bit), it at least had the sense not to get in the way of proven fiscal conservative John Kasich’s outsider-framed effort. On January 14, Kasich selected current state auditor and rising star Mary Taylor as his running mate. This move justifiably led ORPINO chair Kevin DeWine to declare Kasich-Taylor “as strong a gubernatorial ticket as you will see on any ballot in any state.”

Then Kevin DeWine proceeded to complete his ruination of most of the rest of the ticket in the name of money and nepotism.

Until he decided he wanted to be Ohio’s next attorney general, Kevin’s relative, former U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, was last seen being repudiated twice by Buckeye State voters in a 17-month span in 2005-2006. First, despite spending $1 million, his son Pat finished a distant fourth in a June 2005 GOP primary race to fill an open congressional seat.

That thrashing was accurately seen as a proxy repudiation of Mike over his participation in the Gang of 14 and other conservative-betraying votes. After yet another vote in November 2005 to stop drilling for oil in Alaska and a 2006 GOP primary where two completely underfunded challengers blockaded by ORPINO nonetheless took 28% of the vote, Mike DeWine lost his U.S. Senate reelection race against far-left Cleveland-area Congressman Sherrod Brown by a stunning 12 points.

Second-cousin Kevin and the ORPINO gang decided that this awful track record justified clearing the AG field for Mike, even though DeWine’s primary opponent Dave Yost had already racked up a 5-0 record in December and January GOP county endorsement meetings and had earned an intense level of tea party and other grassroots enthusiasm. More....

The only way we can stop this nonsense is by getting involved!

Tea Party Patriot Action Alert: The Ohio Republican Party is playing their games -- Again!

Action Alert

Patriots,

Once again, and at the expense of conservative voters in OH, the Ohio Republican Party (ORP) is up to their back room deals. Or maybe we should say -- blunders! After the political version of musical chairs in the State Auditor & State Attorney General primary elections the conservative grassroots groups across Ohio are fit to be tied and are taking a stand against this nonsense that is destroying our state.

Earlier this year the Tea Party Patriot groups and many other 9.12 Groups in OH asked the ORP to show some respect towards 9/11 and not hold an endorsement meeting for State offices on this day. The ORP, unable to answer as to why their endorsement meeting HAD to be held on 9/11 and could not be held on any other day, responded to our requests with attacks on the Tea Partys & 9.12 Groups....
This is NONSENSE! State GOP Chairman Kevin DeWine has every right to call a meeting of the State Republican Committee on 9/11...

And we, as the governing body of the state's Republican Party, have every right to endorse in a Primary Election, not for the benefit of voters who are not registered Republicans, but for the benefit of those registered Republicans that look to the Party leadership for guidance.

Get off of your high horse and recognize that all of the Tea Parties and Town Hall Meetings across the nation mean NOTHING without the viable alternative that the Republican Party...and the conservative principles for which this Party stands...represents for the American people. (Dave Johnson Columbiana Co. GOP Chairman & State Central Committee 30th Senate District)
Taking Johnson's response above and combining it with the response from State Central Committeewoman Colleen Wing ( 23rd Senate District) it is clear that although across the nation we have been heard -- the Ohio Republican Party is ignoring the voice of the people and in fact think it is their job to choose for us who will be the future leaders for OH and this country...
"It is important to me that we live our lives in respect of the lives that were lost and the actions that were taken on that day. Being with my fellow committee members, planning and preparing for an important election is my way of ensuring the future of our State and ultimately our Country. We are choosing our future leaders." (Emphasis Added)
The ORP State Central Committee is holding a teleconference call Monday February 1 to vote on endorsements for the State Auditor & State Attorney General primary. To conduct this proceeding over the phone, a suspension of the rules is neccessary. The reason this meeting is being held by teleconference is that the ORP does not want the Tea Party Patriots & 9.12 groups in OH holding a rally at their office while these proceedings would be taking place.

After they vote to suspend the rules, the farcical endorsements will be "given" out. Notice I did not say "earned."

