Many of you are probably wondering, "Are we really making a difference?!?” The answer is a resounding YES!!!!
The Senate still has not voted on Cap and Trade and their goal was for that to be law by now. The Senate and House Leadership expected the health care bill to be out of Congress (both the House and the Senate) before the August recess. As we know, even with the help of a White House pay off, it barely squeaked by in the House and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is scrambling to get the 60 votes he needs.
With your continued help and we can make sure this does not happen. Together, each and everyone of us is making a difference. And this is why the below Action Alert is so important!
One thing we are asking you to do that is different this week is to call not just the Targeted Senators and your own Senators but also the Senate Minority Leadership (see list of phone numbers below).
Erick Erickson from Redstate.com explains why it is important that the Republican minority fight the government takeover of health care in the Senate with everything they have. We implore you to take the time to read this article in Redstate.
To defeat this bill which will take away our liberty, we need Republicans to step up to the plate and exercise their rights in the Senate as much as we need the targeted Senators to vote no on the bill.
From what we are gathering, many of the Senators in the minority need to know that we support them. Today we were notified that the Senate offices have been buried with calls from AARP members urging them to support the Senate health care bill. It is very important that we encourage these Senators to stand up and fight. They seemingly do not have the courage and conviction to do what is right because it is the right thing to do on their own.
They need us to give them that courage! This week we are going to give it to them!

8:45 AM For those in DC, meet at Upper Senate Park to break into groups and go into the Senate Office Buildings to talk to our Senators for Government Waiting Rooms.
1:30 PM for those in DC, Senate Emergency Call Rally in Upper Senate Park, hosted by Americans for Prosperity and others.
If you can go to your Senators local district offices, do so.

If you cannot personally visit, PLEASE make phone calls and send faxes to DC and the local district offices. Ask your Senators to vote NO on the health care bill. If your Senator is already voting no, ask the Senator to exercise every single parliamentary procedure in the Senate to stop this bill. Tell them you personally and on behalf of other Tea Party Patriots from around the country support their no vote and their actions to stop the bill.