After refusing to give out an endorsement to Mike DeWine or Dave Yost for State Attorney General at the
MUST have 9/11 meeting, now that Yost slinked out of the A.G. primary and has slithered into the State Auditor race -- Chairman Kevin DeWine and the State Central Committee want to endorse the two for their respective races. In exchange for helping Orp Chairman kevin DeWine & John Husted settle a personal vendetta and his getting out of the State AG primary and into the State Auditor race, Yost was promised the endorsement for the State Auditor primary.

The sheep serving on ORP State Central Committee should be ashamed of allowing themselves to be used as tools to help further the personal political agenda & grade school like vendetta's of the lemon-like leadership of Chairman Kevin DeWine and his sidekick John Husted.

We are asking that you contact ORP Chairman and the State Central Committee and request that rules not be suspended & NO endorsement be given out for these races. Let them know should they decide to AGAIN ignore our requests the GOP endorsement will serve as a scarlet letter for their chosen candidates.

Take Action:
---then forward this---

1.) Call OH GOP Chairman Kevin DeWine (614)228-2481

Ohio Republican Party kicks OH Conservatives in the Buckeyes

If you have ever walked into a voting booth and felt you are continually forced to choose between the lesser of two evils -- you will want to continue reading this post. This post will highlight the backroom deals made this year by the Ohio Republican Party regarding the State offices in this upcoming election.

Prior to the political version of musical chairs, the GOP primary races for state offices were pretty much set as;
  • Governor's Office: John Kasich

  • State Treasurer: Josh Mandel

  • State Auditor: Mary Taylor (incumbent)

  • Secretary of State: Sandy O'Brien vs. John Husted

  • State Attorney General: Dave Yost vs. Mike DeWine
With two very strong conservatives challenging life time politicians in the Secretary of State & Attorney Generals race, and with the all-important apportionment board being at stake this was shaping up to be a very strong ticket -- but then, as usual and at the expense of the Ohio voters, partisan politics & personal vendetta's of Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine & State Senator John Husted came into play.

First we will start with the Auditors race before the political musical chair game began....

Mary Taylor was truly a God send for the State of OH. This women saved untold millions of dollars for our state. But Mary was quite contrary during her time as a State Rep in the OH House and refused to go along State Rep John Husted, the water boy for carrying former Governor Taft's failed policies and tax increases.

Refusing to be a party hack, Taylor earned the ire of Husted. It was made clear to Taylor after she was the only Republican elected for a State office in the 2006 elections -- that the party (ORP) would not help her with fundraising or campaigning for reelection this year.

Taylor was given the OH GOP endorsement for this uncontested primary at the infamous OH GOP endorsement meeting that HAD to be held on 9/11/09. The Republican primary winner will face off against the Democrat candidate Hamilton County Commissioner David "Deep Pockets" Pepper in the General Election.

The fact that Taylor was a true conservative, a rabid watchdog of our money, and the BEST damn State Auditor we have had in a very long time came in second to Husted & Kevin DeWine's vendetta against her and the plotted agenda of consolidating their power for their ultimate quest of eventually having John Husted become Governor. Taylor, besides not wanting to help Husted carry Taft's water, would also be considered a threat for Husted if she ever decided to run for Governor.

Now we will move to the State Attorney General race.....

Facing off in the GOP primary for this race was former Senator Mike DeWine and Hamilton County Prosecutor Dave Yost.

This primary between Yost and the global warming-loving, gun-hating, lifetime politician, former Senator Mike DeWine appeared to be an easy pick for many conservatives in OH. Why? Because Mike DeWine is a part-time conservative.... meaning he "becomes" conservative just prior to election time.

With his racking up of endorsements from many of the Republican County Prosecutors in OH, his easily starting to win endorsements over Mike DeWine from county GOP parties (5-0) and having the support by all the gun-groups in OH over Mike DeWine, the conservatives and grass roots groups in this state were clearly sending a message to the supposed leadership in the Ohio Republican Party as to who they wanted as their candidate for Attorney General -- Dave Yost.

In the "Tea Parties & 9.12 Groups are nothing without the GOP" meeting held on 9/11/09 in which State GOP endorsements were given out -- Chairman Dewine & the OH GOP State Central Committee refused to give out an endorsement in this race. Even with endorsements strangely given out for uncontested primaries in State races, this was the only State office that an endorsement was not given.

Now this is where you get a headache and will have your already high level of disgust for the political system & the lemon of a state political party -- the Ohio Republican Party -- will shoot through the roof....

Mary Taylor, because of her own lack of fund raising ability and her being locked out of party money due to the Kevin DeWine/John Husted vendetta target on her back, was woefully behind in raising campaign funds for her reelection against eventual run against the Democrat candidate in the General Election -- Hamilton County Commissioner David "Deep Pockets" Pepper. The fact that Pepper's father was a big shot with Proctor & Gamble also contributed to the big money Republicans from the Cincy area that he is friends with of not wanting to cross him and refused to financially support Taylor.

Much to the dismay of Kevin DeWine & Husted, seeing that Mary Taylor was being left out to dry & knowing DeWine & Husted were all giggly over Taylor's imminent political demise, John Kasich threw Taylor a political life-line and asked her to run as his Lt. Governor -- thus creating a vacancy on the GOP primary ticket for the State Auditors race.

When Taylor abandoned her reelection bid for State Auditor, Ohio State Representative Seth Morgan announced his candidacy for this seat. Though Taylor was a superstar and had the power of running as an incumbent going for her, Morgan had the same drive and qualifications Taylor and the Ohio Republican Party stated was needed for being a State Auditor when she successfully ran for this office -- that a person running for State Auditor should be a CPA. Morgan, like Taylor, is a C.P.A.

So.... everything in Elephant Clan land was all good now - right? Nope! Even though he was a qualified candidate by being a CPA & had shown he was a fiscal watchdog as a Huber Hts. Councilman & OH House member, during this time Seth Morgan also ran a foul of the lemon-like leadership of ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine & his trusted tax-loving sidekick John Husted.

Putting personal vendetta's above good leadership & promoting good conservatives like they are supposed too, ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine & John Husted set out on a search for a sap to get in the State Auditors race for a run against Seth Morgan.

Were they looking for a better candidate? Nope, any warm bodied sucker would do.

After shopping around and offering a guaranteed endorsement from the GOP State Central Committee but no financial support for getting in State Auditor primary to several people and being laughed at, Kevin DeWine & John Husted finally found their sucker in Dave Yost.

Yost, who is NOT a CPA, in a major lapse of good judgement and integrity, and knowing he was also being blocked in fund raising by the GOP money bags not wanting to donate against the friend of John Kasich & well-funded -- Mike DeWine, dropped out of the Attorney General primary and will run in the State Auditor primary against Seth Morgan. In a fit of fantasy land thinking, Yost feels that since he is now the handpicked candidate of Kevin DeWine & John Husted, the same GOP money men who refused donating to Mary Taylor in the Auditors race against Pepper -- will now open their check books for him.

For the record.... there is no love lost between cousins Kevin DeWine & Mike DeWine. ORP Chair Kevin DeWine would love nothing more than seeing Mike DeWine get beat in the primary, but he knows his lemon-like leadership was too weak to help Yost beat his cousin and settling the score against Morgan was more important.

So because of the above, the make Sen. George Voinovich look conservative, gun-hating, lover of global warming lifetime politician Mike DeWine will get a free pass in the Republican primary for State Attorney General and the ORP is pushing a candidate in the Auditor primary, Yost, that just wants to get elected to a state office and is according to their own words in Taylor's race for Auditor four (4) years ago unfit to be State Auditor because he is NOT a CPA.

I bet you thought our fight in pushing public policy consistent with our three core values was going to only be against the progressive liberals. So for the party hacks out there saying the leadership of the Ohio Republican Party promotes good conservative candidates and hears the voices of the grass roots groups is equal to agreeing that the science behind global warming is accurate.

Equally disturbing as the above is the fact that the people serving on the governing body of the Ohio Republican Party, the State Central Committee, have ALL sat silent as the future of OH is being frittered away over elementary school type vendetta's from the lemon-like leadership at the ORP.
